Permanently Closed - La Tasca Newcastle, Quayside, is an authentic Spanish Tapas Bar and Restaurant, situated next to Malmaison Hotel and the Millennium Bridge, just 15 minutes' walk from Newcastle train station. We have a busy terrace, perfect to enjoy some sangría and tapas with friends, on those sunnier days.
Serving Tapas and other Spanish food along with a truly Spanish range of Wine, Sangrias and Beer plus our range of Speciality Cocktails, if you are looking for restaurants on the Quayside or places to eat, our restaurant is the ideal place to relax and unwind, after a long day.

La tasca was the choice of mine to take the two nearest relatives to me to celebrate my retirement. We received a good welcome, sat at a nice table and given lots of help in choosing from the menu. Overall an enjoyable meal at a good price in comfortable surroundings .

The restaurant was unbelievably noisy and it was difficult to hear yourself speak. We asked to move tables because of this but were told the problem was the same throughout. The Menu was a little uninteresting and there was no beef tapas other than burgers. Some of the food was very tasty, other dishes were nothing special.
