Food is always great
I requested a candle in our desert to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I notified the owner that I included the request in my open table reservation. They brought out the desert without a candle. When I reminded them, the waiter brought out a cup of whipped cream with a candle in it. Not acceptable. They weren’t busy
A wonderful choice for a Sunday, or Saturday for that matter, brunch. Very charming atmosphere, comfortable not overcrowded seating, great service, and the food was very tasty. Certainly worth a try.
Not as good as usual. Service seemed rushed and distracted even though we were seated at 8:15pm. The steak frites was subpar. The steak was stringy and tough even though I ordered it medium rare. Not a good cut of steak. Will have to think twice before ordering it again.
We have been here many times. This restaurant is always consistent. It is obvious that the ingredients are always fresh and the food is always delicious. Good sized portions, varied menu and does not break the bank.
After dining there many many times the service was worse than awful. Ordered one app and two dinners. Asked few times about app and was told busy kitchen. Sorry. People who sat after we ordered got app (same as we ordered) before us. They decided to finally bring our app and dinner all together. Not good and there isn’t even enough room on table to fit all the dishes. I blame the server since others seemed to fair better. The manager couldn’t care less and just said again busy kitchen. Poor management. Time to fine a more professional knowledgeable person. Miss Ennio he was the best
Mussels Monday!!! We have been twice now and it was great both times. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu. We will be back!
food was good but a little pricey not worth driving 40 minutes
A most enjoyable and delicious meal. Excellent brunch menu.
This was my first time at this restaurant. Excellent food, service and ambience...simply lovely.
Food was great, staff friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Very French atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone who would like to have a French experience and very good food and wine.
Good food, good service. However poor wine selection
Great for every day super
go for the mussels...stay for the mussels. they have a special on monday nights which has great appeal. hope they keep it at $25 for large portion plus frites and a glass of beer or wine. the manager, farik, is very helpful too.
Having been to France several times and fallen in love with the food there, I find it so difficult to dine in an American restaurant that holds the same stylish French ambiance and a similar divinity with respect to taste, all for the kind of reasonable price one finds in the Latin Quarter on the Left Bank .
Well I am happy to say that I have found an establishment that truly made me feel like I am dining just off the boulevard Saint-Germain, and its found in Port Washington in a place called La P'tite Framboise. With tables placed close together to create the French Bistro atmosphere, and greeted by authentic French baguettes, you have a clue that you are in for a special treat from the moment you enter this cute restaurant. The menu is broad but not exhaustive, featuring the classic French street fare that one expects from the authentic Parisian bistros. I had a delicious trout almondine in a sauce that still makes my mouth water, it was that good. Across from me a fellow feasted on an oversized but thinly cut tender pork chop baked in panko breadcrumbs, to my rear I could smell the delight of escargot bathing in a magnificent lemon butter garlic sauce.
It was a rainy evening, with little visibility to see the cars passing by on the street outside the restaurant's glass door front. Only the streaks of neon lights on the adjacent storefronts passed through the raindrops, which made for a sort of abstract setting that allowed my mind if only for a moment to feel that I was back in Paris. Especially with every bite of a most wonderful French cuisine...in Long Island of all places !
Excellent food! Everything tasted freshly prepared.
Must Try Mussels spagnole! 👌
Food is delicious! Went there three times in three months and its been good every time.
Food and services both good, really worth more visits
This was our second time to La Petit Framboise and we were equally impressed with the overall experience this time as my wife and I were the first time. Everything was super delicious....the clams provencale were over the top....The sauce was so good I think they give you so much so you can have it like soup as the bread takes a little while to get because they warm the bread....Go you won't be disappointed.
Excellent meal during LI Restaurant week! Food was delicious and our server was most attentive.
Great food... The fillet of sole was delicious I will definitely be back
Pleasantly surprised! Great service excellent food will definitely return!
I love this restaurant and its sister one, Cassis, in Huntington. We have gone many times and its a reliable selection with a regular, predictable menu. Everyone enjoyed their food (the caesar salad was particularly crisp, fresh and tasty. My one complaint for the evening was the trout almondine had lots of trout but hardly any almonds. I asked for more and they promptly gave them to me. But, really, I should not have had to ask for this. Otherwise, I highly recommend the place.
