Park in Vail Village Public parking structure. Parking is free after 3pm daily. Park on the far west end of the Vail Village Parking Structure and exit by foot. This exit is named Crossroads. We are located directly across the street from the Crossroads exit.
If you are riding the Vail Bus, please get off at either the Solaris or Bridge Street stops. If your arriving by Eco Transit or hotel shuttles get off at the top level of the Vail Transportation Center and walk down the steps to your right. We are located directly across the street from the West end of the Vail Transportation Center.

La Tour consists of four distinct dining areas. Each may be reserved individually or in any combination and seat up to 12, 27, 36 or 40 people.

Food was discounted for off season but I would have enjoyed at regular price. Meat cooked well and cut like butter. Bread was fresh and crispy. Place was full not packed. Atmosphere contemporary. We could not eat dessert. Too full. Service a little slow but competent.
I happened to be in Vail for work and did a quick search of best places to eat and found La Tour. The reviews weren't great but I decided to ignore the nit picky and try it out. I had a small table over in a corner and was seated next to a couple who were very loud so I switched my seat to block out the noise.
My server was very attentive and offered good advice when I asked for feedback on 2 different dishes. All of the entrees were $25 since its off season so the value was great. I ordered the escargot entree and then the bread plate with butter and olives. While the flavor of the escargot was very good, I found the house made cheese on the bread plate to be very bland.
For my entree I ordered the beef tenderloin which was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I am a red meat eater and ordered it medium rare and it was perfect. There was not one morsel left on my plate. My dessert was even better! I ordered the apple-date cake with the whipped cream and bananas foster sauce. If I didn't think it would be rude I would have licked the plate. So good!! Topped all of this off with a nice latte and enjoyed a nice after dinner walk back to my hotel.
I will be back at some point and you can bet I will get the tenderloin!
Great atmosphere, delicious food, and attentive staff. Had a delicious dinner with many options to choose from on menu. Entree was cooked perfectly with nice plate presentation. I had steak which was tender and flavorful. My friends enjoyed seafood and a vegetarian option. Waiter was friendly, accommodating, and enjoyable.
We had a reservation but were sat in the bar right next to the in/out door for the kitchen (probably the worst table in the place) Our creative cocktails were beautiful and delicious. The lobster toast was amazing. I ordered a medium rare steak that was overcooked and even burnt a bit as well as bland. The service was alright, but no one asked how our food was...
The restaurant was doing $20.17 entrees, so it was extremely busy. So busy that we were crowded into a corner table that was very awkward for the servers, they forgot a sauce on an entree, and they charged $6.00 for bread. The wine was excellent, the service was nominal, the food was good. I'm very turned off by them charging for bread now and probably won't go back. There are too many other choices.
Thank you again for giving us a wonderful anniversary dinner. This was our third time celebrating our anniversary with you. I appreciate that your chef accommodates my food allergies (gluten, dairy, soy, and fructose). The salmon pork belly entree is the best!! Our waiter, Bob, has helped us for the last two years and he’s great. One suggestion - offering a gluten free bread before the meal would be fantastic! See you next year!
We were there during restaurant week and the entrees were all 20.17 and the entree choices were all superb. I had venison and my wife had Halibut, both meals were served with a cranberry sauce which was delicious. Our waiter, BOB, was exceptional.
We were slightly disappointed with their offer of 25% off wines. Most wines were in the $200 range
La Tour is one of the best restaurants in Vail! Our waiter Bob (or Todd I forgot) was great! The sommelier Kai did an awesome job of recommending two delicious wines for us. The chicken paillard is always awesome there. Highly recommend La Tour and will be back!
I always dine alone and service is sub par. The food was very good, the waiter umm before or after he told me the beer I ordered was non alcoholic. Then didn't offer a second glass till my food was almost gone. My reservation was at 9:30 and it was so loud.
