We love the food and the service at LA Prime! Norma is our favorite waitress!
Great view of the city and great service by the staff. The food was good a little pricey.
The vegetables they offered with the steak was not made available with the salmon. Nothing extra, just switching the meat and fish off one plate to another...they refused. Not Good Service. The waiter was very kind and concerned for our enjoyment.
I've been to the lounge downstairs a couple of times many years ago, and the steaks were well prepared.
Decided to come and try the restaurant hoping the food still tasted similarly.
It tasted exactly the way I remembered. We had the New York and filet, and both were cooked just right at the correct medium rare, and the meat was quality.
If you like high quality steak cooked just right, skip CUT by Wolfgang Puck and try LA Prime, and enjoy the view!
Did the DineLA menu- Prix Fixe menu. Very tasty by hat have an expensive, and extensive wine list/ a little lacking I. The liquor department, which I found unusual for such a high end dining experience. The filet was outstanding. The ambiance Extrodinaire. The service was wanting...if you go on a regular night expect to pay well over $200 for dinner for two.
Our medium cooked steak was too cooked, well done. My husband was too embarrassed to complain and left most of it.
The server was very kind and suggested the fresh fish catch of the day, this plate did not disappoint.
At the end of dinner a dessert was brought out with a "Happy Anniversary" chocolate plate. Very kind and thoughtful gesture to make the evening sweet. Once dinner was over we made our way to the Revolving bar and the city view was amazing!
I had my birthday dinner here with a couple of friends and the restaurant is amazing! dineLA was doing a 3-course meal for only $49.00 and it was definitely worth it. The view was spectacular and the food was amazing. Our server was great. Definitely coming back.
Great !!! To celebrate special occasion
The view was really nice and the service was awesome. Very thoughtful server and very helpful. My boyfriend and I ordered steak and lamp. They were really good. My boyfriend said it was the best steak he had ever tasted.
Great night out, very nice decor and lighting, great place for a date or anniversary celebration. Service was very good, the food does cost a lot but well worth it cooked perfectly. If you ever want to lash out in LA this is the place.
The steaks were superb and cooked to perfection. Service was impeccable. Prices are expensive but not unreasonable. I would go back.
Our waiter was great and very attentive. The view was beautiful and location of our table was perfect. It was a perfect evening with my family.
Service was sub par. Didn’t crumb scrape the table unless asked. Didn’t provide fresh pepper unless asked. Packed up leftovers in one box when specifically requested to keep them separate. High end steak house prices with the service and food quality that didn’t match. Oysters didn’t taste very fresh, the rib eye steak wasn’t well marbled tasted more like a New York cut . The lighting was too bright , slightly darker lighting would have improved ambience.
Top 5 steaks I have had in my 40+ years.
I made a reservation for July 4th for two at 8:15pm. I knew the sun would set around 8:30 and we'd have prime viewing of all the fireworks while we ate dinner. Unfortunately, when we arrived, no table was ready and once we were taken to one, it was a HUGE table for a party of 8 people. To make matters worse, the table was behind a cabinet and concrete pole and on a side of the building that just stared directly at other taller buildings. Not really what I had in mind for a nice July 4th with my mom. The hostess was pretty polite when I mentioned this but did say that since the fireworks had started, the tables they thought would be available weren't leaving. While I understand that's not their fault, I did make a reservation for a certain time and would like to enjoy the (expensive) dinner I was prepared for with at least a bit of a view. We only had to wait about 20 more mins for a fantastic table with a great view. After being seated, the service and food were great! The way the beginning of the night was handled just soured me a tiny bit.
We chose this top floor restaurant for dinner on July 4 because we wanted to view the fireworks. Once we got seated, all was good, but it was quite arduous to find the elevator and then after checking in with our reservation we were ignored and left standing in the foyer without explanation for 10 minutes until we asked why we were waiting. Once seated, the service was polished, portions ample, and the meat was especially high quality and well prepared, as expected in a steak house. The Brussels sprouts were overly salty but all else was fine, if uninspired. Nice selection of wines by the glass, and the pours were generous.
If you are going for the views, note that there are taller buildings blocking the view from some tables; those who make their reservations far in advance will get tables with the best view. Also, if you are not familiar with the bewildering and maze-like layout of the Bonaventure Hotel, be sure to allow extra time to find the correct stairs, escalators and elevators.
