Excellent- have not been in years and all four of us loved the food- will be returning.
definitely for an older crowd as the food is heavy, Alsatian style but well prepared.
This is a staple for the neighborhood...and has been there for ages.
The food is perfectly French and prepared exceptionally well. Ah, yes, the sweetbreads! Neither my husband nor I could resist them. In fact, that was the plan well before our arrival. They were lightly sauteed impeccably with the addition of lemon -- splendid. The oysters appetizer was ooh la la, and my husband loved the chicken liver appetizer. This is a full menu, and I am ready to return very soon. The ambiance and service add to the experience of the food. Oh, let me not forget the peach melba, which we shared. Please, do not consider this as just a neighborhood place; Mirabelle is worth your trip to the upper west side.
La Mirabelle never disappoints. Food and service are always excellent. Love this restaurant.
Neighborhood reliable gem.
Always a wonderful meal, delicious, well prepared, generous portions. The staff is attentive and kind and always makes you feel welcomed.
very nice owner run authentic french restaurant
Mother’s birthday. Food all superb. Not a good place if you are ina rush but we loved that we were not rushed through dinner. Food also all came out at same time and was hot. A favorite place in NYC!
A supremely delicious evening. Even though it was Thanksgiving my party of three all opted for the red
snapper and not the traditional turkey dinner. The restaurant was jam packed and we had to wait despite having reservations. But it was well worth it.
Wondrous classic French food
Service superb and a place where one can have good conversations
My neighborhood go to
Whenever I go to Mirabelle after not having eaten there in a week or 2, I always feel like I'm coming home. The warm welcome, hugs and smiles from everyone who works there!
My favorite French bistro on the Upper West Side. Great food, great service, very welcoming.
This is a “must” when I am in New York. Authentic French cooking in a neighborhood restaurant. Staff is always delightful!
Our go to restaurant for excellent food, generous pours of wine, and lovely wait staff who
Have been around for ages. Authentic French food , menu has something for everyone . Excellent specials. Family owned snd run a must go. And if you’re lucky One if the waitstaff May sing happy birthday in French to someone and you’d swear it was Edith Piaf!!
Food is really good ! Staff is friendly
Superb food. Service good
Classic French comfort food served without pretense and a welcoming ambiance.
This is a must for anyone longing for a superb traditional French meal, served by friendly, hard-working staff. The duck is amazing!
La Mirabelle never loses its charm! Classic French (try the frog legs!) and if you’re lucky, a beautiful version of La Vie en Rose ala Piaf will be sung.
Authentic and charming French bistro. Comfortable seating. There is a buzz in the atmosphere from local regulars but you can still have a quiet conversation. The food is never anything less than perfect. Can’t wait to go back!
A reliable and traditional French restaurant. Wonderfully friendly staff. An older clientele.
Another fine 9 o’clock dinner following astrophysics lecture at nearby AMNH. Shared bottle of Bordeaux, endive salad, sautéed chicken livers with wilted greens, steak au poivre, chocolate gelato.
La Mirabelle is a happy consistently good place for dinner.
Great food. Elegant but comfortable dining.
Always superb, in every way!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience--and the singing is also devine!
My friends and I had a delightful evening at La Mirabelle. My friends can be pretty fussy so the fact that they were so happy speaks well for the restaurant.
The drive from Westchester County to W.86th street was well worth it. La Mirabelle never disappoints.
Four of us had varied dishes from duck, sole, and cassoulet, to the swordfish special. All were
wonderful! This place is cozy and makes you feel that you are in a Parisian bistro. I highly recommend the
crispy duck, which is hard to find these days.
We enjoyed our pre-show dinner at LeMeribelle very much. The ambiance was very authentic & comfortable. The food was good. We had the monk fish & the duck, which we both liked. I really liked the endive salad & the scallop special. The staff was warm, friendly and efficient. I understand why they have a loyal following and LeMirabelle is considered a neighborhood gem.
Great restaurant with excellent service, ambiance and food.
French charm and authentic food. Quietest tables on upper level good for leisurely dining. Reasonable wine selections
My favorite restaurant in NY!
Wonderful food and gracious service. Lovely room.
Very generous steak au poivre, prepared just right. Halibut could have tasted fresher
If you desire Coq au Vin on Mondays be sure to reserve the dish when making the reservation as we had a 7:15 P. M. reservation but the dish was ‘sold out’
The mussels (moules) and frites were delicious though.
Charming little neighborhood gem. Staff was exceptional. Everything was cooked to perfection. Definitely will add to our favorites
charming neighborhood bistro with reliable and delicious food, very generous portions.
Live in the neighborhood and don’t come here often but that may change. On a Sat night five people had a relaxed dinner with quiet conversation. Everyone was happy with their food choices which included specials of butternut squash soup and beet salad and the Shrimp Scampi, salmon, pasta bolgnese and a halibut special. Everyone was happy with their choices and the service was good. Will definitely be back.
We love La Mirabelle! We have brought some friends there from time to time, and have also
recommended it to other friends who love it as well. Bravo for your menu, for your food, for your ambiance, for the wonderful staff.
One of the few fine restaurants left that serves the traditional French dishes from before the days of nouvelle cuisine. Pricy but delicious. Attractive dining room and particularly pleasant on the balcony.
Had a yen for shrimp scampi; my husband had sole Meunière on his mind - Mirabelle was THE place- both meals were fantastic, both w/ the shoestring fries. The restaurant maintains its French (but friendly!) ambiance.
This is by far one of the best restaurants I have ever had the pleasure of eating. We started going to this restaurant 28 years ago and have never been dissatisfied. Highly recommended.
