Such a great Sunday Brunch experience. Food was excellent. We enjoyed the live music. Can't wait to go bacck.
Overpriced for what it is. Over salted to make up for poor ingredients and unsophisticated flavor. Desert chocolates had mold in the middle and were sent back.
Manager turned on portable heater right at our table ( to accommodate other tabke guess?) without asking us.
It was 75 degrees out!
Fabulous meal. The best we’ve had while visiting Colorado
As always, outstanding service, wonderful food, and an elegant atmosphere
Service was slow and inconsistent. Food was good, just not blown away as the waygu beef I ordered rare+ showed up near medium. Salmon was very good.
Solid restaurant just not as good as the ratings show, at least for our visit.
We love coming here. Started off with escargot, sauce was garlicky and delicious. Then we had French onion soup. They do a riff on this classic adding in chunks of tender beef. My entree was the skirt steak with mashed potatoes. Steak could have been cooked more, said medium. But it was more rare.
We are on the patio. Service was great and food even better. There was a local musician and we had a relaxing dinner. Can’t wait to go again
What a beautiful menu you have created offering many delicious options. I look forward to trying the summer 3 course next week. It's always wonderful to come back to Vail to visit - and especially to dine at La Tour; a consistently excellent experience.
Outstanding food. Lobster bisque wow. As was Duck As was creme burlee
Great meal as always
The service and food was a wonderful dining experience. The sommelier was charismatic and knowledgeable. Thank you! The Sherman familia!
Our La Tour dinner was outstanding from start to finish! Caroline, the Sommelier, did double duty at the host stand, welcomed us with a smile and started our evening with the best first impression. Maxwell, our Server, guided us to excellent menu choices and was very attentive throughout the wonderful meal. We started with the best Foie Gras we have ever had! Very flavorful combination of seasonings, tomato and onion. The chef dressed the Artisan Greens & Panko Crusted Goat Cheese Salad with a perfectly paired mustard vinaigrette. Not too spicy...delicious! For our main course, the Prime Manhattan Steak with Trumpet Mushrooms was exquisite down to the loaded scalloped potatoes and Madeira Sauce. Caroline offered the perfect bottle of Bourgogne Rouge to pair with the meal which we enjoyed very much. We appreciated the opportunity to share the meal between the two of us without a surcharge, a refreshing change as other Vail restaurants charge up to $10 to share a meal. The atmosphere was warm and romantic. We dined at five of the best restaurants in Vail. La Tour is the best, hands down! We will be back!
When in Vail we always make sure we dine at La Tour
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. The service was excellent without being overbearing. The atmosphere was perfect on a nice spring evening with the dining area fully open to the patio and with a band playing just outside at a very comfortable background level where you could easily hold a conversation with having to raise your voice. The food was great as always with a nice price-fix menu option that was interesting and delicious.
La comida es buenísima y la carta de vinos de primera
Food is hard to beat, whether you are a foodie or not. Multiple levels of flavors in all of the dishes. We got the salmon and a special 3 course meal with soft shell crab and asparagus salad. Everything was delicious.
We had a wonderful time at La Tour. The service was great, our server was an amazing young man who did an excellent job, even after we accidentally spilled oil from the oil lamp. Our meal was delicious and well-prepared. Every single item we ordered was good. Anne Amie white wine from Willamette Valley in Oregon, Strawberry Lemonade, Fresh Baked La Brea Bread, Maine Lobster Bisque, Rainbow Trout Meunière, Haricots Verts Provençal, and the ridiculously scrumptious Warm Apple-Date Cake! I even purchased a bottle of their Riesling wine (2018 St. Urbans-Hof , Bockstein, Kabinett, Mosel, Germany). It was just what we needed after a long day of exploring new towns. Highly recommended!!!
Always a great experience and great food and amazing presentation!
The food and service were fantastic. We loved this dinner.
Wonderful birthday dinner in a special little hut! Great service, excellent food. Highly recommend
Food is occasionally OK - the foie gras was a slab of butter with some foie gras smell; the steak ordered as medium came in as well done and not too tasty. Very overpriced because of the location in Vail village.
We ate in the front area which is not as cozy "or formalist" as in the back. It felt a little like we were placed in an overflow area. Nevertheless, we continue to support La Tour and the overall experience was just fine.
Perfect for celebrating my Mother's Day with family! As always, the best restaurant to celebrate anything here in the Vail Valley. Lovely to be in a crystal castle. Bellini, French Onion Soup, Oysters and superb service. La Tour is an exceptional institution; still here 30+ years and still perfect in every way. Even the bathroom has fine amenities, a high-end candle and is superbly clean. Everything is 5+ Star at La Tour.
As always, La Tour is the finest restaurant in Vail. I always host my important business dinners and luminary friends at La Tour, addition of Crystal Cabins a lovely plus. Thank you.
This was not a fancy restaurant. It was overpriced, we had 3 different waiters. Our food sat under the hot plate for a very long time. We over cook, but had good favor. Wait staff was very trashy. Would not recommend, go to the other French restaurant in vail.
We love La Tour!! It's a favorite and we had such a great time!! Loved our waiter too!
I have lived in The Valley for almost 10 years and never dined here! Wow! This place is incredible. We came for my birthday and were treated like royalty by Caroline and Jeff! The food, the ambiance and the service were all EXCEPTIONAL. We will be back for sure!
Thank you for a nice night. The food was great and we enjoyed our evening there.
Fabulous server and meal. Been there before and it never fails to be excellent. Thanks.
Overall La Tour is awesome. Appetizers, Dover Sole, Desert were great. Duck Breast ok but not spectacular in taste or presentation.
Nice ambience and great service. Food was good but not excellent.
Excellent food & service. Always enjoyed your restaurant over the years.
We are longtime locals .
La Tour is a Vail classic. The food does not disappoint and it’s truly delicious. The main character for your visit will be the FOOD... it truly has the best dishes in Vail Village and they are well presented. Compared to other restaurants, the ambiance (light, decor, etc.) Is not the best... but I don’t think they are trying to be (if you want a perfectly ironed tablecloth go somewhere else)... if you want amazing food, go to La Tour! Jean-Michel (chef) is doing an amazing job. The only thing that could improve: service... it’s not terrible but it’s not great... but hey, the food will be delicious! I have visited this place for years as a kid and now as an adult... it’s Delicious!!!
Was delightful. Excellent oysters! Great wine selection
The duck on Brussel sprout leaves was beautifully presented and served medium rare. The escargot were delicately flavored, the sauce a bit creamy and not overwhelmed with garlic. I would have liked more tarragon but I will definitely have them again--a new favorite. Do not miss the lobster mashed potatoes, full of lobster and hard to describe. Do see for yourself. We finished with the chocolate mousse cake which was not at all cakelike but more of a chocolate bomb paired with the best pistachio ice cream I've ever had. The quality, variety, and price have made this my Vail go to.
Great food that was worth the money.
