LaStrada continues to be the best restaurant in Reno. The food ,Service, overall nice employees just make it a pleasure to dine there. Thank you two lovely evenings
We had the “try me”. It was incredible. Best we ever had
Went for a birthday. The appetizers were good but the main dishes were all under seasoned and super bland. It was very pricy which would have been okay if the food was great but I've had better food for a lot less elsewhere. Very disappointed.
Ask for Christopher, he has been there since 1984 and he is the best server! We love the food and the chef always prepares gluten-free for me. We love the chef’s tasting dinner! It’s always different, always delicious and worth every penny!
My fiancé and I dined late in the evening on New Year’s Day. That being said, maybe the kitchen staff was exhausted and the pasta had been sitting, but the entrees (both of which came recommended by staff) were NOT up to par considering the price and reputation of this restaurant. The portion of seafood linguini was giant but the “white wine sauce” was basically a bowl full of water and only a couple of the clams were actually open. My fiancé’s duck rigatoni was a worse disaster- mine was edible with salt and Parmesan- but his pasta was starchy and gummy like it had been cooked in too little water and left to sit. Duck was over cooked and stringy. Sauce was equal parts odd and flavorless.
That being said, the service was wonderful. Our waiter was charming, knowledgeable, professional, and attentive. To be fair, he repeatedly asked if we were enjoying the food. We lied, as they were already closed, and we had him box the food hoping we’d be tipsy and hungry enough later to eat it (we weren’t). We did love the little olive and cheese board appetizer and the assortment of garlic bread and plain baguettes that came before the meal. If I return, I would go for the romantic atmosphere, professional staff, wine selection, bread, appetizers, a dessert and coffee, but skip the entrees.
Excellent food and service was great. We will be dining again there very soon. Best Italian food in Reno
As usual the food was great and our waitress was fabulous. Looking forward to our return trip.
Only issue was they didn't have the first 2 bottles of wine we ordered and then they had to run to the other restaurant "roxy" to get our third bottle we ordered that they did not have. So we got our bottle of wine as we got our meal, would have preferred it a bit sooner
When we are in Reno-sometimes monthly, we always make a reservation at La Strada
the best restaurant in all of the casinos
The mushroom ravoli--their specialty for years is still the greatest..
Add a glass of white wine, their bread...and we are in "heaven"
Will continue to come back to La Strada--and will recommend to all..
I wish the hotel was up to the same standards...sadly it is not....
Great food and service and the maitre'd Michael was a treat.
