All amazing except for the darn hammering on the stairs!!
Table inside better!!! And that’s more than doable !
Excellent food along with superb service made this a wonderful lunch. The decor is quite charming. On most summer/spring days the patio would be wonderful. At the moment there are some repairs being completed below that generate a lot of noise, but they will done soon.
The wine list is a typical Toronto wine list (overpriced), but there are some wonderful and interesting wines.
La Societe is on my list for a return visit.
The Niçoise salad was terrible! Drowned in dressing, no potatoes, beans (few) cut in one inch pieces, tomatoes (???), two tiny slices of olives, 3 shaved thin squares of tuna (at first I thought they were thin slices of beets! Not even close to being a Nicoise and I this is supposed to be a French restaurant!! VERY DISAPPOINTING!
Went for Father’s Day
It was Father’s day and we took our kids with us (8 and 5 yrs old). Our server was super friendly and considerate. He also recommended what will be suitable for us. Food was yummy and the atmosphere was very nice. We had a great time and enjoyed the meal a lot.
Lovely meal! We will definitely return. The service was friendly and attentive without being annoying and the food was delicious.
Really nice atmosphere. The food was very good. A very nice restaurant to have a relaxing brunch with friends or family.
They need to go back to their old recipes. The French onion soup has to much tomato sauce and the mussels are better in the white wine recipe.
The food was amazing. It feels like being in a French cafe. The service was slow.
Fabulous Sunday brunch with impeccable service as always.
I've been to La Societe a few times for weekend brunches and dinners and each experience has been excellent! Brunch is delicious and they serve up one of the best almond milk lattes I've ever had. In regards to dinner; they have oysters for a dollar per on thursdays that never disappoint. Lastly, drinks, BEST VODKA MARTINI IN THE GTA. I would highly recommend La Societe to anybody.
We went for Sunday Brunch. Even tho it was cool we opted to enjoy their patio which had heat lamps which we really didn't need.
I had the Eggs Florentine and my guest had smoked salmon with her eggs. We also requested fries with this - which are the best here.
I like the restaurant and food very much and come her often.
Americano coffee was very bad. Food took very long. Potatoes in brunch menu we not to par.
Societe, like all of the properties belonging to the same people, is fabulous. Mr. Khaboud always delivers the best menus in the most beautiful settings. For a neighborhood that's ever-changing, Societe is a wonderful and consistent pillar. Carry on being fabulous!
A wonderful meal, great service and enjoyed by all!
There were 7 of us. We all enjoyed our food , but found the restaurant very noisy. The service was very lacking. Perhaps short of staff? We had to wait a while before placing our order. Had to ask if there was any wine left in bottle. Just not attentive.
very happy with the oysters and the service. Music a bit too loud outside on the patio.
I have enjoyed previous visits to this restaurant but service was a problem this time.
It wasn't terribly busy. Not sure what the problem was.
The omelette was only so so—a bit under cooked with runny cheese. Our bread basket contained 4 small pieces. Our lunch for two cost about $60 which was way too expensive. And the service was mediocre at best. We waited and waited and waited for everything.
French cuisine with a flare is compounded by great service and a wonderful, beautiful atmosphere. Authentic and amazing.
La Société is a nice French bistro. The atmosphere is very authentic, and the service is great. Food (brunch) was good and tasty. Not the best Croque Madame I have ever tasted, but a good one.
Missing: changing tables in the washrooms - nowhere in the building were we able to find one. Disappointing for a restaurant of that size.
Great food and service as always! Will definitely be back!
Lovely Brunch menu on the weekends with a second floor patio overlooking Bloor. Great choice for dinner too.
The patio is very nice, but the menu is overpriced. It is not a good value for the money for what you are getting. 6oz glass of wine is $18. Small salad $17. Duck confit is also small and it is $34. Spent $105 for almost nothing.
Went for our one year wedding anniversary - had an excellent time from start to finish. Food was outstanding, everything we ordered was flavourful, fresh and delicious! Service was impeccable with knowledgeable, friendly and attentive staff. Felt very special for our very special night!
Fui en sábado y oh sorpresa solo sirven menú de brunch, pero muy bueno. Los platos no son generosos en sus porciones, pedimos una Tarta train y en realidad no era statin era un hojaldre con manzanas muy delgadas encima.
Great French food in a casual cool atmosphere
Great place but empty on a Thursday night.
We were disturbed by the party noise from the bar and a private party. Can you put up partitions to cut off the bar from the Dining area to reduce the noise intensity?
Also my Wild Mushroom dish was mainly noodles and very few mushrooms. I was at a well known restaurant recently where the cost for the same dish was comparable however there were many more mushrooms presented.
Special reunion with old friends. The turkey and lobster sandwiches were superb. Service was attentive but not intrusive. We stayed for ages talking and didn’t feel pressured to go. Decor very French and reminded us of being in Paris.
Mother's Day celebration - Restaurant was too busy, so was our server. It took a long time before we could place our order, after asking another staff if we could please put in our order as we have a small child.
When we needed our waiter he was busy with other tables. When he did come around to say hi we don't need him (just got our food served so we haven't had a bit yet.
Mother’s Day dinner
I love this restaurant but unfortunately my recent brunch experience was subpar. The food was fair, the value subpar and my meal wasn’t hot. Paying $30 for lobster eggs Benedict should include actual chunks of lobster and be served hot. I’ll go back, but was disappointed this time.
The maître d was rude and highly unprofessional in addressing our concern over being placed at the worst table in the restaurant. Our party had reservations well in advance for our daughter’s 16th birthday. Very disappointing.
The food was over cooked and the coffee was cold.
I do not recommend.
Poor seating provided, moved to a slightly better table but still unacceptable overall.
Looked like a makeshift table for Mother's Day.
Good offering of food, reasonable service.
We made a reservation at least a month in advance for mothers day and when we got there early they asked us to sit at the bar and wait for our reservation time to come. They then forgot about us and didn't seat us until we went up and asked to be seated after about 20 minutes of waiting. They sat us down in a dark corner by the bathrooms (clearly forgot to seat us). We asked to be somewhere else, as everyone else had been seated by the windows in the beautiful dinning room. We had to sit outside when it was only 10 degrees outside in the corner of the balcony alone with a stack of chairs. Very disappointed.
Mother’s Day brunch! Was very happy with our service and food.
Our bartender and server delivered to best service. The food and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Amazing food and service!
