Went to see a show with family and wanted a nice dinner to finish a great day
This was our first time to this restaurant and was celebrating two birthdays which was stated to the restaurant multiple times. From reading the reviews we thought this place would be new and different. Unfortunately we we not feel the same after leaving there. Service was very slow. Entrees were fair to ok. Apps were ok and no acknowledgement of a birthday what so ever. We finally said something to the waiter after we got a bill for over $300 . He said he could make something happen if we wanted. Overall very disappointed and would not go back.
We went for an early pre-concert dinner on a Thursday evening at La Tavola after reading many great reviews. We were the only table seated for quite awhile, which was nice because we had the full attention of our waiter, Chris. He did a fantastic job telling us about the restaurant and how the chef prepares everything fresh. He proceeded to describe a few of their signature dishes, all of which sounded amazing. My husband settled on the black ink spaghetti with crab, which apparently won an award in 2017. He loved it! I opted for a linguine dish with seafood. They were very accommodating about switching the sauce and some of the seafood, and it was just amazing. The linguine was done perfectly and homemade, and the shrimp, scallops and clams were complemented beautifully by the white wine garlic sauce I requested. We topped it off with the dessert special of the day, an eclair for two stuffed with pistachio cream and drizzled with dreamy chocolate- absolutely sinful! Everything was served in perfect timing (they knew we had a show to catch), and everyone was very friendly. We would definitely recommend the restaurant and will be back!
Excellent food and service.
Great classic Italian dining experience. Service was exceptional, and when I mistakenly left my credit card by accident they immediately contacted me by cellphone so I was able to retrieve it without any problem.
Our food was absolutely delicious. I had pasta with various kinds of seafood - mussels, clams, scallops, and shrimp - all in a butter and wine sauce. It was marvelous. Generous amount too. We had a good salad first. Did not have room for what looked to be yummy desserts. The wait staff was helpful and attentive. We will definitely go back.
We had a wonderful evening at La Tavola- delicious food, warm service, and a perfect little Italy dining destination. Would absolutely return and recommend to anyone in search of the real deal in the neighborhood.
2nd visit. Everything is farm-to-table (no pun on “Tavola” intended). Best veal tenderloin ever. Can’t wait to go back to Charm City.
The food was excellent! We had to wait a few minutes pass our reservation time to be seated but the staff was very accommodating and on top of things. The food was outstanding, specially the lasagna! We’ll definitely go back next time we’re in Baltimore.
Family dinner during a visit to our grandson at Loyola
Service was excellent with information about the restaurant from the moment we sat down
Our server as Melissa an she was knowledgeable, fun and made our dining experience that much more enjoyable.
The food was also excellent
Best Italian restaurant in Little Italy!!! By far. incredible chef. Service personal and accurate.
The lasagna and the Rockfish en papillote were excellent and the service was even better. We'll be back for sure.
One of Baltimore’s treasures! Excellent, fresh food and friendly service every time.
It should be known that the chef comes from the veneto region of Italy.
This is rare to find and lets in quite well with all the seafood in Baltimore. It is located within walking distance to the inner Harbor.
The service staff and owner are extremely friendly.
Has a great diversity of options from appetizer to entrees, pasta and through dessert.
I would recommend this to anyone eating in this area and looking for a great combination of Italian seafood or pasta or meat dishes.
Just ok. Food lacked flavor.
Met friends at La Tavola for lunch...we all enjoyed our meals very much! I had the Quattro Stagione pizza...outstanding!!
Our go to spot in Charm City's Little Italy for creative, well-prepared authentic Italian cuisine.
Excellent food, service and drinks! My new Italisn go to location in Baltimore.
Our server Mackie was terrific and the staff all worked well together to make it a pleasant experience. Not only that, the food was delicious!
We go a few times each year. The combination of well prepared pasta and fish, very good service and a nice atmosphere keeps us coming back. Daily specials are indeed special and worth trying.
First time dining here and it did not disappoint. The squid ink pasta with lump crab was great - had a flavorful brininess that tasted like it just came out of the ocean. My husband ordered the penne putanesca and added chicken. Wonderful hospitality. Will definitely recommend to our Canadian friends when then come to Baltimore.
From the moment we entered- we were greeted in a professional and super friendly manner. Food is all made there, locally sourced. Morgan our waitress was great. We loved the food and will return.
Go. You’re welcome.
Food was delicious and service outstanding!
My husband and I had a wonderful evening. The food and service was exceptional. Our server Chris was very knowledgable and friendly. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends.
Quality handmade pasta led to happy diners in my family. Our particular server seemed a little off for the night but seemed like a generally attentive waitstaff from what I observed. Would definitely recommend to others.
Might have been the slowest service I’ve ever experienced. 15 minutes to take drink orders ashen we sat down and 20 minutes wait to get the check. My business partners were embarrassed and one even left to go stand outside. Thanks 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Excellent food brought us back again. Always some delicious seasonal choices to try to go along with the very good traditional fare. Service was a little slow this time but always pleasant. You should try this place!
Our server CHRIS was great. This was a special dinner with my 24 year old daughter. Chris had no problem with splitting our salad and entree choices
Convenient location, attentive and cordial waiter, and delicious dishes. All fresh and house made.
Outstanding service from Christian. Food was presented well and quite delicious. Enjoyed the wine flight as well.
We were looking for good authentic Italian food and found it at La Tavola! Excellent pasta and seafood dishes. Apps were delicious and good wine too. Unpretentious in a good way!
Amazing! Definitely a place to go back to!
We had a great experience. Family was visiting from out of town so we weren’t in a rush. The wait staff seemed to intuit we weren’t in a hurry. We ordered the chef 3 course special and were delighted. Each course was delicious. The flavors were subtle yet complimented each other well. The portions were just right - not too big or small. The half priced bottle of wine was a Tuesday special. The desert course - wow! Cannoli, cheesecake, golden berries and profiteroles. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Was in Baltimore for a Conference and was looking for a place in the Little Italy section to take a client. La Tavola was the choice and I was very happy with the selection.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and the service was outstanding.
Will certainly look forward to a return visit to La Tavola when I am next in the area
Everything was fantastic. Don’t miss their homemade deserts- especially the cheesecake
This was the 2nd time at La Tavola and I was disappointed overall. I think their pasta dishes are pretty good but felt that what we had was mediocre at best. They could start by having some decent bread. Something that is a must for every Italian restaurant.
Consistently great place. I took a dear friend of mine who is a picky eater and difficult to please. He ordered the lasagna and thought it wonderful.
