Had a great birthday meal with my family who came in from out of town. All the pasta is handmade and the ingredients are all fresh. We were all full and very happy

The food here was good, but it wasn't anything that really impressed me to be honest. However, they were very busy when we dined so I may have caught them on an off-night or my personal tastes differ from what others would've considered to have been much better tasting. The flavors just sort of fell flat for me. The appetizers, however, were very tasty. It isn't hard to mess up bruschetta and mozzarella. The ambiance is a bit lacking, as it is really just one big square room, however that one room is relatively nice and comfortable. The service was beyond excellent! I cannot say enough how well the server was and how much personal attention the manager and chef gave to our table. One of the better dining experiences we've had in that aspect.

Excellent food and service. Also great wine recommendation by our server. We were greeted by the manager who showed us to our and briefed us politely and thoroughly about the offerings of the restaurant before handing us off to our server.

What makes a great dining experience? Great food and top notch service. Thanks to Allison, our server, for being attentive. The seafood linguine had perfectly cooked mussels, clams, shrimp and scallops. I have never had an a meal I didn't like.

We always enjoy the creative cuisine specials by the chef. The monkfish was delicious and so was the Lobster Bruschetta! Yum! We appreciated our server giving us a taste of a wine we were considering, which made our choice easier.

La Tavola was new to us and a delight -very good food in a relaxed atmosphere. We were 8 for a family birthday. Everyone who greeted / seated and served us was skilled and enjoyable - especially Maki. We saw lots of things we liked on the menu and enjoyed all that we ordered. We'll be back.

It has been quite a while since we had been to La Tavola. ALWAYS enjoyed the food, but the service was an issue... NOT SO this time. The food (and Carlo, the chef) were outstanding as in the past and the service from the manager (Dave) and our server Melina was warm, welcoming and attentive. We definitely will make this a "go to" spot for post matinee meals again... Happy to be going back there once more.

The ambiance here was interesting - it was very (almost strangely) quiet. Our waitress was fantastic and knew a lot about the menu and was willing to offer up her opinions. I thought the food was ok. Based on the ratings I had seen I had expected it to be a little better but it may have just been what I ordered because everyone I was with was impressed with their food. In the end, I'm not sure if we'd go here for another special occasion but maybe for a date night it would be good and that's exactly what I would recommend this for.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.! Our waitress, Geri, was great!..... friendly and efficient! When our waitress discovered my husband was looking for something not on the menu, she said she would talk to the chef and returned with a smile on her face. My husband enjoyed linguini with white clam sauce with many little neck clams on top.

Despite an acknowledged deficit of waitstaff, La Tavola kept us well served and glasses full. The food was Belissima! We really enjoyed the Pasta special of tortellini and the veal dishes were great. If we are back in Baltimore we will return.

It was a very enjoyable dinner in Little Italy for a group of five. The waiter was friendly and engaged enough to make it a personal event. The Fettuccine alla Romana was excellent because of the fresh pasta and light cream sauce. The group had a variety of deserts which were all excellent. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Will return to this restaurant during visits to the Inner Harbor.

La Tavola is located in the Little Italy section of Baltimore, and has a lot of competition. My wife and I read their positive reviews and decided to give it a try. The outside is unassuming, but inside is very nice. We felt welcome and comfortable as soon as we walked in. This is a classic Italian restaurant, with friendly staff, a warm atmosphere, and excellent food. No young clueless wait staff here. Our wait person, Linda, was both friendly and professional. We told her it was our first visit and she told us about the chef, the house made pasta, and the wonderful sauces. She and the rest of the service staff anticipated our every need. When I ordered the Linguine Alla Scoglio (linguini with scallops, shrimp, mussels, and clams) she recommended I opt for the white wine sauce over the red sauce, and it was perfect. My wife had Salmon, which she commented as the best she'd ever had. The house made pasta was marvelous. We thoroughly enjoyed both our meal and the experience. We'll definitely be back. I heard another table raving about the Lasagna, so that's next on my list. Recommend.

We had a lovely, delicious meal with our niece and nephew during our annual family weekend in Baltimore. Our waiter and staff were very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu except he kept forgetting who ordered what and bringing the food to the wrong person--every course! He was very gracious and apologetic and it didn't really take away from our wonderful dining experience.

I really don't know why this restaurant is so highly rated. We were largely disappointed in the food, wine, and service. The dining room is mostly undecorated, looks like a rental reception room more than a restaurant. Mediocre at best. There was nothing particularly wrong with our meal, but I've had better meals at Olive Garden

This place's strength is their staff and music. Both were perfect for an authentic Italian fare. The food and such were fine, but I thought somewhat unremarkable. The Maitre D and the waitress and even the water/bread guy were terrific. Liked it.

We made a last-minute reservation at La Tavola during a spontaneous trip to Inner Harbor. This restaurant is definitely right up there with some of the best Italian I've ever had (and I'm Italian)! The service was fantastic and the food was amazing. I highly recommend their homemade pasta. It's delicious! We tried the Lasagna and the Spaghetti Neri al Granchio... both incredible! I will definitely be returning to this place!

We waited an inordinate amount of time to get a drink before ordering. There was a mistake in submitting our dinner order and our appetizers weren't served for 45 minutes. Nothing was offered to mitigate, like a complimentary cocktail or glass of wine with dinner. We went for Baltimore Restaurant Week and the food was authentically Italian, but I'll choose another in Little Italy next time
