   The hostess was very friendly and accommodating. It’s nice to be greeted so sweetly. Our waiter was slow to take our order, but otherwise okay. The ambiance is the best in the area; it’s the primary reason we return. The food is just okay, and a tad overpriced. We have sat on the patio a few times before. It’s a beautiful and serene setting, but it was closed this visit. Overall, recommend for finer dining, but if you’re a foodie you may be disappointed.

   I ordered a goat cheese/beet salad for $17 and it had 1 round bite of goat cheese and the beets were cut up so tiny the fork would not pick them up. I gave a nice tip because it was not the servers fault. I have never in my life such a rip off of a salad in my life.

   Special event in the bar created so much noise that spilled over into the dining room so that we could not communicate for the first half hour of our dinner. I believe it was some sort of a tasting event. Customers should be warned if this is scheduled so they could adjust their schedule accordingly.. At the price of the meals it is criminal to spend good money, on a great meal, and feel that you have been taken. Any recommendation would come with a warning (below)

   The waiter was a little patronizing and rushing in the beginning. Then dessert took half an hour to show up. Ordered a dish that said it came with risotto. Creamed potatoes showed up. We asked for the risotto, waiter brought a small dish of dried up orange colored rice. The braised short ribs were over cooked and Apple tart dough was under cooked. The gelatinous mess inside tasted like canned apple pie filling. Is that your version of a French apple tart now? Our group goes to dinner often and we try a different restaurant each time. We had high hopes as we had all been to LP in the past. Wow! Nothing special or delightful to eat. Just mediocre food not prepared very well. None of us feel compelled to return. And that’s a shame.

   As always, La Provence chefs do not disappoint. My dish with cod and pasta was very good. Wine selection good and crème brûlée excellent. My friends and I stayed and visited for some time, as the ambience was perfect for catching up. I have never been disappointed with La Provence menu, food or service. Unfortunately for dinner service a few weeks ago, the noise level was almost unbearable.

    Eric was phenomenal -excellent. We had Wendy on our last visit and she is excellent too. I come here 2-3 times a year to celebrate birthdays with special friends. My friends drive from the Bay Area because La Provence is our favorite restaurant.

    Consistently good quality. Great dining and bar ambiance. Although the cocktails are great and bartenders really good the prices are too high. $40 for a champagne cocktail and a Manhattan is steep. We had a bottle of decent red wine at dinner that was $45. Food pricing was what I would expect. All that said, we’ll go back… for dinner. 😎

    I had brunch on a Saturday with a friend. Although the wait staff was gracious, it took a while for us to order. There were several large parties going on that day and the restaurant appeared to be short staffed. All in all, the food was delicious, including the coffee. We were happy that the wait staff poured us second cups of coffee. I prefer dining at the restaurant for dinner during the week.

    We went on a Saturday and there were several large parties there. They were immediately seated as were we. Our server was very busy and they could have used at least one more table server for the small parties. The food was wonderful. The food presentation too. My husband got the burger and commented that he could not recall eating a better-tasting burger. I don't usually like the taste of hamburgers but this one made me want to order one next time. It was delicious, moist, and thick yet cooked perfectly medium well. I had the salmon salad and it was very good. I would order it again. We really like La Provence and continue to return for both lunch and dinner too.

    The meal, service, ambience were superb. WE had the Petite Chateau. It was fantastic! The vegetables were and potatoes could not have been better. The wine was right on. Can't wait to return for another extraordinary experience.

    I recently dined at La Provence Restaurant and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Despite making an advance reservation, my party and I were made to wait for over an hour past our reservation time without any explanation or acknowledgement of the delay. Despite mentioning that it was a birthday dinner, both to the host and on the Open Table app, we were not given any special treatment. The front of house staff seemed either flustered or indifferent to our wait, and did not offer any apologies or explanation for the delay. When we were finally seated, the staff appeared eager to rush us through our meal and did not inform us of any menu specials. The service was incredibly slow, with long delays between appetizers and entrees. Overall, the dining experience was very disappointing, especially considering that we were celebrating a special occasion. I would not recommend this restaurant and would not return. The manager could benefit from learning some guest service and dining experience lessons from establishments such as Il Fornaio Roseville or Kitchen 747.

    We came to celebrate my mother's 97th birthday and had a wonderful time. We came early 4pm by 6pm it filled up. So nice to see a full house of patrons. The service, food and obiance was excellent!

    First let me start by saying that while were not disappointed we went to La Provence we will not likely return. My food was fine. Not spectacular but very good. My wife ordered the vegetable lasagna and it tasted good but there was no lasagna noodles which was odd. But she also got a full bay leaf in her dinner. I would have expected a restaurant of this caliber to remove those from the sauce before putting together the dish. Not an enormous problem but it says something about the kitchen.

    Sat us in the back room with very uncomfortable seats...by the end of the dinner my back was very sore. We made reservations 4 days in advance and still had to wait 20 minutes to be seated.

    Love every single aspect of this place, the food, ambiance, service and the wine. We go here 4-5 times a year and will always be one of our favorites. We got the prime rib special and French onion soup. Flat out delicious.

    Jason was our server and was excellent. The French onion soup and lasagna were superb. I’ve had these items before and their quality control is quite high. Same great food. There are some new menu items I need to try. The fireplace was going and quiet French music made for a lovely lunch atmosphere.