I have waited a year to come to LA Prime and it was worth the wait. Service was wonderful, food excellent!
What a place. the view is outstanding. Food was beautifully presented with outstanding service!
Impeccable service, great food and wine. Dining view from the 35th floor was OK but the restaurant was not revolving as noted on their website. (We looked at one building all night.) Our waiter was exceptional as was the staff. Glad they comped parking! I would go back again!
This restaurant has great views, delicious food, excellent service and potent cocktails. The bone marrow appetizer was one of the best I've ever had. I will gladly eat here again.
My goddaughter and her friends had a wonderful experience with dining, atmosphere and service. A dinner they will never forget.
I took my wife to LA prime today for our anniversary and Norma was our server. It was our first time dining there and she made us feel very comfortable. She was absolutely amazing starting us off with a glass of wine to speaking with us at the end and wishing us a wonderful life together. It would be my pleasure to dine there again would also be a blessing if she were to serve us again.
Our waiter Mark was the best. The food was amazing and the scenic view was spectacular.
THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT, THE DRINKS WERE GREAT AND SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. I HAVE TO COMMEND BLAKE AND THE OTHER STAFF FOR THEIR INCREDIBLE ATTENTION TO DETAIL. THE VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR AND I BELIEVE IT IS ONE OF THE MOST INCREDIBLE VIEWS AND ALL ANGELENOS SHOULD VISIT, AS WELL AS ALL VISITORS TO LOS ANGELES. LA PRIMES BE CONSIDERED AN AMBASSADOR FOR THE CITY
Amazing food and atmosphere! Always a great place for a nice dinner.
Food was mostly good. Very nice waitress. Pricy for the quality of the food (baked potato was raw in the middle). Very warm temps made dining uncomfortable. We left pretty quickly and barely touched our meal. Decor is looking old and tired. Later saw we were charged for food we didn’t order but received a text from our waitress that she had caught the mistake. Disappointing for an anniversary meal.
I've been here at least 20 times. I've always enjoyed service view and food. this is the first time our food was not cooked right . My steak was completely burnt and so was my girlfriends. Food was not prepared as we ordered it.
Delicious dinner i love it the view was really nice although they need a place were people can see the view is a really great place.
Had a great time, i was there Saturday night and i was impressed with the service. Food was good Our waiter was awesome, i believe his name was Alexis. Very intimate place and good for a date, I’ll be back for sure!
Took my wife here for her birthday dinner was a great place. We arrived early to go the floor beneath for the rotating floor it's was a nice experience.
Dinner was perfect!! It is a bit pricey but Honestly was worth the splurge. For our appetizer we had The Pacific Prawn Cocktail came with four shrimp but they were huge! The Entrees are just entrees no side you must order the side if you want.
Our steak were cooked just how we asked I had a Primal Cut New York Wet Aged 14oz medium done
She had Center Cut Filet Mignon 10oz medium also with one side Sea Salt Baked Giant Potato.
One last thing If you decide to go VALET PARK it's free with the validation from the restaurant so valet park.
Great service, incredible food, and wonderful views. If you prefer to have a quiet experience just ask not to be seated next to a large table of people as it is sectioned off into multiple areas surrounding the building.
It was a great time and I will definitely go there again.
Our Server Blake made our experience an amazing one! Thank you Blake I will be returning thanks to you & the wonderful food
I love the views and service. However, I ordered 3 pound lobster and it costs $85 but it tasted really robbery. it is really disappointing since I had good impression very first time. I don't recommend the lobster but friends ordered ribeye and they love it.
Our server was Norma and she not only provided excellent service but gave a great experience. The food was excellent.
old and comfort. in front of our table there are high buildings. poor viewing.
Service - Our waiter, Barrett, was really friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable.
Food - We had the salmon and the sea bass. Both were excellent. The salmon was a bit fishy, but the sea bass was flawless.
View - Great views of the entire city!
Parking - It's valet only. Don't forget to validate your ticket...then it's free! Of course, don't forget to tip the valet guys!
Price - A bit on the expensive side, but worth it. This was our second time and will definitely go again.
Great food great place to go and enjoy. I would recommend it to anyone that wants good food with a good view
Service was imcredible. Took us in right away. Food was delicious and view was incredible!! Great for the occasion!!