We've eaten here before and always have had a wonderful experience. This time, it took the kitchen 1 hours 45 minutes to bring our meals, which by then were unappealing. BTW, the restaurant was not at all crowded. Well over an hour into our seating, we notified the manager of our displeasure , and after apologizing non-stop, he promised to learn the reason for the delay, and would report back to us. After another 30 minute wait and not having seen him at all, we started to leave. Right then, the waiters brought the meals, so we stayed, but didn't enjoy them as we should have. The restaurant comp'd our entrees, which was very nice, but we would have preferred paying full price and ultimately enjoyed the experience the way we expected. The waiter was very apologetic, and because he had no part in the kitchen's failure, we tipped him accordingly, but management really handled their problem unprofessionally and unsatisfactorily. From now on, we have other options for fine dining in the Valley.
They changed the menu and the current one is not that good. I had the lamb and cheese appetizer which was horrible and too salty. And I also had the grilled foie gras, which is not for everybody, as it is very oily. I liked it, but the portion was minuscule. My husband had the Grilled Venison Medallions, which were good, but again the portion was tiny. My daughter had Mac and cheese and it was not good at all. And the chocolate mousse dessert was mediocre as well. Overall disappointed with this dinning experience. I was expecting more from a French cuisine restaurant. It is expensive too and the quality does not justify the price.
This is my favorite restaurant in Vail, and this time I shared it with two visitors. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by the bread they serve, and we all agreed the bread here was fabulous. I had my favorite entree, the Chicken Paillard, and finished with a delicious creme brûlée.
La Tour, touted as the most romantic and best French restaurant in Vail, certainly lived up to its reputation. With both indoor and outdoor dining this restaurant is a must! We dined for lunch - my husband enjoyed the cast iron burger topped with caramelized onions and prepared properly; I had the steak salad, also delicious. The wine list is extensive and well-priced - half bottles are particularly nice at lunchtime.
Our excellent waiter, Charles, saved the day. We were seated next to a table for 10. We asked to be moved & he found us a quiet table in another room. We were celebrating our anniversary and he surprised us with a delicious dessert. The food was very good and he was very attentive. Made for an enjoyable evening.
We were quite early for our reservation but they were able to seat us right away. The mimosas and appetizer madelines were good, but it was literally 60 minutes from the time we were sat and the time the food arrived. The hollandaise on the Eggs Benedicts was foamy, the potatoes barely cooked, and everything had condensation bubbles on it. The meal was awful and we didn't eat it. The worst part was that several tables were served their food right after ours and everything looked fine. The manager was apologetic but we left hungry and disappointed. Fortunately, there is a lovely brunch at Vintage, just a short walk away.
I was a little dissapointed for it having close to 5 stars. The BBQ oysters were good, so was the lamp app, but nothing amazinfg. My salmon was cooked more than medium and the Brussels sprouts were very tough. Service was nice but almost too fast. For ordering 2 apps, 2 entrees and one desert we were done within an hour. The creme brûlée tasted way too much like alcohol. They do flame it, however the after taste is not pleasant.
My friend and I had high hopes for La Tour since we'd both identified it independently as one of our 'must eat there' options in Vail. While there were some good things about our evening at La Tour, I'm sorry to say that we were both disappointed in the restaurant.
We started our evening with cocktails, and they were creative and tasty. They weren't cheap, but it's Vail, so we weren't expecting them to be. We tried the Porch Pounder and the Remedy, and both were yummy. The waiter and sommelier recommended a bottle of wine that we enjoyed with our dinner, so on the libations front, La Tour didn't disappoint.
When we moved to food, La Tour mostly let us down. I say 'mostly' because I'll start by saying that the Lobster Toast was so wonderful that I dreamed about having more of it later that night. I'm not kidding, I had a dream about it. Fresh lobster wrapped in avocado was tasty, and the portion was generous enough for two of us to enjoy it as our appetizer. If we'd stopped at cocktails and our app, I'd be writing a different review and rating this restaurant differently. Unfortunately, we also ordered entrees. I opted for salmon, and my companion had the venison medallions. We found both to be unimpressive, bland (and I tend to find most things spicy), and uninspired. I kept searching for interesting flavor or something noteworthy in my salmon, and I never found it. My friend had almost the same review of his venison. The dishes had little flavor, and the side items suffered from the same problem. Nothing was bad - it was all edible - but I left wishing I hadn't wasted the money, time, and calories to eat it.
We spent 4 days in the Vail/Beaver Creek area, and La Tour was the only restaurant we found disappointing and said we had no desire to revisit.
