This place rocks!!! Ever changing menu and staff who love what they do. Food is amazing! Thank you
Varied menu with great selections. Ambiance is fabulous.
The food and atmosphere was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Our waitress, Adrianna was very helpful, efficient and pleasant.
We went for a birthday dinner and we are definitely returning. The service was excellent. Both our meals and appetizer were delicious. The drinks were outstanding. Ryan is the manager, and he provided us with a most enjoyable evening. Thank you Ryan. We will be coming back soon!
This will be easy; we have been going there ever since they first opened years ago for special occasions or to get together with friends. Perfect environment to have an enjoyable evening. Food, service, experience was perfect. ONLY disappointment was not being able to sit out on the patio and enjoy nature; actually it was raining so we passed on that idea.
We'll see you there next time!!
We celebrated my birthday. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner of appetizers, salad and amazing entrees delish!
Perfect food and ambiance
Had a great first experience. Food was delicious, and all the staff were very friendly. Our food came out super quick and was cooked to perfection.
Fabulous food as always. Enjoy the creme brûlée every time.
La Provence always delivers great food, drinks, and of course wine. Fun and friendly adult atmosphere. We had the lamb and it was outstanding.
Our two vegetarian entrees were very good and creative.
La Provence is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. We go there for special occasions as well as any time we want a delicious meal. If there is a chef special, give it a try. Two of our party had the scallops with huckleberry drizzle and loved it. And, their hamburger is perfection.
Easter Buffet
You will be hard pressed to find a finer, more romantic dining experience than La Provence! Our waiter, David, was spectacular. It was a wonderful evening; it was our 6th wedding anniversary, and I could not recommend this restaurant more highly. It is well worth the $$.
Another very nice experience. The food, served and ambiance were great. We will definitely come again.
We had reservations for 7:00p.m.. They seated us, we sat there for 25 minutes. Nobody acknowledged us or spoke to us, so we got up and left the restaurant. Very disappointing. Was supposed to be my Birthday dinner.
Outstanding, as always! Food, prices, servers and other staff, delightful setting, are consistently pleasant and enjoyable.
We had a fabulous time. The food was outstanding and, of course, you can’t beat the atmosphere.
We wanted a nice night out. It was a wonderful experience.
Very consistent....great atmosphere. The seafood dishes were fabulous. The service is always consistent and the hostess is a pro!
Chef prepared a Three Course Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner that was DELIGHTFUL !!! Table by the fire, a couple of bottles of wonderful wine to share with family ... WONDERFUL service ... a PERFECT evening! We LOVE this place!!
Pleasantly surprised at this find off the beaten track ... we are from the Bay area and we enjoyed what we ordered from the escargots to the filet. My husband like the onion soup and the green salad I had was dressed just right ... even shared 1/3 with my husband. A bottle of Cote du Rhone wine was reasonably priced. We enjoyed the live, jazzy music. Our server, Andrea, was very attentive. We will return when we are back in the Sacramento area.
We came for the St. Patty’s Day special-corned beef and cabbage. I was not disappointed. The corned beef was fall-apart tender and everything that came with the pre fixe was delicious. I am never disappointed when dining at La Provence. My husband and I come here for just about every special event and always enjoy our meal. Thank you Chef Rod and your amazing kitchen staff. And thank you to all the FOH staff too!
Lovely restaurant. Food was good and pricing appropriate. Service somewhat lacking - asked for water twice before our glasses were refilled and two of five orders were incorrect.
I was very please with everything! La Provence was the perfect place to bring out of town family. We asked for and received the table we requested, and the staff was helpful to my blind companions. The food and service was delightful. We came for and early lunch and love that we can chose between breakfast and lunch items off your menu. Stepping inside your beautiful restaurant is like a trip to France.
Overall great experience. The service has been slow in the past, but this was not the case this time around. Waiter was very professional, but didnt tell us his name for some reason....no biggie.
