Brunch was great. Food was so fresh and full of flavor
Such a fun place for drinks and dinner. The host and waiter were very attentive and checked in often. The mojitos were fabulous and all of the food was delicious. Great people watching in the middle of East Village.
The food was delicious and the service and atmosphere were fantastic. The pricing structure and brunch menu pricing were not clear and misleading.
Great food! Quiet toward the end of our visit but louder when we got there around 3. Great portion size for the drinks.
The tacos were phenomenal
One of the best restaurant experiences I've had since the beginning of the pandemic. So glad this amazing restaurant is still around!
The food was absolutely delicious and the waiters were amazing! Will definitely be coming back soon!
Great brunch menu and drinks! Food and service are top notch!
Plastic utensils and cups
Food great. Servers great. Backyard seating not truly outdoors, so be aware.
Great food and yummy margaritas! Would go back again.
It was extremely loud and the place looked a little too packed for covid restrictions. We enjoyed the service and the staff was apologetic about the noise. Food came out quick, drinks were okay, but food was unremarkable.
Guacamole and Margaritas are fantastic!
Everything else is subpar. The meat was very dry and the corn tortilla holding it completely fell apart (ironically from moisture).
The outdoor dining could use some work. The tables are dirty, on unleveled ground with less than one heater per table. If they just put one less table and clean them between guests I think it would make a big difference.
Awesome experience to bring your friends and hangout. My friend is a food reviewer and she was blown away by the food..
Service was absolutely amazing. Went for brunch alone, got the huveos rancheros and now I can’t stop thinking about it! Michelada’s were 🔥. Can’t wait to come back to NY so I can come here, will be bringing friends this time!
We booked a reservation for inside yet they placed us on the back patio on a 16 degree evening with not a single heater.
La Palapa is one of my favorite spots for margaritas. Happy they have been able to stay open throughout the pandemic. I do miss their happy hour specials but I understand they are not able to offer that at this time. Maybe some options such as ordering a pitcher of margs? They had them before but we were not offered that this time. Food is consistently good and that hasn’t changed.
Noise level was terrible! The people behind us were screaming and we’re so loud! I get that it’s a fun place but it’s disruptive to other guests who just want to enjoy a meal and good drinks. Also guests getting up to use the restrooms didn’t put their masks back on and no one was enforcing that. Overall a great experience but hopefully they can somehow control the noise level and enforce wearing a masks when guests are not at their table.
Great food, on second day of opening after the pandemic! Will visit again!
Went for a valentines brunch, I feel like it was overpriced and the margaritas had no alcohol? But the backyard was cute and the good was good
A1 service and the tacos were delicious
Great brunch specials. The food is authentic and excellent. The margaritas pack a punch!
Great service, incredibly accommodating with our reservation for a large group and all our orders, food was excellent and the staff was very kind.
Excellent food! Amazing service. The manager even came over to speak to us which was really nice. Will definitely be back.
Had delicious food and margaritas! I love this place!
Everything was great, the chips and salsas, guacamole, pozole, quesadillas, tacos, jalapeños toreados, and the frozen margaritas, so generous. The waiter, and bartender who greeted you in and out of the bathroom were so nice, so chill. Chill it gets in the street hut, so, bundle up. Though it was nice they didn't have music, the patrons can be loud aggressive Virus irresponsible, but the partitions between tables were placed with careful consideration and the staff's COVID awareness made us comfortable. It's the kind of place where you want to try everything on the menu in the slow hours, the food delicious and unpretentious, and we will!
More heat in the backyard if possible during the pandemic. Otherwise, great experience.
I came in for a quick dinner, service was exceptional just like it was in my wedding. When I got married in the city we went for dinner after the wedding and it was the best service. Every time I go to the city I visit this restaurant.
Terrific food, excellent margaritas, great service and festive ambience.
Made a resy for indoor bu
Amazing food, incredible margaritas, friendly staff. Had an amazing time with a 6-person group. They have a cute patio at the back with heating lamps! Highly recommend! Get the guacamole!
I've been going to this restaurant for years -- I even got married here 17 years ago. The food, service and overall high quality experienced has not changed. Enjoy the Tres Leches cake - it was my wedding cake! Highly, highly recommend.
AMAZING!! Great service
Thank you!
Great atmosphere, relaxed setting- good food for a fair price!
Tacos and quesadillas were all incredible, and the drinks hot the spot. Thanks for a great meal and warm hospitality!
Fantastic food and great service, as always... Richard made it a special night as always. Terrific margarita, too. Can’t wait to go again soon.
Absolutely terrible service. Waiter brought out 2 items incorrectly and the tres leche desert was one of the worst cakes I’ve ever had. The waiter also charged us for an extra item we did not order. One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had during the pandemic, both my date and I said we would tell everyone we know to never come here.
Great food, and tasty margaritas -- if a little expensive. But overall one of my fave Mexican restaurants!
Food was salty. Pitcher of Sangria was missing fruits. Decor was okay.
Very good food, efficient reservation system. Mole enchiladas were excellent.
Best brunch in NYC. Great food options and excellent margaritas that pack a punch.
