Loved everything but the acoustics aren’t great it’s hard to hear because it’s so loud
I took my boyfriend there for dinner on his bday. They upgraded us to the best table, the food was great as was the service and vibe. They brought out a plate with a huge piece of tiramisu with strawberries and mint, Bday candle and happy birthday written in chocolate. Perfect ending to the perfect dinner. We will absolutely return! Thank you Tao and all involved!
This was our third or fourth dinner at La Vecchia. The atmosphere and the food is always excellent. The bread is amazing! The portions are large and everything we had was fresh, tasty, and well prepared. Always a great experience!
Great food!! The Special Trout Fish is out of this world! We had delish pizza for appetizers, all four had seafood and all loved their meals! Feels like a fabulous neighborhood gem! Dessert was chocolate mousse w raspberries and enough four four to share. Super busy and can get noisy ... worth it!
Food and service was great! The noise level was a bit high to have much conversation across the table with a party of six guests. We all enjoyed dinner and the diverse menu lended quite a few food choices.
The evening was wonderful because of the occasion and the company. Our waiter seemed like we were a bit of an intrusion into his evening. I wouldn’t return or recommend; not because the food is bad, but there are equally great restaurants in the area, based on meal quality, with better service.
We have eaten at La Vecchia many times. It never disappoints. It’s superb Italian food at very reasonable prices. I cannot say enough positive things about this little gem.
We were visiting Santa Monica and looking for great italian pasta. La veccia cucina is so perfect for us! Nice place, good food . We will recomend to friends who come to SanTa Mónica
We love this restaurant. We received excellent service on Easter.
Too loud. Everything else was fantastic.
The pizza we ordered (fungi with prosciutto) was excellent. I ordered for 2 visits in a row the "fargalla la Vecchia" with lobster, asparagus and Alba mushrooms in a delightfully briny pomodoro sauce. Nice bottle of Sartori Amarone, the lemon hazelnut meringue dessert - excellent dervice!
Love the lamb chop salad & lemon hazelnut torte. One of my favorite places for lunch!!
This restaurant has excellent food. The bread is incredible with the olive oil, garlic and basil.
The portions are nice size for what you are paying for. Everything was very tasty and well presented on the plate! We all eat with our "eyes", and they do a very nice job at presenting the food! The ambiance inside the restaurant is very nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place. It is a great find and not overly pricey either!
Great food, always a fun spot with good service!! Perfect date spot.
Great service, the staff is lovely. Delicious gluten free pasta!
Very disappointing. The food was awful, but the waiter was excellent. After checking in early, they asked us to go shopping next door. Food was inedible - more than one dish was left untouched. The wait staff was the best part of this place. As a foodie, I would never go back. The Maitre 'D specifically sent us to the shoe store next door and then told us he almost marked us as a no show / had no recollection of speaking to us and then tried to seat us next to the bathroom.
Crowded, Noisy , no intimacy.
Good food and service.
Quintessential neighborhood restaurant...a menu everyone will love. Friendly, longtime staff make sure you have a memorable meal every time.
We had a lovely evening with good food and especially good service. Love the old Italian look.
Would surely go back there. Yes, it does get a bit noisy.
One of the best restaurants on the westside. A true culinary gem!
The family went for my wife’s birthday dinner. The food was great. The ambience and service were very good. We will go back time and time again!
Consistent good food and service
We made our reservation using open table and the restaurant called us to confirm.
The atmosphere is very open and inviting
The food is outstanding and the restaurant had many Italian people eating there as well.
The focchia bread was great with olive oil and garlic.
The soup special was delicious and we shared a pizza Marguerita and had two different pastas that we shared that were delicious.
The cannolis were great too.
Great service great food a bit noisy but really authentic Italian cuisine.
Loved being at La Vecchia as usual. Been there several times and always invite new people to join us. Host super friendly at the door, sat us immediately at a great table in front! Service people amazingly nice and helpful. Always a great vibe in there and super busy. Food is always fantastic. We love this place!!~ what else can I say?
The food was very good. However, the service was not so great. Had to wait quite a long time between courses, and the waiter was nowhere to be found. Also had to wait a long time for the check.
Always a lovely experience. Food is amazing
Good food ! Beware the noise level however!
We have dined at La Vecchia for over a few years and have found it very charming with great food and ambiance; however, last Saturday while we were there, the noise level actually hurt my ears. It was impossible to carry on a meaningful conversation due to the number of guests and the acoustics.
Great food and experience.
Awful. The restaurant was not busy but the waiter only came by to take the order and to get the payment. No service whatsoever. Sad
without a doubt...this restaurant is in a class of its own....we enjoy dining here as often as time permits.....outstanding Italian dishes, appropriate prices and most important, service without parallel.
Spectacular as always, in every possible way!
Best genuine Italian food in town !!! House chianti is great !
Family getting together from out of town. We all loved our dinner. Second time at this restaurant. We have already made another reservation.
Made a reservation. Got seated right away. Asked for a quiet table. Got a really nice, quiet window table away from center of noise. Very professional yet very friendly servers. Food was delicious. Brought my friend, who's birthday it was, a lovely plated dessert.
Love, love, love this place - I've been coming here since moving to Santa Monica - that was in 1987! Still the absolute best Italian - and happy hour there is, bar none. But, don't read this because I still want to be able to get a seat!
Good food. Good service. But the tables are too close together
Great food, nice menu loved the food! Great wine list
Excellent service and great food! Wide selection of pastas and even secondis. Loved their glass of pinot noir ‘The Calling.’ Highly recommend it anyone looking for a lovely date night.
