La Strada - Eldorado Resort Casino Ratings and Reviews
I thought the food was outstanding. However, I was disappointed that they did not offer gluten free pasta. Therefore I could not have any of the pasta dishes. Italian is my favorite food and I often go to Italian restaurants. Most really good Italian restaurants do offer gluten free pasta to their customers. I would have really enjoyed trying one of their pasta dishes.
The service and food at La Strada were phenomenal! The restaurant has a great ambiance and we truly enjoyed ourselves, definitely one of, if not the best meal we had in Reno during our stay. I would highly recommend this to anyone traveling to Reno and looking for a great Italian meal.
This place is great as usual! Our waiter, Christopher, was very knowledgeable and professional. The food was outstanding, and prepared exactly as ordered. Wine list is very complete, and desert offerings are extensive. The floor manager, Amanda, was attentive as was our hostess, Monica. Highly suggest any of the veal or seafood dishes.
Initial we were almost turned away yesterday the restaurant manager because we had one more person that our reservation, but the waiter and the hostess made it work. Our waiter was the most attentive & friendly waiters that we have had in a long time. Everyone knows a great waiter along with great food makes the experience!
Food is well prepared, perhaps slightly heavier than dishes served in Italy. We had calamari (oversized serving, a bit greasy), prosciutto and melon gelee (Very good, modern Italian take on a classic starter), veal Marsala, and veal Piccata (both excellent quality, but over-sauced). Perhaps the portion sizes and amount of sauce suit American tastes, so I don't count them against the restaurant.
Service is superb, our waiter (Neria) truly enhanced our dining experience. She's noteworthy.
I took a point of
I ordered the fettuccini Alfredo. The waiter asked if I would like shrimp or chicken with it. I requested shrimp. Apparently, all they had was frozen or canned shrimp that they just through in with the Alfredo sauce including the water or ice making the Alfredo sauce like soup. When I complained they did not charge me. Not acceptable for supposedly one of the best restaurants in Reno.
The service was outstanding. Even after we left, I realized that I forgot to use my 50% off coupon from my show ticket stub, and they honored it for me. The food however, was disappointing. My Caesar salad was decent, not mind blowing. I ordered the chicken Parmesan, and the chicken was also decent. But it came with polenta that was very bland. Was hoping for pasta, like most chicken parm comes with. My mom ordered chicken fettuccini, and it had almost no flavor. The sauce was thin and tasted like nothing. The chicken appeared to be and tasted like it was cooked with no seasoning. Very, very bland. The food was definitley not worth the price and I wouldn't rush back there.
Chris was an excellent waiter. Very attentive and quick to refresh our silverware after each course.
The kitchen forgot to put dressing on our Caesar salads, not a big deal but a hiccup.
Prawns wrapped in prosciutto were good. The carbonara was ridiculously good'
Missed seeing the owner/manager this time. He always changes the dynamic and atmosphere to a very warm and positive experience.
The service was amazing. We had a group of 6 and had a great table so we could talk. My husband is Italian and was disappointed in he's dinner. I had the rissoto with shrimp and asparagus. It's was good but was very salty. The seafood linguine was very good, the veal was very good and the steak was good. My friend had rissoto with scallops and it was good but rissoto was salty. The desserts were excellent. We were not rushed and our waitress kept our drinks filled and the garlic bread basket filled. The garlic bread was very good. I would go back again but would order something different.
This is my 3rd time here and the last time. Was there on Saturday evening at 6:30. Party of 2. Service: New food server, she was super sweet but didn't know how to open a bottle of wine. She said it was her 2nd night there. If it was her 2nd night there, why wasn't she shadowed by a manager. Polenta on both dishes really tasted like dirty hockey pucks. The proteins we both ordered were good and very hot. The veggies were horrible. Quality has gone down here.