Everything was fabulous but the waiter seemed like he wanted to be both our best friend yet intrusive and a bit confrontational with our requests...like for a new tea cup for one that was broken. Everything from appetizers to main course was treated as if we were going to share it all even when we had made clear our orders were for ourselves. Early in the meal when he came to take drink orders. My wife wanted hot tea and I was staying with water but would like a glass of wine with dinner. I was never given he chance to order it nor did he ‘remember’ to stop by and ask. The final shot at us was when he literally threw the bill with the credit card slip for me to sign on the table and walked away simply saying ‘thank you’ when he was almost out of earshot range.
My wife and I do love this restaurant and we both hope it continues to succeed. Our server was the only hiccup in an other wise incredible birthday dinner for my wife.
We dine at LaProvence often. Dinner was exceptionally good tonight and so was service. Seems to be getting better and better lately. Thank you!
Service was attentive, not as polished as it should be but not too bad. The section of the restaurant we sat in was empty but the hostess seated us, a party of two, at a tight two person table. Two more parties of two came after us and got 4 top tables. It never got busy so not sure why we got stuck on a small table top. Food ok, menu could be larger. Loved wine Wednesday, when every bottle of wine is half off.
La Provence is one of my husband and my favorite restaurants. The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is superb, the service is outstanding.
I've recently moved to Sun City Roseville. My special occasion was treating my brothers because they showed up for the weekend to help me fix my drip system and plant my herb garden and other "stuff." My younger brother is 78. My older brother and I are 81 and 79. It's amazing what two old guys and their sister can accomplish!
Unfortunately my Bistro Steak was chewy. I should have expected it, but I thought it was a filet and instead I'm pretty sure it was a sirloin. I've bought the prime sirloin at Costco and it's very tender. Anyway, the flavor was great and I did eat half of it. Our server was attentive...the wine was quite good. We had a bottle of Chardonnay and one of Cab.
The evening was pretty noisy as there were several birthday parties going on and one "turning 21" party, but I enjoy seeing people having a good time. I think your restaurant is superb.
It was our first visit and everything was absolutely wonderful
Great setting with high beamed ceilings and a welcoming, warm fire. In Spring & Summer the outdoor seating is so very French. The food is always creative and delicious. The staff is welcoming and attentive. We love this place!
We frequent this establishment. They never cease to amaze us with the ever changing menu and dinner specials. The service, atmosphere and food is second to none!
Thank you La Provence for your continued efforts to always improve and create new dinner plate options. You are all awesome as is the food!
Exceeded expectations! My girlfriend and I came for dinner to celebrate out birthdays - not only did the hostess give us special wishes - but so did our server. Our table was in a lovely quiet area, with a great view of the fireplace. Our server Ray, was outstanding. Attentive, charming and knowledgeable - he treated us like we were VIP guests. Wonderful menu (Beef Wellington!) , delicious cocktails, and yummy desserts.
Treat yourself or a special person to this terrific place - elegant, warm, and amazing!
The steak was tough. I've had much much better at Tahoe Joe's. The service was okay, nothing outstanding. The wine list was extensive. I had the Bedrock Old Vine 2015 zinfandel. It was excellent.
The beef Wellington was the best meal I've ever had, period. Go there just for that and you won't be disappointed.
Never have I been at a French restaurant for a 3 course meal in under an hour!! That is so NOT French!!! How is it possible that all the food came within 5 minutes of each other? The escargot was so-so, beet salad was good, French onion soup was salty, salmon was overcooked, the pasta that came with it was tasteless and soggy, lamb shank was ok and so was the Petit Chateau. Instead of garlic mashed potato, it should be called butter mashed potatoes. The presentation needs major improvement. Although it was not busy, service was lacking. Our waitress didn't ask us how everything was, so when the bus boy came to clear the table, we notified him of our thoughts of the food. Then when our waitress came, we told her. She was nice enough to have the French onion and the salmon taken off from the check. It was a huge disappointment necause it took us 90 minutes to get there and to be done with our meal in under an hour was NOT worth the drive!
What a wonderful place. WE haven't been here in a while and i must say it's a pleasure t return. I had the short ribs and my guests had the beef Wellington and Salmon. All was cooked perfectly. Nive service, nice wine list, nice atmosphere.
Overall excellent; however, the veggies were a bit oily.