Lovely French European restaurant. Very intimate and cozy. Food and service was excellent. Will be back!
Muscles were so fresh and the service was impeccable. The food does not disappoint and you feel like you’re in France.
Lovely brunch. Delicious bread; excellent service!
Good food good service. Very enjoyable albeit a bit on the noisy side
This is one of my family's favorite places in the area.
Food is fantastic. Wines by the glass are also very good.
The restaurant is lovely - french bistro atmosphere. Very good food, service and atmosphere.
I would definitely go back. It was a very nice dining experience
I still like this place, but it's just not as good and inviting as it was even two years ago. There have been management changes and it just seems a little more "average" now and like people aren't excited to be there. The sangria isn't real sangria these days. It used to be special and excellent with plenty of good fresh fruit - now it's basically red wine and organge juice with a skewer of fruit at the top Our server took longer to take our orders and like he didn't want to be sure we had a great experience and didn't smile at all. This was a special holiday ladies' brunch and we all enjoyed it, but not as much as we did two years ago. Next time, I will pick another place for our brunch. I will return as the food is still good and it is a nice restaurant, but I left feeling a little underwhelmed.
Great little restaurant on Main Street Port Washington.
Will go back for sure
La P'tite Framboise never disappoints - the food is delicious, starting with the chewy baquette that I can never pass up. Mussels Provencale were a hit with the whole table (with lots of dipping of baquettes to soak up the broth). Fish, steak - all delicious. And the apple Tarte Tatin and Profiteroles were gone within moments of being placed on the table. The only hiccup this night (and we've eaten there many times) was the service. It seemed like some of the waitstaff was "subbing in" - they didn't seem very experienced with questions regarding menu items, and entrees arrived at the table without knowing which guest got which food. Service aside, it was a great meal!
Great mussels and by far best burger in Town. Very good service also. Recently renovated seating a nice addition.
This is my second or third poor review of La P'tite. So, my it's my own fault for continuing to come back. This time I brought two friends from out of town that were very excited for the brunch. When we placed the order, the waiter didn't write anything down. So of course, he didn't get everything right. He completely forgot to put in for the mac & cheese that we ordered as a side dish for the table. If anyone at the restaurant is reading this, PLEASE take note - NO ONE is impressed if the waiter can remember the entire order. Instead, everyone gets upset when something is wrong with the order, especially when the waiter had the opportunity to write it down and get it correct. This is extremely disappointing and embarrassing. Also, when we were dining, there we only two other tables occupied in the entire restaurant yet there was no waitstaff keeping an eye out for requests from the tables. I had to wait quite awhile to get a refill of my water and I had to ask two separate people before it finally came. Please - keep in mind that all diners can cook their own food, they go out to eat for the service.
As always, the food and service were great. I've been here with friends and family many times. Everyone has always enjoyed the experience!
The water boy kept bumping into me in order to get access to the table next to us. The tables were too close together.
The pre-fix wasn’t their best foot forward. If this was our first time then I wouldn’t be coming back.
Dined during LI Restaurant Week. Filet sole excellent as were appys & desserts. Staff was very accommodating; especially in replacing one of the entrees. Would definitely return.
We were there quite early on a Saturday night and the restaurant was jammed. The noise level was deafening and it was almost impossible to hold a conversation. The tables were very close together. The servers were largely inattentive. I think that asking for bread 3 times is unacceptable. The restaurant would not accept a coupon because just one of the four of us had the prix fixe. We had the mussels, which were quite good, but we will think long and hard about ever returning.
Went on a Saturday night during long island restaurant week, 6 diners, 3 of us ordered the hanger steak from the price fix menu ($28). After sitting down at the table at 6:30pm, we weren't served our dinner until 7:50pm! The 3 hanger steak dinners were very tough and when we complained, the waitress said she would mention it the chef. When we complained again, the surly manager said hanger steak is hard to prepare and then grudgingly decided to take a whopping $12 off a $380 bill. We should have sent the steak back, but we were so hungry by that point. We live local and will never return.
Went for brunch. The food and service were excellent, but the place was practically empty; there were only about 3 other tables. I hope it picks up for them and this was just an off day.
Good spot to meet friends and enjoy a lovely meal in a lovely restaurant. The onion soup is delicious!
