Food was ok, service wasn’t special. I’ve had better experiences here.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner with my friend. Kalen (spelling?) Was a fantastic server and made our night special. Food was to die for. Will definitely be back
This is a very expensive restaurant for us. We book only for special occasions.
Beautiful view of the city.
We ordered the Romance Dinner for 2 menu:
- Appetizer: the charcuterie board, while tasty, was a little large considering the courses to follow.
- Entree: was perfectly cooked and the perfect size.
- Dessert: the chocolate mango dessert was the most disappointing; the flavours didn’t match up to the description.
The menu was well thought out, but they had difficulties accommodating someone who didn’t drink alcohol - the menu included several cocktail/wine and after dinner coffee courses.
I loved the relaxed atmosphere and quiet time enjoying good food and terrific winter view. Lamb and steak were done perfectly. We did not feel rushed and had been advised prior to the time allotted. The meal was not rushed.
One of the best experiences this year.
I made reservations for 8;00PM Thursday December 27, as this was the earliest that was available. We arrived at the restaurant before 8;00PM, but weren't seated until 8:20PM. I thought the purpose of reservations was to seated on time. Also, the revolving mechanics of the restaurant were not working properly, it was off and on during our meal. The purpose of our dinner was for the change of view, we thought if the offer of a desert/drink was comped it would have shown a little compassion.
A favourite place to go to for my birthday supper.
Still one of the best places to take special friends
I booked this meal for my wifes 60th birthday with our adult children. I was EXTREMELY disappointed that NOWHERE was there any reference to the fact that we could NOT eat off the menu that was linked in the emails that you sent. My wife and I WERE going to have the chateaubriand, but instead had to settle for the buffet.
I found the placement of the food in the lobby was very claustrophobic. The lines were all over the place and the whole experience getting food was a bit of an issue in my opinion. People were quite pushy- not that that is the fault of restaurant. But I almost wore the lady behind me’s plate and she kept pushing me towards the omelet table.
The food was fantastic, the service was excellent, and it was worth the price.
Food was good but spending over $40 for a very thin piece of prime rib not happy I didnt complain. Im not returning
Dined here two years ago and everything was excellent. Steaks were thick and probably the best I’ve had. This time the steaks looked like they put them through the pasta machine. Very disappointing. Service was good. View is exceptional.
We had my wife's birthday dinner at La Ronde and it was phenomenal. The staff was courteous and the food was excellent. Great ambiance and city views like non other
As always La Ronde Restaurant has exceptional menus and exceptional food. The many friendly staff are a definite positive contribution to the restaurant. The view of Edmonton from the restaurant is amazing, and no other restaurant in Edmonton has this feature to offer to their diners.
Thanks very much.
We have been here many times and have never had a bad experience. Love the food and the views
Great atmosphere, delicious food, superb service! Always love going there for special occasions.
Excellent dining experience; food, service and ambience were all superb
Very good food but very expensive. View of course fantastic. Tieless Tuesday always worth going for live music. Very romantic. Service was not very good as I believe she was overwhelmed ( there was a very large table and than another one came in) . When she was at table very pleasant and knowledgeable. I would go more often but it is just so crazy expensive. The deals are great ( half price wine etc) so have to go on those days. Love that parking is free on Tuesdays very good.
Overall had a great experience, good job guys for making my day special thank you
We had an awesome experience. Leila greeted us with a pleasing smile. We enjoy our food so much especially me coz nothing left on my plate. We all had the classic dinner (table d’ hoté). I had escargot for appy and ‘twas soo good, my main dish which is the striploin was superb and of course the desserts are super good. And our server Dean was the best, very knowledgeable, friendly and very thoughtful. I will definitely come back to try more of their dishes.
Wonderful place for our anniversary dinner, kids and all!
The amazing view, the service, and the Chateau Briand make this my romantic dining experience of choice in Edmonton.
This was my second visit to La Ronde. The first was unremarkable; the second was terrible. I won't be returning. The food was of very poor quality and made both my husband and me sick. We were the only table in our server's section, but he was inattentive. Overall, this experience was disappointing.
The view, of course, is great and the main attraction that people eat here. The food is okay. My family come here every 2-3 months, though fresh, the menu is identical, they do even try to add/change a couple dishes to fit the season. The service, however, leaves room for improvement. The front desk folks, including the manager need basic hospitality training (from the arrival greeting to the hallway hello). The funny thing is, they are not caucasian just like my family. The servers at the table are good for obvious reason.
Colin, our server, made it a lovely evening. His extra touches and good humor were appreciated by us both very much. Our dinner was delicious although a bit pricey compared to other fine dining in Edmonton. But then there's the view,,,,,
awesome food and service - highly recommend for those special occasions.
Food is not great at all for that price, serves was really good though.
Im sorry I wanted to be impressed but what a let down .175$ for 2 thin steaks that looked like an amateur prepared . the caesar salad was beyond bland an this was supposed to be special for my boyfriends birthday . The waiter was so loud an such a know all ,we couldn't even stay one more minute for desert. Our go to place is Ruth Chris an I will never stray away from them again. definitely not romantic either
Details were overlooked.
Lipstick on our waterglass
Shrimp on the buffet was not cold..it was warm
Seated at a table that had not been properly prepared....old filled water glasses.
Server was excellent and attentive to our needs!
Went for brunch. Food (especially the cold seafood /salad bar and service was superb.
Food variety was excellent, Server was friendly and attentive. Not rushed in any way.
Fantastic food, great view of the city lights at night. Unique experience and servers are spectacular!
Great dining experience. We were celebrating mine and my Grandsons birthdays. They new this ahead of time. I taught it would have been nice to have been offered something special.
It was a very awesome evening me and my friend wanted to sit by side by side and everything was accomplished have our own table in privacy
Two couples each shared the Chateaubriand, which was outstanding! I love the view from this revolving restaurant, but come for the food as well. It was exceptiona.
Amazing brunch buffet with an excellent selection that will satisfy everyone’s cravings. Prime rib was delicious and omelette station was nice! Love that juice, coffee, and tea are included. Spectacular views of Edmonton from the rooftop revolving restaurant. Great for children (no charge for 4 and under!)
My soup was delicous, but the mashed potatoes were not good (they put horseradish in them - why mess with something classically delicious?). There was not a good variety of dessert options. Everything had fruit and was way too over-the-top and not very tasty. Apparently they had just changed the dessert menu a week prior.. Service however was great.
