A great choice for a romantic birthday celebration with your spouse or loved one. The food and service were exceptional!
We love coming here. Consistent good food and service!
I had friends from Japan visiting Los Angeles and LA Prime was the perfect place for a quiet enjoyable evening with excellent food and service.
The views are breathtaking, even on a rainy night like the one we had. The quality of the food was impeccable, definitely worth the high prices. I took photos of the bread basket, which was arranged in an artsy fashion, and the 3lb lobster. (My boyfriend got steak). The entrees are served a la carte, so we ordered asparagus & brussel sprouts on the side.
Food was excellent and service was good. The valet was HORRIBLE. When we arrrived it took 15 minutes for a valet to attend to us and when we left it took 30 minutes for them to retrieve our car which colored our entire experience with the restaurant. Nice view on the top floor.
Good food and great view of the City, Very attentive Waitstaff
Went here for the BF’s Birthday. Located at the top of the Westin downtown. Has great panoramic views. The food was good. He really loved his porterhouse steak and my sea bass was excellent. The bread basket was good as well with the fresh olive tamponade. Excellent wine selections from all over the world. Maria out server was superb!! Very attentive. She even provided us with nice dessert gift and chocolates. Definitely we’ll be back.
The meals were very expensive, the quality rather poor. Portions were large, but cooked with little care and far from being tasty. Given the price, we expected a great deal more. The duck was exceptionally poor, the vegetarian mushroom dish was little better. I can’t recall ever eating a meal more disappointing.
We were seated quickly however the service was very slow. Though once the food came out our attendee was very kind and removed items from our check as we’ve waited long for our food.
The food was great- the only downfall was the salt level. We felt the meats to be very salty for our taste.
Loved the view and food.
The food was good appetizers we're great but the bread was terrible
Good view and good.
Amazing food and service. Restaurant is a little pricy ... but I guess that’s what you pay for the view of downtown LA.
Very nice for a special occasion. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly; he made some great suggestions. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner!
Excellent restaurant with little to no noise levels. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to a friend and would go back. Just be prepared with your wallet, but all worth it.
Took a relative for their birthday. It was their first time there; my second. We received excellent service all around, beginning with the Valet to the Hostesses. Our Server was wonderful - thank you Maria. Worth the drive. Look forward to returning again.
Food was great aside from the fact that there was a bone in the tuna tartare! Service was mediocre at best. Not at all what I was expecting for such an expensive meal. I called twice to confirm a special request and they still forgot. Waiter was not very attentive. Great view.
Staff was very polite and cordial. However, both steaks ( $72 each) were cooked a perfect medium as ordered but we're so tough they could not be eaten. We picked at them to find a tender section but we're largely unsuccessful. I truly doubt they were actually Prime cuts. The view was fabulous and we'd love to go back for another romantic evening and probably will for cocktails but certainly not for dinner. Too bad. Tom
I went to this place for the first time on Saturday 2/24/2018 and it was great. I checked in for my reservation and I was attended right away and given a table right away. The service was amazing, the view was beautiful, and it was a very nice environment. I was on a date and it was really romantic. I had a 5:30pm reservation and I got to see the sunset with my date while drinking our martinis and eating delicious Salmon and New York Grill Steak! The view is amazing, the ambience is nice and professional but there is no dress code. The food quality was amazing, it was absolutely delicious and a great time. Perfect for a romantic outing/date. Guys/ladies if you’re planning on bring a date here be sure to come with a minimum budget of around $150-$400 depending what you get. Each plate is a minimum of $45-60, and other plates run you up to $100-$200 per person and drinks and sides are even more. This restaurant is worth the money though. Awesome time, me and my date really enjoyed this place and we are going to come back again for our anniversary.
This is the place where you would go for a special occasion
The view was amazing and service was great, however, my meal was incredibly salty. I ordered the seafood gumbo and after a few bites, I could not eat anymore because I was feeling a little lightheaded with it. I also ordered the shrimp scampi and I thought it was just decent. It had an aroma to it as well as a light sour taste.
The halibut and the sea bass was excellent excellent!! and VERY WELL PREPARED AND COOKED. Unfortunately the accompanied greens and potatoes were poorly prepared. RUINED THE entire dish.
Appetizer and soup was excellent!
This was one of the best experiences I have had at restaurant, the service was excellent, the quality of food was amazing and everything was fast and just overall Great! I want to also say thank you to our waitress Maria who made everything even more perfect
Not your average steakhouse LA PRIME goes above and beyond for their guests. The 10oz Filet Mignon was mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. LA PRIME has a great wine menu as well that lists some of the top vineyards in the region and from Italy. The view is to die for, especially at night. If you want to light up your night over a nice steak dinner this is the hot spot of Los Angeles. My girlfriend and I will definitely be back! Birthday for my mom
was for my wife and I's 3rd anniversary. We had our wedding reception there. A wonderful place to enjoy that time together.
We had a great time & dinner was delicious. I would highly recommend this place to friends and family.
The views were amazing
The service spectacular
The ambience was great
Really felt like a class A place
Only problem was the price for 400$ I expect some really amazing food and I’ll I got was “ok” food
Went to celebrate Valentines on 2-14-2018. $150 per person value dinner is overpriced.
Our server Maria and the other staff that serviced the table were excellent.
Food was very disappointing and service was not up to par.
First time trying LA Prime and I definitely would recommend this place for special occasions the food was beyond amazing and the ambiance was on point. Our host for the night Barret H made the night extremely memorable and was super attentive definitely made the night even more special!!!!
I loved it they sat us at a view it was more for my parents, the server was really nice and sweet as well as the bus boy. Everyone was really kind and helpful they do tell you about your mean in case you think you might know what it is so that way your not confused when you receive it. Overall it was an outstanding experience. I would certainly go back,
Meets and exceeds expectation. Views of city scape are very nice. Ambiance is superb.
I was celebrating my 4 yr wedding anniversary, initially I was insulted by a server, when asked for a menu that had a page 20 for dessert wines, he insinuated that I could not afford a bottle of wine and his tone was downgrading, as if I could not afford to dine at this restaurant. Even ordering our food, my wife wanted a Porterhouse and a potato. I am not big on beef and nothing truly appeared to jump at me off the menu, so I ordered the Lobster Bisque. When I gave the waiter our order, his response was, "So, you will be sharing your meal?" I couldn't believe he figured we would share a meal, like I could not afford 2 meals. I am not a child, I don't need an extra plate to share a steak meal. My response was excuse me, "I don't eat steak and all I want is the Lobster Bisque, is that okay?" I think he noticed that I was a little uncomfortable with his tone. I may not look like a wealthy black rapper or a hip hop star, but all I wanted to do was to have a nice quiet dinner with my wife and enjoy the scenery. Even the steak my wife ordered had to be sent back to the kitchen, because she ordered well done and it came out burnt, with a layer of charred grease on it. Overall, it was a salvaged night, but the dinner part of my surprise for my wife, blew up right in my face. I have never felt so insulted.
I loved it. Everything was great. From the waitress to the food. The scene was awesome, especially being so high up.
