Delicious food, nice ambiance, superior service, excellent dining experience. I love it!

Three of our group of four chose from the 4-course $40 price fixed menu. Sometimes the servings on a multi-course menu are puny, but these were not: all found it more than ample amount of food. The choices were also uniformly very good (although the pan seared trout really stood out). The fourth person had a risotto that she said was excellent... and she took nearly half of it home.

I am impressed. From the salad dressing to the arancini to the entrees. Delicious. My new favorite restaurant. Try it. I dont think you will he disappointed.

Great food

This is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to. Creative bold flavors. Prepared perfectly. Super attentive wait staff. This place is superb. Whenever in Brookline we will ALWAYS go there.

Of course everyone in our party shares and tastes everyone else’s orders. There was not a single order that I did not find impressive in flavor, plating and creativity. It was a pleasure all around. If everyone knew how good this place is, there’d be a line out the door.

We chose this restaurant because of its proximity to Homewood Suites where we were staying. I was able to get a quick reservation even on a Friday evening. Service was friendly but on the slow side. Menu was small but everyone found something. The upstairs room was extremely packed in & noisy.
But I enjoyed the food so would return

This was a very good experience. We played it safe and ordered the restaurant’s signature dishes...the meatball appetizer and the tagliatelle with meat sauce. The two types of meatball appetizers were both outstanding, maybe the best ever. The pasta was also very good.

Went for Easter Brunch had a very good waiter excellent service . Food was good. However it was not as special as we expected , brunch is not their specialty and they only do it a few times a year. The brunch consisted of 3 small plates :
Choice of appetizer , entree , desert . Small portions . The cost was $45 per person.
We are looking forward to going back to try their homemade pasta as somebody at my table had a homemade linguini with Bolognese sauce as their brunch entree and it was outstanding. The vibe in the place is welcoming and old school . The restaurant is an Old Brownstone 2 floors . Authentic Italian . It’s got a great smell . It has character .

Food is always amazing and won’t break the bank.

We sat at the bar and Brian was very helpful and knowledgeable with the food and wine menus. From our seats in the bar we were able to see a chef that was making salads. We were horrified as she was mixing the salads in a bowl with her bare hands and then tasting the salad with her hands and then again mixing the salad. Needless to say we passed on the salad options. We did order the arancini which they said came out but not to us. They did finally send out the order and they were good. My husband had the bolognese which was ok and nothing to rush back for. I had the bucatini and clam sauce which was flavorful but dry.

It was a busy night but once we got seated the service and food were exceptional.

We went to La Morra because it was the closest place for late night dining near the Homewood Suites hotel, and we were very pleased with the food and the service. It's not an inexpensive option, and since it was late, we opted for small plates rather than the full course meal. We left satisfied and full, and if we are in the area again, we would definitely go back for a full meal.

If you are salt deficient, or if you are in a bad relationship you want to end and your partner has heart issues, I would highly recommend that you frequent La Morra. "Throat-burning". That's the best way to describe each morsel. Please order pitchers of water as soon as you are seated. Keep your fitbit set to its most sensitive setting, and get set for a swell-ing evening!

From the moment you you walk through the door you realize your in a popular local spot with tables full of customers and an active bar. We were greeted immediately, coats hung up and on our way upstairs to the main dinning room on time. We were surprised & happy to find out it was Restaurant Week in Boston. Both the regular dinner menu & RW menu were provided and we were pleased to see a (4) course meal @ $38 ea. on the RW menu.
The Wine Flight was an additional charge.
Our Selections:
1- Bruschetta & Artichoke Salad, 2-Rigatoni & Risotto 3-Hanger Steak & Stuffed Cabbage, and 4-Blueberries & Cream and Black Forest Cake + Coffee. All delivered with ease and professionalism by a wait person that valued our business. Plus everything came out of the kitchen prepared properly with tastes that lasted to the next course and beyond. Glass of Italian wine; San Luigi Dolcetto & Braida Il Baciale - What more can one require from a restaurant!
(OK lowering wine prices in restaurants would be nice but that's for another time)

We enjoyed the special menu very much. LaMorra is a new favorite!

We always enjoy the choices, quality, value, and excellent food at La Morra. On this trip, we were unaware that it was Boston Restaurant Week, and the wide range of options and value were even more of a pleasant surprise. Cocktails and wine list are well thought out and add to the experience. Our waiter Michael and other staff were attentive and offered helpful suggestions, though we never felt rushed. We always feel welcome there, which is important to us. We would always recommend this place.

I have been to La Morra several times and the food is always good. The ambiance is charming, cozy and quiet. This occasion was for my brothers birthday, which happened to be restaurant week in Boston. The whole menu was available for a 4 course special, so we tasted soup, appetizers, pasta, risotto and four main courses, all of which were delicious.

