It was a great view, and the servers were very accommodating. The food was just good. Some items were great, but it wasn’t consistent. For a nice view of the city with a lounge downstairs that rotates for a 360 view of LA, this is the place.
Great food, great ambiance, great views, and great service!
Excellent experience, recommended !
Brought my husband for a nice dinner to celebrate his bachelors degree , perfect date night !
On Valentine’s Day they were very busy but so is every other restaurant. The food was outstanding, Cameron provided a fantastic service! Very much recommended!!
I wasn’t impressed. The server was rude and the wait was too long.
Food took a little to long to come out, roughly about 30-49 mins but beside that great drinks, great food, great view and great service
Valentine's menu wasnt worth the price tbh .
The regular menu is way better.
It was just not worth $580, serious gouging of clientele under the excuse of Valentines Day. I received a phone call AFTER I made reservations that the bill would be $160 a person and that a fee would be charged to my credit card if I canceled. Another point on this is that that "$160" a person did not include an automatic 18% gratuity - totally not worth it BTW - plus having to pay for water AND if we wanted an additional drink. The service felt rushed and unfriendly. Overall a MAJOR disappointment that ended up costing more than any restaurant in LA. As a long time Bonvoy/Marriott customer, I've never felt more ripped off! The Westin should be ashamed of themselves.
A Valentine’s Day home run! The steaks & lobster were the best we’ve ever had. Absolutely choice meats cooked to perfection! Bravo! Potatoes were great too. Add some greens to the main course (like asparagus or French-style green beans) & it would have been the best meal in town. Service was top-notch, the views spectacular. Free valet parking was nice too (esp when you consider the daily in-&-out rate for hotel guests is 50/day!) The only things we thought could be improved upon have to do with ambiance: it’s about time for a furniture upgrade— they’re
a little behind the times here; booths, walls & tables need some more warmth. And the old-school sound system with cheap overhead speakers gots to go. Music makes the evening, & while I think they were on the right track with classic jazz, coming out of low-grade speakers made it sound more like an elevator. We’ll be back for the food though! OFF-THE-CHARTS!!!
New top favorite restaurant
I ordered the scallops and they were “sandy” and the menu stated there were mashed potatoes with the meal and I did not see or taste any mashed potatoes in my meal. So I’m thinking it was an an incomplete meal for the price
Beautiful views, and most importantly awsome staff. Shout out to Maria that made my experience remarkable!
Great service and amazing food.
We have been to the restaurant before loved it and the bar below. The food and service was excellent. All tables have a view. The only reason I did not give it all 5 stars for everything is because they seated a in a corner and it was my daughter’s birthday. She still loved it!!!
Came here for dinela. The food was good. But it was nothing special. For it being 60 bucks than the usual 50 for a typical steakhouse dinela it was not worth it. The lobster bisque was not what I expected. It wasnt the best and not as decadent or creamy as I was expecting it to be. It tasted more like the guts. Nothing wrong with that but it was too much. The steak was good cooked perfectly. Very lightly seasoned if it was even seasoned. The sides you would want to get is extra. It came with potatoe au gratin and it was grainy. I would've preferred plain ol mash. We added the creamed corn. It was good but I've had better. The dessert looked and tasted like it was made in a factory. Nothing special. It was a nice experience great as ambiance, great service terrible traffic but I would've choose to go to another steakhouse next time around.
A romantic, classy evening with great food and fantastic views. Service was wonderful and validating parking was a major plus.
Customer service was well however, the food was not. Overcooked, undercooked, worse steak in my entire life. I blame it on a bad day, night. So I’ll give it another chance because the reviews I read prior to visiting was opposite of my experience. But as of now, it’s 0 for 1 with me.
Everything was awesome as always. Thank you!!
Great view at night and great service. Went here for the Dine LA special with my girlfriend and it was $185. Definitely come here again for it for the food and atmosphere.
Burthday meal. Norma very responsive.
Great Service! Food was terrific! Steak was cooked to temperature and sides are Great!
The food and the service was outstanding. Very pleasant experience.
The waiter was excellent. One of the hostess’ was quite rude. Interrupted us twice while talking with another hostess. Also, would have been nice to get a better look at the restaurant to select a table. We only know what the first 20 feet look like. And we waited 15min after our reservation time. And we showed up early. Lastly the 3 course menu for the night that we ordered from clearly stated 18% gratuity was included. Once the bill arrived it clearly stated gratuity NOT included. I almost tipped twice. Only because I asked did they tell me gratuity was in fact included. It all seemed a little deceiving.
Great food. Breath taking views. Great attentive service.
Bread was stale. My vegetable side dish was cold and mushy. Steak and shrimp was good. Disappointing for the price.
Celebrated my boyfriends birthday, staff was really nice & brought a complimentary dessert.
Blake was our server and he went above and beyond!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary and I was looking for a place in downtown LA. The food was excellent, my steak was cooked to perfection, and the ambiance was perfect. We had an amazing time.
The service was outstanding! The food was ok- not impressive. The view was nice but I wish they had would have sit us in front of the windows, there was nobody there . We still got a good view! It was nice.
The staff were kind of courteous. The grade of my clients kindly and with enthusiasm. The food was absolutely amazing.
My daughter and I are in town for the IMTA convention and met up with my sister and mom who live nearby. This was the most amazing night and best experience! The food was incredible but it was our server Norma who made our night over-the-top special. She has a passion for her work and it shows! She recommended the perfect wine to go with our steaks (which were incredibly tender!) and even brought out a dessert after the meal to further compliment the wine. But it was her true caring nature and commitment to great service that knocked our socks off! I wish that we lived in the area so we could come back and see Norma again. We will always remember her and our time together at LA Prime, a truly classy restaurant. Cheers!
I read the reviews before I went so my expectations weren’t that high. I mean how can you mess up a ceaser salad or bread or soup? They did. It was bad, too bad to eat. My daughter got blackened chicken put on her salad. They precook all the chicken prior to opening their doors. Needless to say it was dry and not eatable. The lobster bisque was awful. The bread they started dinner off with was cold, stale and store bought. And the compote they served with the bread was disgusting. Bar food is better than this was. The chef should be fired. The waiter offered to comp the uneaten salad, but we just paid and left. There was nothing worth coming to this restaurant for.
Excellent all around!!!
New Year’s Eve
Service was horrible. Menu was a special menus due to NY. Didn’t know that because when you call you can never get thru. Complained about our waitress and received a 10% discount, but had to pay 18% gratuity for service that was awful.
Norma provided excellent service, and details about the restaurant and the downtown area. The New Year’s fair was delicious!
Way to expensive . Had dinner here NYE reservation for 4 at 545pm . The service was excepcional . But the food was not worth the $150 pp we paid . I had the prime rip which came with 3 tiny barely there potatoe wedges . The prime rib is supposed to be what they are known for and 25% of it was FAT! The menu was basically chosen for us which I did not like . Overall the service was great but I wouldn’t go back there When I can go to Fleming’s and spend the same thing I spent there and have a fat free steak w an actual side dish for way less than what I paid here . Overrated .
Food was fair. Worst lobster bisque . Looked like dirty seafood broth. Sent it back
