La Tavola Trattoria
La Tavola’s exposed brick, dark wood floors and rustic colors give the restaurant its authentic trattoria feel, while progressive touches hint at its innovative cuisine. And with indoor seating for 60 guests, a small bar and an outdoor covered patio for 40 or more, the space is just right for celebrating any occasion together.

The same company that owns Ecco - for an Italian upscale eatery, somehow they can’t cook pasta al dente which is disappointing. Service staff was Michael, and he was great. Probably won’t go back though …. Had really wanted to like the place
There was a sheet of ice in my tiramisu (which was clearly not made fresh, it was sitting in a cup in a fridge) and I had told the ice was part of the dish. The calamari appetizer was mediocre as well and had a slight burnt garlic taste. Note the calamari is grilled, not fried
Excellent as always. Amazing food and service. Only (small) issue is for second time, our seating request has not been honored. It's a small restaurant, so we book weeks in advance. (However, the option to sit on the patio turned out to be great!).
Great neighborhood restaurant!
Excellent food. Loved the quiet atmosphere and look of the restaurant. Friendly hostess and attentive server.
Delightful! Our server Brianna was terrific - bubbly, informative in describing all the dishes we asked about and making suggestions when we asked. We shared the roasted beet salad and an appetizer of the always wonderful mushroom tagliolini for starters and then the swordfish special. All were delicious, with unique flavors that you don’t find elsewhere, which is one of the things we love about La Tavola. In addition to our great server, two other staff stopped by the table to see how we enjoyed our dinner. Still our favorite place with consistently excellent food and service!
Great atmosphere and the patio was perfect! Mondays they have pasta specials that will wow you! Can’t wait to go back.
Food is always great.
Great staff. Great food. It was my wife and my 4th year anniversary and they took great care of us.
Our server, Michael, was absolutely wonderful, as were the other members of the waitstaff. The food was excellent from start to finish - we had the salumi board with cheese, app portion of tagliolini (mushroom), agnolotti (corn), roasted chicken (spice rub, mushrooms, sea island red peas) and olive oil cake with blueberry and blackberry compote. We will be back again and highly recommend our friends and family check it out.
We ate on the patio. The roasted beet salad was amazing. The squid ink pasta was outstanding. The fish soup was OK. Cocktails were fine. Wine was wonderful. I was a little hoarse on getting home, needing to speak loudly over the background noise. Overall, I’d recommend.
Enjoyed coming here with my fiancé. We came back the following week because we had a great experience
Great service even better food! My wife and I loved it!
It is impossible to have a bad meal here. Whether you are stopping by for brunch or dinner the food is always on par. Combine this with an incredible staff and you have a win-win in my book!
Amazing dinner on the patio. Highly reccommend noshing on multiple "appetizer portion" pasta dishes (Mushroom Ragu is AMAZING) and don't skip dessert.
Never had a bad experience here, food, service and location are always on point.
We had a reservation for 5:30 which is when the restaurant opens. We were seated on the back patio which was nice. Service was very good and not overly intrusive. We started with the salumi plate to share among the three of us. There were 3 slices of prosciutto, 3 slices of speck, and 3 slices of beef and a small mound of pickled peppers. You can add cheese for $2 and we did that. I would not order the salumi plate again. Two of us had the squid ink pasta and it was delicious and reasonably priced. The third had the spaghetti with veal meatballs and that was also very good and reasonably priced. We shared a couple of desserts which were both excellent. We shared a bottle of Barbera that was so-so but that wasn’t the restaurant’s fault; I’m the one who chose it. I would definitely recommend the place but I’ve had better charcuterie at other restaurants.
Great cocktails, nice wine list, Peroni on draft, covered al fresco dining on the back porch, fine Italian dining. What more can you ask for?
Consistently excellent. Never a disappointing dinner.
