La Pecora Bianca - NoMad
Book your next event with us
Host would not seat two of us at 10mins to our reservation time, even though there were 3 empty tables of 2. We ended up sitting at 905pm at a table that had been open since 840pm. And, only after we went up to ask again to be seated. Bar tender and servers were absolutely amazing though and the food is always great
Great meal and service! Our waiter Carlos was fantastic!
Adrian our waiter was phenomenal. He realized our kids had beat us down and did everything to make sure our experience was awesome and our kids were happy
This was our second dining experience at Le Pecora Bianca, and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, the pasta was fresh and delicious, and the beverage selection was vast and varied. This is definitely a go-to spot for us in NYC. Highly recommended.
The truffle honey and ricotta did not work at all. Classic example of chef over compensating for originality with truffles. The pesto and mushroom Campanelle was also poorly conceived as the flavor pairing proved incompatible and the pesto lacked parmigiana which gives it the salty tang and was the consistency of green foam. I don’t think the chef actually tries the food but the prime location and earlier reputation still keep the restaurant packed, despite the substandard quality of the food.
Very good Italian place with nice dishes
Very friendly staff
Certainly good food and a recommendation
Excellent outstanding top notch . Each dish was really good. Fairly priced. Great service. I will be back soon!
This was our second time at La Peccorab
The food and drinks were delicious! And the bottomless Bellini special at brunch was a great deal! But our server was MIA for about 30 min when we were looking to get another round. I don’t know if this is a tactic to get people to drink less of the bottomless or what but it was very frustrating. We asked like 3 other people if we could get our server or another round before they came. And there were only 3 of us!
We went here for our anniversary dinner and it was great! The food is amazing! The drinks are amazing! Great service!
Bad service and bad food relative to the price.
Wow italian has new life here. Even the tried and true have a charm to it. Tasted like it was made in a small kitchen.
Apps were delicious and food was heartwarming.
The meat and cheese board was great. The service was attentive but not overbearing. Overall a solid dining experience.
Server weren’t attentive
The food was interesting, fresh and delightful. Nice wines too. The service, especially for a very hectic lunch crowd, was great. Both the persons who seated you, the servers and the bus people were all very good and right on target. This restaurant is very well managed -- and pretty. Yes, it is noisy but the rest balances that out unless you're really sensitive to noise or need to have a quiet meeting.
Excellent and innovative food. Prompt and professional service. But a bit noisy at lunch - look into sound management measures like foam under tables and such.
Not so great
The food was ok
Lovely restaurant with delicious food and an excellent wine selection. Our waiter and the manager were fantastic. The bartender seemed pretty tightly wound, but anyone could be having a moment.
The only negative I would say was the charcuterie and cheese selection was pretty underwhelming. I like that it was a small selection and not a laundry list of all things cured, but I would like to see some more interesting options.
First time taking baby out to a restaurant and using high chair (7 months old). Host was super accommodating about stroller (didn’t make me fold it, wheeled it into a back room as-is). High chair was ready and brought to table before we were seated. The place was packed at 1pm and so very LOUD, was tough for the grandparents but not unbearable. Service was fine, our server was in training and very earnest, his mentor was doing a good job teaching him. Food was solid. Better than I remember from my visits when it first opened. Would go again with the kiddo, really grateful that management and staff were so easygoing in accommodating us.
We have eaten here several times over the years - it has been reliable, good food, fun energetic atmosphere, reasonably priced for Manhattan. Good service and friendly but they do keep moving: dithering over the menu without actually asking questions prompted a ‘I’ll be right back’ as the waiter moved on to other tasks and returned a few moments later. We had fun and will be back.
Good without being exceptional. Octopus and cauliflower appetizers were good. Pasta ok. Rose ok.
The waitstaff is incredibly attentive - you barely have time to blink before a water glass is refilled or empty plates cleared before fresh plates and silverware arrive. The food was excellent and very fresh. Really authentic Italian dishes The wines were also excellent as were the Negronis to start. Fantastic place to enjoy a nice dinner out!
