The waiters were excellent! Definitely made this place very welcoming
Visited for our wedding anniversary dinner. We started withthe tomato burrata salad. It was enough to share and really good. I order the fillet and my husband ordered the bone in ribeye both were excellent. We sure the brussels sprouts which were recommended by our wonderful server Norma those were great as well. Highly recommend.
Food is always top notch service is second to none been coming here for years I have never been disappointed.
Went there for our anniversary, we had our reservation at 5pm, there wasn’t any other guests really until we started to leave so it was a pretty quite date with an amazing view. I would say maybe reserve for 6:30 so you can see the sun setting depending on the time of year. We both had fillet mignon medium rare which was decent for $70. Super tender but seasoning could have been a bit more noticeable, The desert was great. And on the house for the special occasion. We actually customized the ice cream and it turned out very good. The entire staff was friendly and walked with a smile.
food was great and came out in a timely manner, price was fair. service could be better.
We enjoyed an excellent meal with attentive service, and relaxing atmosphere. They accommodated our dietary restrictions and made sure everything was perfect. They even made a special dessert for the person we were celebrating. It was perfect!
satisfied. there's nothing negative i can say about this place. i enjoyed my visit and will recommend it to my friends.
This is a great place for a special meal especially when you have friends who are visiting Los Angeles for the first time! Incredible views and the revolving lounge can't be missed!
I was really looking forward to this restaurant as it was very difficult to get a reservation during holiday season per my BF . When we got there, we were seated immediately at the dining room, with a window seat. So far so good. My BF ordered the rib eye, and I wanted to order the duck breast with foie gras but the server "suggested" lamb chop. So, okay, I tried the lamb chop. Food came about 30 minutes later. My BF's steak was okay, nothing spectacular. It's rib eye. My lamb chops (2) were a good size, but when I cut into it, it had a lot of fat. By the time I trimmed of all the fat, it was less than 50 % edible part. So I enjoyed the greens and mashed potatoes that came with it, and took the other chop home because I didn't want to take the time to dissect it again. The next day, I pan fried the chop again, and when I cut it open, it was again full of fat.
If you like 50% of your lamp chop to be fat and 50 % edible part, then order the lamp chop there. If you don't, I suggest ordering something else, or possibly ask for "lean" lamp chops. I was really disappointed.
The ambience and the bread basket was good.
Well prepared traditional cuisine, good wine list, and professional staff in a great setting. Accommodating with split entrees and salads without charge. Overall a wonderful dining experience
great place to have a romantic dinner. great view great food great service!
The server was very helpful and accommodating. Unfortunately their food is just not up to par. The steak was well prepared but lacked any flavor, and the mashed potatoes unfortunately tasted like hospital food. Maybe it was the time we dined, (9:00 pm) but I was very disappointed in the meal. The odor in the restaurant was also unbearable, the couple next to us made a joke that their was a baby that needed to be changed but it’s honestly unacceptable that it smelled bad enough for guest to comment. I actually ended up sending back my plate and not ordering another dish.
Party of 10 next to us were way too loud. Food was mediocre. Service was fine.
The ambiance was excellent, the steaks were tasty and our server was outstanding!
Overall very good but pricey and views are not what you might expect. Valet parking is complimentary (enter on Flower Street). It is a little confusing to find the elevator for the restaurant (look for the Red Tower). The tables are a good size and are next to the window. There are also many 2-3 person booths that look out at the view. The service was very good. The restaurant was quiet. The food was well-prepared but not better than other steakhouses. It ends up being about $125 per person with tax and tip without wine or alcoholic drinks (menu and prices on Open Table were accurate). The restaurant is on the 35th floor, but the views are more limited than you might expect because other buildings block a significant portion of the views and the other views are not towards the ocean. That said, this restaurant does have the best views of any downtown LA steakhouse (there are non-steakhouse's with better views). In sum, you will enjoy this restaurant if you are looking for a quiet, well-prepared steak with good service, and some views.
