Josie and Arturo are awesome. best Italian joint in Miami Beach...nice atmosphere
Only trouble we had was with communication. We couldn't understand them well and they couldn't understand us, speaking English. Otherwise good and service were great.
Nice find for us when visiting in South Beach. Great oven for focaccia & pizza, interesting and tasty cuisine. Very friendly and super attentive service to our party of 4. We would definitely go back!
Personale gentile cibo buono considerando che siamo in America . Come essere in Italia anche se versano continuamente l’acqua è da un po’ fastidio
Poi tutto ok
A Very cozy restaurant with homemade Italian food really good, I always go there with my boyfriend when I want a quality meal.
The service was great , the time we wait for the food was nothing, really fast.
The prices are good, and so the portions of the food.
I really recommend this place.
Also the happy hour , is the best !!!!!!!!!
La Moderna is my favorite Italian restaurant when I am visiting Miami. They fo out of their way to accommodate my son's food allergies. Their pizza is prepared by a woman from Napoli and their fish is delicious.
Everything was great but I did not get my 100 points for reserving with Open Table.Fratelli La Buffalo and La Moderna restaurants , these two being sister restaurants , do not give the points when one reserves through open table. Very strange.
Despite reservation waiting 45´ before seated. Unpleasant service and dirty restrooms. Food was good.
We were supposed to have an enjoyable evening with a nice dinner.
The waiter and waitress were unfriendly and didn’t care about us as their guests at all.
The menu was only 50% available and the quality of the food was not great at all.
For me I will not recommend this restaurant at all!
Took an hour and a half to get the main course and it wasn’t worth the wait. The fish was dry and tasteless. The lasagna was mediocre. Another customer complained that the veal was all bread and no veal.
Stefan, the manager, knows how to make everyone comfortable, insures that you are a happy diner and is very quick to remedy any issue with food. I highly recommend the Branzino, one of my favorite dishes, always excellent. My friend had the grouper and it was delicious! One of Miami Beach's best restaurants!
Have been twice , once for Lunch & once for dinner , so far I have not been dissapointed !
The taste brings me back to Italy !
The Branzino al Cartoccio delicious !!
The “Fiorentina” just like I expected it to be !! The pasta dishes all have that Italian flavor in the sauce that reminds me of my cooking days in Italy !! so far a delight ! So happy for it & without being pretentious !! Worth the money & the trip to the Sobe to get good , tasty , Italian specialties & particular recipients like the way I cook at home!!
Overall it was a great experience! I suggest the pulpo! Perfect for a date dinner!
The service was really good, very friendly people, although I think the food is too expensive for what it is.
I was greeted by Stefano, the manager who was very polite and accompanied me to my seat. I came alone so I sat at the Bar. Andrea, also very polite, took my order. I had the Salmon Carpaccio followed by the Grilled Octopus tentacles with potatoes accompanied by a glass of Jankara Vermentino (Yum). The overall experience was excellent, i've eaten there before and never disappointed. If they could get some Gluten Free Bread, we're in business. Will definitely go back.
The server and manager/host were very attentive and professional. We were a little disappointed that a loud group dominated the restaurant to watch a soccer game but again the host was excellent at making sure we were taken care of. The bread was great and had a wonderful crust. The carpaccio was okay but the mustard dressing made it a little overpowering. The tuna tartare was good. The fried provolone was delicious though the greens were too bitter. We shared three pastas. The seafood paccheria was disappointing and lacked flavor; and kind of skimped on the seafood. The gnocchi bolognese was very tender but kind of boring given that it was only a meat sauce. The mushroom fettuccine was okay but kind of tasted like an “adult” version ramen noodles. The donuts were fine; but the cheesecake was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. The limoncello was a nice note to end the meal.
Excelente comida buen servicio lo recomiendo100%
Miami Spice and regular menu are excellent - service is good.
Visited La Moderna for the Miami Spice reviews. Did not dissapoint! Great service, relax and attentive, along with creative and delicious plates made up a great afternoon. It's location, with easy access to parking next door on this quite neighborghood of South Beach makes La Moderna a gem. Recommended!
Yes they are great, charming spot for many reasons.
Pizza is really a meal not just a pie Inf you know what I mean.
However the whole Italian Restaurant program is delicious n
delicious food with a kitchen that is willing to accommodate dietary preferences and needs
This restaurant never disappoints on any level. Definitely in my top 3 favorite Italian restaurants and vying for #1.
We had an incredible evening at La Moderna. The food was very good and the ambiance was nice for a friend's get-together. I recommend it!
The ambiance was awesome! Service was great considering we were a group of almost 20 people, appetizers were delicious and same goes for the bread... every one was talking about how delicious the bread was.
Everyone's main entree for the most part was perfect, but the folks that ordered the pizzas were not as excited. The pizzas were a slightly soggy and didn't really make it happen.
I would/will recommend many people I know to go and visit this new trendy place for some good eats but also enjoy a great urban bar scene.
All the best.
Excellent neighborhood gem. Authentic Italian. Highly recommend and great place for wine.
Another perfect meal at La Moderna. Authentic, flavorful dishes made and served as only Italians can. Stylish dining room. Casual elegance in food presentation, attention, and ambience. Consigliatissimo!
Intriguing menu was well executed.
Attentive but not intrusive wait staff
My go-to Italian in Miami. Amazing service, food and ambience. Love everything about la Moderna!
Always consistent - one of my favorite spots in Miami Beach.
One of our favorite local restaurants. Always consistently great food.
I'm a regular visitor to La Moderna because the food is consistently good and the service is always pleasant and attentive. This is my go-to restaurant whenever I have guests. Never fails to please.
Amazing drinks, pizza and service!
we had fabulous service, and food was nice, but I like a little more pizzaz, the food is nice and simple but not as gourmet ! pasta got cold quick, unfortunately we did not complain because we do not do this. But our waiter a+ very nice and attentive.
The place is great. Only knock is they asked if we want regular bread or foccacia and we took the focaccia and when the bill came we were charged $8.
The food was just kind of ok, nothing speacial at all and the service was terrible!
We were one of 4 tables on a quiet Tuesday night and we had to wave the waitress down if we wanted anything.
Will not be back. Ever.
The pizza dough was not cooked properly. The wine was overpriced.
This was our first time at La Moderna. It's sleek, modern, cozy and has a varied menu. We went in a group for Miami Spice but the cost of the food was so reasonable, and the food options so good, some opted to order a la carte. The service was exceptional. We took our own wine bottle and we were immediately brought a bucket of ice to put them in. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
The restaurant is nice, the service was good, the food was ok, the prices were high. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, but probably wouldn't go back anytime soon.
Very nice Miami Spice menu (quite a bargain compared with their ala crate pricing). Very good modern Italian restaurant with fresh pastas and nicely prepared meats and seafood, and an attractive bar. We dined early, so service was attentive and friendly. I will assume that carries over to busier times. We will add La Moderna to our in-season rotation.
Supposedly known for their pizzas, we decided to sample 2 of them and unfortunately, both were disappointing. The Capriccio, dissapointed as I am sure the summer truffles were not fresh and the center of the San Daniele pie was watered down. Our server, however, was great and very helpful in answering our menu questions.
I did notice that they do no offer their Miami Spice menu, unless you ask about it.
