Stroll along 17th St., between Lighthouse and Laurel and you will find one of the Peninsula’s favorite spots, La Mia Cucina. This little jewel, with its fresh ambiance and tantalizing menu, is popular with everyone. The colorful European advertising posters that enliven the walls, are “originals, not reproductions.” That phrase is accurate in describing La Mia Cucina itself. From the comfortable linen white decor, accented beautifully by those turn-of-the-century posters, to the hand-crafted entrees and desserts, everything about La Mia Cucina says fresh and original. Owner Michael’s specialty, his ravioli dishes, are a renowned local favorite, and for good reason. They are hand made, with all the care that only a lifetime of creative food combining can bring. In addition to pasta, La Mia Cucina is known for it's fresh fish and meat specials. The desserts are made in-house by his wife Paula and daughter Michaela, and the service is personal and inviting.

Paula will greet you with a wonderful warm smile and a hug. They make you feel like friends from the first time you visit and every time thereafter. The whole restaurant works as a team and provide wonderful service. The waiters will help you with diet restrictions and most of the meals can be adjusted to meet your requirements. Friends, my wife, and I have tried many of the dinners, soups, and salads and had very enjoyable meals especially the veal and pasta dishes. In a town and area with many restaurants, you are a GEM, a diamond for everyone to enjoy.
I will be a regular and hopefully part of the family.
Thank you for the great food and atmosphere!!

I was personally disappointed that the Veal Marsala was SO sweet! I would recommend that they use a smoother, lighter, Marsala. It was overpowering. The soup was "OK", but again, did not impress. Could be a "cream " of Chicken Soup, with more flavor!! Not salt.....just "flavor".
My son enjoyed the Lobster Ravioli, and Chocolate cake. The cake was very good.

La Mia Cucina is a delightful restaurant in every way. My husband and I go there every year when we're on the Monterey Peninsula to celebrate our anniversary. Not only is the food positively scrumptious, from appetizers through the main course to dessert, but the owners and longtime wait staff could not be nicer or more attentive. Lovely wine list, too. We highly recommend it.

We had a great meal at La Mia Cucina last weekend. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The vibe of the restaurant was lively and pleasant. Both of our meals (we ordered the two specials of the day) were both terrific! We look forward to returning:-)

The food and service is always impeccable. The wine list has something for everyone. Don’t skip the desert all made in house from scratch. I had the carbonara pasta it was amazing. One of the best spots in pacific grove everything is fresh and made from scratch. I highly recommend you hit this spot if your in the area.

Really special place. Went to eat here for my birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. Our server Gabriel was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and I finished my whole meal (lobster ravioli) even though I was super full! Will definitely be stopping by here again.

Absolutely outstanding. From the time I called the host as for the reservation till the dessert excellent service and food was the best. Great crab cakes, salads, ravioli, lasagna, gnocchi. We had it all and it was great. Our first time, but not our last.

Our fourth time eating here, first review. Absolutely love this restaurant, everything from the welcoming, service, food and ambience is spot on. This husband and wife duo just get it. We both had the lasagna, and by our 6:45 seating, got two of the last three they had left. Not sure if we keep coming because of the food or the people, it doesn’t matter...we’ll keep coming.

Truly an awesome evening and meal. Personal service was impeccable. The menu incorporated imagination, old world style, sensational flavor and plenty of variety for our party of four. The owners/hosts are like family...even on your first visit. Highly recommended for a date or special evening out. Intimate setting and wonderfully artistic venue.

Upon arrival were greeted by a very warm and gracious hostess and that manner continued with the waiter and staff. The service through out was attentive and effortless. Raviolis were as light as clouds and delicious. Pastas, sausage, desert were made in house, again all delicious and tasty. The pound cake, which was the chef's home recipe had a wonderful flavor of sherry and spice...

The owner/greeter and wait staff were great this time. The entrees were delicious, the desserts good (chocolate cake and bread pudding) but not as fantastic as the entrees. The decaf cappuccino was very good.

Amazing fresh food! The focaccia bread to start followed by the salad with local fresh greens - I had the sand dabs which were light and tasty. The Nutella bread pudding was an awesome way to finish the meal.

We had a very enjoyable evening, the owners were there and made everyone feel welcome. A very pleasant ambiance, tables nice spaced so even though everyone was occupied we didn't feel squeezed at all, attentive server. Food was excellent, two of us had the lasagna special, one a vegetarian pasta and the fourth a steak. The deserts looked wonderful, but we were all full and passed. We will be back.

Took my wife for our anniversary. Food in general was quite good. Italian sausage, red sauce, salad with heirloom tomatoes were all fantastic. Creme brulee was average. Our server Giovanni was also spectacular. You could tell he has been doing this a while and made our special night even better.