Ms.Nikki was amazing and the food was great! I would come back from Houston again!! We love you Nikki!
From the view to the food everything was great!!
A great choice for a romantic birthday celebration with your spouse or loved one. The food and service were exceptional!
We love coming here. Consistent good food and service!
I had friends from Japan visiting Los Angeles and LA Prime was the perfect place for a quiet enjoyable evening with excellent food and service.
Appetizers and dinner were excellent. Dessert was disappointing, as was the service.
The views are breathtaking, even on a rainy night like the one we had. The quality of the food was impeccable, definitely worth the high prices. I took photos of the bread basket, which was arranged in an artsy fashion, and the 3lb lobster. (My boyfriend got steak). The entrees are served a la carte, so we ordered asparagus & brussel sprouts on the side.
Food was excellent and service was good. The valet was HORRIBLE. When we arrrived it took 15 minutes for a valet to attend to us and when we left it took 30 minutes for them to retrieve our car which colored our entire experience with the restaurant. Nice view on the top floor.
Good food and great view of the City, Very attentive Waitstaff
Went here for the BF’s Birthday. Located at the top of the Westin downtown. Has great panoramic views. The food was good. He really loved his porterhouse steak and my sea bass was excellent. The bread basket was good as well with the fresh olive tamponade. Excellent wine selections from all over the world. Maria out server was superb!! Very attentive. She even provided us with nice dessert gift and chocolates. Definitely we’ll be back.
The meals were very expensive, the quality rather poor. Portions were large, but cooked with little care and far from being tasty. Given the price, we expected a great deal more. The duck was exceptionally poor, the vegetarian mushroom dish was little better. I can’t recall ever eating a meal more disappointing.
We were seated quickly however the service was very slow. Though once the food came out our attendee was very kind and removed items from our check as we’ve waited long for our food.
The food was great- the only downfall was the salt level. We felt the meats to be very salty for our taste.
Loved the view and food.
The food was good appetizers we're great but the bread was terrible
Good view and good.
Amazing food and service. Restaurant is a little pricy ... but I guess that’s what you pay for the view of downtown LA.
Very nice for a special occasion. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly; he made some great suggestions. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner!
Excellent restaurant with little to no noise levels. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend and would go back. Just be prepared with your wallet, but all worth it.
Took a relative for their birthday. It was their first time there; my second. We received excellent service all around, beginning with the Valet to the Hostesses. Our Server was wonderful - thank you Maria. Worth the drive. Look forward to returning again.
Food was great aside from the fact that there was a bone in the tuna tartare! Service was mediocre at best. Not at all what I was expecting for such an expensive meal. I called twice to confirm a special request and they still forgot. Waiter was not very attentive. Great view.
Staff was very polite and cordial. However, both steaks ( $72 each) were cooked a perfect medium as ordered but we're so tough they could not be eaten. We picked at them to find a tender section but we're largely unsuccessful. I truly doubt they were actually Prime cuts. The view was fabulous and we'd love to go back for another romantic evening and probably will for cocktails but certainly not for dinner. Too bad. Tom
I went to this place for the first time on Saturday 2/24/2018 and it was great. I checked in for my reservation and I was attended right away and given a table right away. The service was amazing, the view was beautiful, and it was a very nice environment. I was on a date and it was really romantic. I had a 5:30pm reservation and I got to see the sunset with my date while drinking our martinis and eating delicious Salmon and New York Grill Steak! The view is amazing, the ambience is nice and professional but there is no dress code. The food quality was amazing, it was absolutely delicious and a great time. Perfect for a romantic outing/date. Guys/ladies if you’re planning on bring a date here be sure to come with a minimum budget of around $150-$400 depending what you get. Each plate is a minimum of $45-60, and other plates run you up to $100-$200 per person and drinks and sides are even more. This restaurant is worth the money though. Awesome time, me and my date really enjoyed this place and we are going to come back again for our anniversary.
This is the place where you would go for a special occasion