The food was pretty good. The seating is horrible. We were initially seated by the kitchen (a table for 4 people, when my reservation was for 2) and we asked to move to a booth (several were open) but were told they were reserved. Instead, they seated us at a very wobbly small table by the front door. The table wobbled every time I attempted to cut into my food. Meanwhile, many others came in and were seated in booths or better tables with no issue. Our server was very personable but forgot to give us silverware prior to our food arriving. Overall, it was just ok in lieu of these issues. For the money, I wouldn't return. You don't go to a higher-end restaurant and pay higher-end prices ($180 bill for 2) for wobbling small tables and average service. It's too bad because the food was the highlight of this place.
My daughter wanted to celebrate her 12th birthday at an Italian restaurant and I chose LaTravola. This was our first time and everything was amazing! The tagliolini was amazing as Jodie recommended and my daughter enjoyed her spaghetti and meatballs. We will definitely be back!
Celebrated my friend's engagement here and it was the perfect spot.
La Tavola never disappoints. Great food, ambiance and service! Oh, and always great wines available by the glass!
Good as always.
Amazing as always. We haven't been here since we moved away 2 years ago and have been missing it so we had to visit during a short trip in town.
La Tavola food and service did not disappoint. The tagliolini, agnolotti, and gnocchi alla romana were all amazing! We started with the roasted beets, then had a second course of appetizer portions of agnolotti and tagliolini followed by a third course of the gnocchi. We capped of dinner with the mint semifreddo...yummy! Our only disappointment was that they were out of calamari which regardless of season or preparation is always delicious.
La Tavola is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. I had dinner last evening for a birthday celebration. The food was excellent! My only disappointment was the Salumi Board, we added the cheese for $3 extra. We only received 3 small triangles slices of cheese. There was a nice selection of meats and pickled beets but only 3 small pieces of cheese was a disappointment since one of my guests was a vegeterian. I will definitely be back but will skip the Salumi Board.
This is one of our favorite restaurants, and it never disappoints. Our waiter Hank recommended a nice bottle of red wine. We had the roasted beet salad which was refreshing and very flavorful. My husband had the gnocchi with duck. Excellent!! I had Tagliolini also amazing! We travel over an hour one way to dine here because it is so good.
Another great meal at La Tavola!
10/10!!! This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while (I had the mushroom ragú with truffle oil and they kindly made it vegan for me). Ambience felt like I was in NYC. Highly recommend
The food is simply fantastic! Service and outstanding as usual.
Dinner was delicious. Loved the new agnolotti dish on the menu, and my husband enjoyed his spaghetti - as he always does!
Our server was wonderful, and even though we ended up being the last guests that evening, did not try to rush us at all. Lovely night!
Amazing food. Wonderful service.
The food was absolutely devine and the cocktail (which was described to us as an Italian Margarita) was such an exciting addition to the end of the meal. It is definitely a place to go for a special occassion or to spoil yourself every once in a while.
Service was fantastic. They made us feel special on our anniversary
It is always a pleasure to dine at La Tavola and our experience Friday evening was no exception. La Tavola has long been one of my top 5 restaurants in Atlanta. The service and food on this most recent visit were excellent with our server Briana being knowledgeable with a wine recommendation and keeping everything moving at the perfect pace.
The Zappa Di Pesce which is a favorite of mine over the years was not right. It was as if someone spilled an excess amount of pepper juice in the broth. I ate it (and it was a bit over the top) but not bad enough to send it back to the kitchen. However, the indigestion that I had last night was epic. This is the first bad meal I’ve every had at La Tavola. Please fix this problem.
Excellent service, delicious meal and perfect ambiance.
La Tavola was a great dining experience for my partner and I. We went for the Monday $10 pasta deal and were not disappointed!
The food was great and Hank provided excellent service as our waiter. We were pleasantly surprised at the Molta Monday specials - an incentive to get people to eat out on Mondays. The Rigatoni special was outstanding.
as always, La Tavola never disappoints.
still our favorite.
