During the pandemic, reserved for my 30th birthday with my boyfriend and it was magical. Sat on the terrace with a rainstorm on the horizon, celebrating with our masks on and enjoying every minute of our drinks and meal!
I have a 4 letter word for this place. Yuck! We came here after a long day of hiking and were very hungry. We got seated right away, and even though we had a reservation, it took about 10, 15 minutes for the waitress to greet us. I ordered wine (can’t mess that up) and my husband ordered a margarita. Drinks were fine. When it came time to order, the waitress seemed to rush us. She didn’t recommend any dishes, nothing. I think she was one of the worst servers we’ve ever had, and we’re foodies and dine out often, so there’s a lot to compare it to.
I ordered bison tacos and my husband had the filet enchiladas. When the food arrived, my rice was hard and the tacos were lukewarm and had an unpleasant, bland taste. Even though I was hungry, I could not stand to eat more than 1 bite of my taco. Hungry, I tried my husband’s enchilada. My husband’s filet looked and tasted like a flank steak. The only thing that tasted good on his plate was the spicy hominy.
The executive chef came to our table and offered to make sea bass; he said his line cooks made our food and was apologetic. While we waited for sea bass, he brought over a crab cake that had a nice presentation but when I bit into it, part of my bite was cold. At that point, we left. What an awful dining experience. I would not recommend this place to my friends, family, or strangers.
I usually try to avoid hotel restaurants, but after getting several recommendations we decided to try it out. The sea-bass and filet were fantastic and full of flavor! The chef even came out to talk to us. Would highly recommend.
Just superb service and food. A small menu but creative, perfectly executed and presented in mouthwatering fashion. The Chilean sea bass with lemon lacquer , sweet oea purée and Morels was the best fish dish I have eaten in a decade. A symphony of flavors, complements and contrasts, and textures
We really enjoyed our evening here. The food was delicious and the service very good.
The host was preoccupied with being entitled and arrogant , otherwise the food was amazing , lots of it . Avoid the male host at all costs , if you’re old average American going to dinner you’ll be sat in the closet . First time this has ever happened to me .
Always excellent! My husband and celebrated our anniversary in style at La Plazuela.
Great service and setup during COVID. Always enjoy coming here from a trip out of state.
Even with the limited menu, the selections were adequate. My sea bass was some of the best fish I have ever eaten. My wife's petit fillet was excellent. Service was exceptional.
My husband and I wanted to take our daughter somewhere special and La Plazuela was perfect. Lovely ambiance, delicious food, and wonderful waiters.
Didn't know what to expect with all of the restrictions in place but found that the staff was up to the task. Food was fantastic as always and they offered a nearly full menu (I did long for the table side guacamole but that will have to wait. Two breakfasts, one dinner and zero disappointment. Thank you.
Our server, Caroline, was as amazing as the food amd ambience!
Our family had an amazing evening at La Plazuela on Father's Day. The service was top notch, our server (female with reddish long hair) was the best we have had in Santa Fe - perfectly attentive, fun and professional. Food was excelent and we will definitely be returning!
Good variety of New Mexico and other dishes. Tortilla soup is a great small dish if you are not real hungry as well as the caesar salad.
The food was exquisite! Chef Olea greeted us as we entered and checked on us frequently during the meal. The flavors he has created are outstanding. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The total experience was one will we remember!
Overall we were very pleased & enjoyed our dinner!
The Sea Bass was the best fish dish I have ever had in my almost 50 years!
Very nice dinner. Nice atmosphere, and friendly staff. Enjoyed our dinner!
Delicious gazpacho and tortilla soups. Awesome Buffalo tacos needed a side of the great sauce in them. Filet was perfect. Crepes in the raspberry enchilada dessert were too dry. Always our fav spot!
This place was so delicious and beautiful. A nice lovely dinner when I was in town. The food was delicious and flavorful. I would recommend in a heartbeat.
Amazing food and absolutely a kid friendly restaurant!
It was great to be back! Food was awesome and they did everything right to keep things clean and safe.
First meal on Wild West Vaca started with superb Southwestern cuisine. The setting is worth the visit but add the fine dining service and experience with some of the best and unusual dishes adds up to an unforgettable dinner. Who would ever thought the corn fungus and barley cake would taste so delish. Chili Rellenos w Christmas sauce too.
Food was fantastic, service was outstanding, sanitized perfectly. Highly recommend this for a wonderful and romantic experience. Keep up the great experience. Will return often.
Best meal I’ve had in a while, everything was delicious. We had the crab cakes and margaritas to start. Our entrees were delicious, my husband had the enchiladas and I had one of the chef’s specialty dishes. Will be back!
Amazing experience for the whole family. Thank you!
Nice place to have dinner. Good atmosphere, good food, good service
Celebrating two birthdays. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was very good and the food is consistent and good. It is also our favorite restaurant for breakfast in Santa Fe
The food was very good and the service was wonderful.
It was all good, but the food only average. Lovely setting and good service. Main course of fajitas let it down.
Dinner at La Plazuela is always a pleasure. The food and wine offerings are consistently very good. While never hovering, the servers are pleasant and attentive. It is one of our favorite dining destinations in Santa Fe. For just the two of us or when entertaining friends, it is such a pleasure to visit without virtually screaming over other diners or music that is unsuitable (for the setting) and/or far above ambient levels.
We never miss an opportunity to dine at La Plazuela 😎
The food and service were supreme. Our server has been with the restaurant for over 30 years and sang the praises of her employer, was exceedingly attentive and friendly, and knew the menu upside down and backwards so could recommend dishes that absolutely met our needs and requirements.
Very good food in a historic setting. Excellent service
For the price, you can find the same level of food in Santa Fe with better service. However, the atmosphere is lovely.
The food, service and atmosphere is on point! We have visited twice this year and will again.
I would think this restaurant would do a better job of scheduling reservations as it's been in business a long time; we arrived 10 min early but were seated 20 min past our reservation time - and we weren't the only group seated late. The place is lovely*, and the food was quite good (although the black beans were undercooked and not seasoned), but it is over priced. The service was fairly attentive, and the food did come out on nice hot plates. I had the chile rellenos, and they were very tasty. Everyone seemed to be happy with their meals. I know they won't change them, but the chairs are built for giants. I am 5'2", short but not tiny, and me feet did not touch the floor at all - quite uncomfortable along with the straight up and down backs on the chairs. *I noticed that they had set up tables on the outside of the room in the hotel's corridor by open areas looking into the atrium. I would not have been amused if I were seated in the hall; the atmosphere is a big part of the draw. I doubt if I would go back on a return trip to Santa Fe.
Friwndly service. Nice setting. So so food overpriced for the setting / quality.
