We love La Vecchi Fontana and have been going there for several years now. The food is excellent and the service is great. Never had a bad meal there. We highly recommend this restaurant if you love good Italian food.

WE always have a good meal at this establishment. WE go approximately every 3 weeks. The nightly special prices are a little high but they have always been great to outstanding.

Food was very good, but service was terrible. We had to ask what non alcoholic they had because non offered . And we weren’t even asked about seeing the dessert menu. And overall our waiter was preoccupied with doing other things and not seeing if we needed anything. The app fried Calamari was excellent with a lifer breading and some shrimp included also as the highlight.

We had a party of 10 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Ordered a ton of appetizers family style and they were all great. Having been out to most of the other Italian places in Avalon this one rates hire for me. Its probably due to it being smaller sized then the other ones so they can focus more on making sure the quality is high on every dish they serve. Will be back!

My wife and I enjoyed a delightful meal at La Vecchia. The food was some of the best we’ve ever eaten. Prices are steep, and it’s not high on ambiance. But very authentic Italian, including all the wait staff. Definitely on our repeat list!

We had a 5:15 reservation and the restaurant was empty with only 2 tables filled. Despite this, our service was inattentive and slow. My daughters had the gnocchi sorrento which was excellent and they enjoyed a lot. I had the shrimp and lobster fradiavlo. The seafood was poor quality to the point I did not even eat half the lobster tail. The linguine was definitely homemade and cooked perfectly but I did not enjoy it as it was a little too fishy. And not very spicy at all. The meal was definitely mixed reviews and not worth the price. There are definitely better restaurants in this town and surrounding towns.

Upon arrival we were greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was over quickly and brought out beverages and appetizers to n a timely manner. Main courses took a bit longer but well worth the wait. Food and service was excellent all around.

We have been to La Fontana Coast and LF Vecchia is just as good. The food was terrific and portions were large. The excellent veal was tender and my octopus appetizer was wonderful. One giant cannoli allowed all four at my table to have a nice sampling. The only suggestion is to get a diverse tea selection. Parking is easy and everything was so nice on a quiet Monday evening.

The food was great! Atmosphere leaves a little to be desired but not horrible. Loved the Italian music playing. The only criticism I can make is that they charged $55.00 for their special which was orange roughy over capellini with a white wine sauce. It was delicious but way over priced. They don't tell you how much the special is going to be when they describe them so you are a bit surprised when you get the check.

This was our first time dining here. Food was good however, waited 45 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. We waited another 60 minutes to be served. We had 2 waiters and wasn’t sure which one was the main waiter. The restaurant should consider hiring more help or not taking that many reservations to allow customers to enjoy the food and experience instead of packing many reservations and unable to manage them. Poor customer service. Not once did the waiter asked if food was good or if we needed anything. Our wine was not open for a long time since we could not get a waiter to come to our table. We end up eating too late.

We always enjoy the food - quality ingredients, great sauces. The special pasta was a dish of Sacchetti with Shrimp and Lobster in a creamy blush sauce. Really delicious! They were a little disorganized getting people seated for the reservations, but it was very busy for the 4th of July.
