Luigi our server was incredible!
The service was amazing. However, the portions were very small and some food came out cold. For an Italian restaurant you would think bread, olive oil, and Parmesan is standard. We had to ask for bread twice. Overall they could do a better job.
Great food and cozy environment
The service was a nightmare. 2 hours for our entrees. Had to send mine back.
Ended up drinking too much because the food never came. Huge bill.
Server didn’t pay much attention or tried to recommend anything on the menu we felt ignored
Had a lovely dinner sitting on the patio out back. The outside temperature was in the 40s, but they placed heat lamps around us so it was nice and toasty. This is a charming neighborhood place, sure to be a regular go-to.
Amazing food and atmosphere! Will be back many times
Great service! There was an error on the bill then went unnoticed and the waitress very kindly brought it up and offered to make up for it. Really appreciated her honesty and great service. Food was amazing to make it even better!
Very romantic and small restaurant with very yummy traditional Italian food.
I made a reservation about a week in advance for Saturday night dinner. We arrived and saw the dining area that was described in all reviews of the restaurant as ambient, cozy, really nice. Despite that, we were led upstairs to a horrid atmosphere. No music, bright lights, broken drapes on the windows. There was just one other group seated upstairs, and this group was extremely loud, cussing and yelling the whole time. The hostess appeared upstairs at one point, and I asked for them to at least turn on music, and they turned on a random playlist that kept tuning in and out. It was a terrible experience and we will absolutely never return.
Great place! We celebrated my daughter’s 16th bday there, and they were very open about doing special arrangements, staff super friendly, and the food was amazing! So glad we chose this place!
The service was awful. I took my boyfriend here for his birthday, and the server only came around twice within an hour and a half. We had to flag the server down just to order another drink. Also, our food did not come out for an hour and 45 minutes. Other individuals who sat down after us (that had different servers) received their food prior to us. The food itself was delicious but the lack of attentiveness from our server ruined the night. We noticed another table that was being served by this individual, and they were visibly frustrated as well. I think the restaurant has great vibes inside, but they need to rethink who they choose as servers. The amount of money spent here was not worth my experience.
Amazing food and place, we enjoyed every second
The building is amazing the food exquisite the staff phenomenal!!!!
Nice ambience and good service. Enjoyed our time there.
La Storia is a quaint Italian restaurant in Chicago's Gold Coast area just off the "Viagra Triangle." The food and staff are always excellent. There is outdoor seating when the weather is good. The atmosphere is very nice. There is also a nice bar area for after dinner drinks with a fireplace and a friendly bar tender.
Nice outdoors space in the back! Great food!
Excellent food and service. Very authentic Italian. Social distancing and masks. We will return. Thanks
We split meatballs in a delicate tomato sauce. Tablemate had the pasta with sausage and tomato based sauce. I had the pork shoulder but switched out braised Brussel sprouts for the potatoes and it was a delicious combination with the sliced almonds and delicate white sauce. The olive cake with berries and gelato trio were a great treat at the end.
Our server, Consuela was wonderful! She was attentive without being bothersome. All of our food was great. We will definitely be back!
Enjoyed dinner, service amazing. Sammy was incredible and made sure my party was excellent!! Will come again on my visits to Chicago
The appetizer (tuna) and salad (beet) were terrific. The pasta (wild boar) was just average: interestingly, not enough pasta in the dish.
We loved the atmosphere, working fireplace, red furniture and cool mural of famous Chicagoans. The charcuterie board was excellent and flavorful. Main dishes didn't quite live up to the vibe, but it was ok. Just ok. Next time I'd go in lighter... maybe just bread, salad and apps. And drink more.
Walking into La Storia you feel as if you’ve been transported to Italy. The ambiance is romantic and energetic at the same time. Order the tagliolini neri frutti di mare (squid ink dish). You will not be disappointed.
The service here is incredible, im so glad that they are open after this long season, the riceballs are on point. For sure making this my Friday night spot next to the bar next to the fireplace. ❤
This is a really authentic Italian restaurant!just if you try the handcrafted paste you can feel the quality , beautiful and nice service and also the atmosphere of the restaurant it’s really cute! Ci vediamo presto La Storia!
Under impressed... The service was really slow, took a long time to be greeted after seating and place our drink orders. The food was average in flavor and way over priced for the serving sizes.
Very good meal, the ravioli were outstanding. I am italian from italy and found it very authentic. Will return!
Went for valentines, service was not up to par, my wife's water wasn't filled the whole evening, its all she had to drink, and I had a Coke, nobody offered to refill either, probably a good idea as im chubby. It felt as if our server had forgotten about us after he recieved a table of four. Food was okay, pesto gnocchi tasted like green and raw garlic, they were Italian style, but shaped as Parisienne. The frutti di mare, was tasty, but the squid ink linguini maybe was the wrong choice of pasta in a dim lit restaurant, it looked like a pile of overcooked spinach.
La Storia is not currently open due to the pandemic and it should not be available to book reservations on Open Table at the moment.
Reservation accepted. Restaurant was closed. Very irritating and rude.
Chris server made our visit very enjoyable. We would come back just to be with him! The sausage pasta rocks!!!! Lasagna was good, had better before but food is of high quality! We will return! Love the outdoor backyard patio!!!!
Absolutely delightful. Great outdoor ambience. Attentive and friendly service. Delicious food that is expertly presented.
Beautiful restaurant, very intimate, wonderful service, delicious and unique menu of food.
I definitely recommend eating at La Storia. The host was very gracious as soon as I walked in. He helped me find the perfect place to sit while I waited for the rest of my party to show up. The ambiance of the outdoor dining area was great. The lighting was great, and the noise level was very quiet. The drinks are very good & strong and worth the price. I had the veal & pork meatballs as an appetizer, and they were AMAZING! I had the ravioli de ricotta as my main course, and it was delicious. The portions were just the right amount. I will definitely go back to dine here in the near future.
Sadly very underwhelmed. The food was just ok, the waitress didn’t seem to know the menu and it took forever to pay the bill
Delicious food and such a beautiful service also the restaurant is unique! One of my favorite pasta in Chicago
Great service and fantastic cocktails. The dirty martini with Gorgonzola stuffed olives tasted fresh and had a great bite from the cheese. Highly recommend the burrata as it was soft and creamy. Pasta with bolognese tasted homemade and with big clumps of meat