Hostess made me wait for my guest to arrive even though I had a reservation and the restaurant was empty at the time.
We were rushed from the second we sat down.
Our food came seconds after ordering it. The staff hovered, removing drinks and food before we finished.
They clearly wanted to move the tables and weren’t coy about doing so.
We had to ask for a dessert menu. The server looked bummed about that.
The manager and hostess were walking around checking each table to see who would be done soon.
It was a horrible experience. The food was okay but the feeling of being pushed out ruined the whole experience. We will not go back!!!
We had an 8:15pm reservation. Our entire party was there by 8:18 and we weren't seated until 8:45am. The hostess was abrupt and continued to say we were next and to wait at the bar despite sitting 4 parties before us include a walk-in party of the same size (the group told me they were a walk-in). For entrees we ordered 2 bolognese and 1 pork chop. The pork chop was delicious but the pasta had clearly been sitting for 10 minutes plus before being served. The decor of the restaurant was fantastic and our server was great but everything else was mediocre or disappointing. I am NOT a complainer as I worked in restaurants and hotels for 10 years but I was really looking forward to this experience and was disappointed.
We went for Father’s Day. I ordered the Chicken paillard. It CRME hard and rubbery. Instead of re-cooking it , they asked me to order something for else. Hardly apologetic or sincere and didn’t offer to comp a drink.
I will not be back. Very average food and service.
Great place! very good pasta!
Rude uncommunicative staff. Upset that I didn’t order food and wanted me to sit in cafe area if I wasn’t only ordering coffee despite the fact that I had made a reservation
seated promptly and service was impeccable. the clam linguine was delicious 💯👌🏻 great for friends get together or date night, highly recommend 🤗
A great spot to catch up with friends! Food, drinks and service...incredible!
Very good. I would love to see more gluten-free options (i.e. bread/buns).
Very cute place with nice atmosphere and decor. The food was absolutely delicious and service was great! The noise level was pretty high, but otherwise everything was great. Will definitely be coming back
I loved Nico who was our waiter.
They accommodated an extra guest I didn’t expect.
I’ll be back
Food was excellent. Staff was more excellent.
Great lunch occasion at the restaurant. Service was excellent and friend, food was very good. Two small tweaks: firstly, the piece of salmon over my Toscan kale salad was just a minute cooked too long. The salad itself was perfect. Second, we were there during lunch rush and after 50 minutes, I felt ever so slightly the pressure to give up the table. I would def go back.
Normally I love everything about La Pecora Bianca but this particular time was not good at all. The AC was broken so it was 100 degrees in there. The place was packed so the service was super slow. We kept asking for ice so we could cool down and it was always forgotten. The food wasn't as good as usual overall but especially the pasta because it was so overcooked. This is usually one of my favorite restaurants but I was honestly embarrassed I planned my friend's birthday dinner there.
Made a reservation for 8:45 and wasn’t seated until 9:15. After asking the male maitre’d twice when we could sit he offered us outside (it was cold out) or to sit at the bar. He gave the sense that our inquiries were an annoyance to him and that he couldn’t possibly be bothered to attend to guests who were trying to eat on a normal timeframe. What’s the point of a reservation?
The female maitre’d tried to cover up her coworker’s blatant rudeness by being overly nice and having our table served asap but it couldn’t really save the fact that we waited a half hour to eat cold meatballs and subpar pasta.
This place used to be great- feel like it got too big for its britches
The interior of the restaurant is nice, food was good, service was quick. However the restaurant has such a bad aucoustics and loud heavy music that it was not a pleasant dinner. We could not hear each other talk.
Food is great, service was caring but not overbearing. My friend and I stayed quite a while on a busy weekday evening, and were not pushed to leave (or have dessert before we were ready, etc).
My only concern is the "typical NYC" noise level - ridiculously loud!
Very small portions.