Visited for girls night during Dine Out Week. The service was great. A cozy little restaurant with an upstairs dining area as well. Perfect ambience for a small intimate gathering of 6, maybe 8, or a romantic date night. Not the best place for kids. The food was wonderful. I recommend the cornish hen with polenta. The champagne sorbet is definitely a must try!! Unless their menu changes. Either way, I will surely be coming back.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and decided restaurant week would be a good time to try it out. It was a four course menu which we thought was a great deal but the portions were incredibly small.

The starter was fine, I got bruschetta...hard piece of bread with arugula, nothing that stood out. For the next course I ordered bucatini with braised octopus and clams ($6 surcharge for the braised octopus)...they used squid and there was no octopus in the dish. We sat around for about an hour before our next dish came out...cold. I ordered steak that was so tiny...4oz at best and was so cold. We waited for the course for so long I'm sure it was just sitting out for a while.

The staff never kept us updated on where the food was but did bring us a free round of desert wine because we were obviously unhappy. We really appreciated that - then the desert came out which was good so things were looking up. We then get the check and noticed our bottle of wine was a higher price than what we ordered. I raised this to the waitress and she said they ran out of what I ordered so gave us a more expensive bottle.....she actually expected us to pay for it. They did end up correcting it for us and after a very long 3 1/2 hour meal we left and won't return.

Always excellent during Restaurant Week. Very good quality and variety. A little chilly on the first floor in this March weather.

Great Food and Service as usual ... A tad noisy though ... I still love the food

A fantastic meal! Had a reservation for a table for 2, arrived early, was offered seats at the bar for drinks. Our bartender (Ryan) was so pleasant and helpful that we decided to stay the entire meal in our bar seats. The food was fantastic, and arrived in succession, divided up into two equal plated parts for us to share. Great ambiance, overall a wonderful experience.

The decor was amazing, staff was awesome and I recommend their mojitos. The food was great too, get the chocolate cake desert. Amazing.

Four of us died here during Dine Out week. We all had the special four course Dine Out menu which was perfect for the women but one of the guys was still hungry after the small portions. Two had the wine pairing flights which were excellent. The homemade past is divine. The swordfish and Haddock specials were excellent.

I have dine at La Morra for a work group dinner upstairs and was very impressed with the service and the amazing quality of the food! This time it was for a very special personal occasion and it was also restaurant week! We had dinner downstairs this time. The customer services was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious!! The four course menu choice was awesome! The wine selection was great too! Can't wait to go back!

The food was excellent, the waiter was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere is cozy, the wine list is original, it's a great spot for innovative Italian dining.

La Morra is a fantastic restaurant, we have been several times during the last few years, most recently we went for Boston's Dine Out -- formerly called Restaurant week, it was wonderful, some restaurants skimp during this promotion, not so La Morra, the food was creative, plentiful and delicious!

La Morra is an unobtrusive treasure. The food is exquisitely prepared, ranging from exotic options, such as the sage leaves fried with anchovies (small, tasty crisp bites) to familiar Italian specialties such as risotto (exceptionally creamy and studded with mushrooms.) The wait staff know their wine list well. We chose wine flights to accompany the restaurant week menu. That happy coincidence made the dinner inexpensive but other weeks it is very reasonable. Yes, parking is a challenge but rise above it! For a quiet, delicious meal, try La Morra.

A group of friends went for and all had the Dine Out Boston week fixed price menu ($38). It was an excellent value and the best Restaurant Week menu I have seen this year , There were 4 courses with 4-5 options for each course as well as other items on each course with a slight up charge. The servings were generous for a tasting menu and the quality of the food and presentation was excellent.

The service from the bartender , a very friendly and informative native Londoner who provides samples tastes and guidance on wine by the glass as well as the several craft beers on tap, to our server who was friendly and attentive but never intrusive, was excellent.
The pastas were all fresh made and delicious and the ragu was particularly authentic and outstanding. The wood grilled swordfish with mussels, roasted garlic and black lentils was a great main course and we finished with a chocolate black forest cake and coffee. A very enjoyable evening of good food, wine, and atmosphere well worth the visit

Love La Morra. It would take a pretty big catastrophe to change that. Normally everything feels special, but this time, on a Sat night, the service was only fair. We were left alone a lot, server didn’t seem to have expansive knowledge of the menu, and timing just felt off in comparison with previous visits. It wasn’t terrible by any means but just gave me pause. Bolognese was spectacular as usual!

The food was great. I ate their three days in a row in order to try most of the menu. The kitchen was great, the staff extremely friendly. I would definitely revisit. Thank you

Outstanding as usual.

Haven't been there in ages. Convenient street parking on a Monday night. Upstairs room was quiet enough for easy conversation, which matters to me. We had salads and pasta entrees that were quite good (the latter a bit over-salted) and excellent value for money compared to the local competition. The wine list was particularly well represented with Italian reds of all varietals and some interesting blends. This is the sort of place I could go back to frequently - relatively simple, well prepared food and quiet but not at all stodgy atmosphere. I really liked that the entrees (at least the ones we had) offered mezzo portions.

The food was amazing. So delicious it tasted almost farm-to-table. Very fresh. I had such a hard time deciding what to order!!
