My daughter and I went in for lunch. We had a salmon and goat cheese appetizer that was delicious. We also had pink martinis. They were beautiful and delicious. I had a seafood crepe, and my daughter had a vegetarian crape. The portions were huge. No skimping here. The restaurant is quaint and does look like a French bistro. It was very comfortable. We enjoyed our lunch very much. We will be back.
Overall, it was a great experience! Great place for a date night! (:
I had excellent oysters and then Osso Bucco which was the special of the day. Too bad it isn’t always on the menu. It’s my favorite and it was seriously delicious.
It’s a charming little place with a friendly staff and generous pours of wine. I’m looking forward to trying more of there food. I will be back.
Despite pandemic challenges the restaurant continues on in fine form, service and food both very good and the whole dining experience is happily predictable (in the best use of the word).
Was hoping for more as I heard a ton of great things. The French onion soup lacked any type of flavor. Bull n’ Bush has better FO soup. Never came to refill our waters. Checked back on us once. Yeah the wine poor was generous, but it’s the food that was lackluster for me. I will most likely give it another chance and just order different items.
La Merise was amazing! Great ambiance, service was amazing, felt very welcomed and not rushed even with the time limit. 10/10 would recommend!
The inside makes you feel like in a small bistro in France. The food was amazing and the wine pour very generous. Great experience and would definitely go back!
The food was superb and the atmosphere is quaint. We had the mussels with tomato broth, eggs benefit and the salmon lox omelette. It was absolutely delicious and I can’t believe we hadn’t been to this gem before. There will surely be more visits again in our future!
Wonderful menu, excellent service, great bloody Mary's.
I love the restaurant generally, but can’t recommend it if the temp is below 40...
La Merise is one of our favorite restaurants in Cherry Creek for brunch. We have been there many times they were not 6 feet apart which we realized was because the heaters were placed in between the tables so they needed to be closer together because it is so cold outside. Hopefully now with indoor dining going to be allowed again it will be better. The food was very good. We highly recommend their French onion soup.
They tried to sit us two feet away from another couple and refused to allow us to sit at a different table because it was a four top. During our time there, no parties of four arrived and the tables sat empty until they sat a single person at one of the tables. This is the second time we’ve been there and both times have experienced horrible customer service.
The lamb was a tad fatty but best muscles I've ever had! Great service, great menu.
I've been to La Merise a few times since restaurants have to had to adhere to new Covid Safety protocol, and they are doing a great job. The patio is cozy and inviting with well-placed heat lamps. The menu is fantastic. Traditional French fare and very well-priced. Their wine list is well curated and also priced well. Service is always top-notch. Can't rave enough!
Fantastic! Always fantastic
This is a cozy, high quality french restaurant with great food, service, and ambiance. We dined on the below street patio on a cool Sunday night with a heater next to our table and we were quite comfortable.
Excellent food, service, ambiance and price. Not sure how I hadn’t found this place until now! Def will be back
Outstanding food with great service at a reasonable price.
We have been to la merise a dozen times and every time is amazing - but this visit was just above and beyond. The staff were so nice and helpful, our meal was amazing and their covid set up gives everyone their space while also maintaining a cozy french restaurant feel. So glad we went Christmas Eve and hope to make it a tradition in the years to come.
We enjoyed the great food and service. The heaters at each table outside made it very comfortable to eat outdoors.
Amazing food and wonderful service with reasonable prices
Birthday celebration outside was so festive!
Nice job. We are trying to help in any way we can as many restaurants...take out etc.
Fisherman Stew has excellent as it always has been
The food was impeccable. The restaurant is doing what it can for the ambiance, we had to eat outside and it was cold out. Service is a struggle for them with all diners outside, they seem to be trying, but service was a little slow. Did I mention the food was amazing!!!
As always wonderful.
We have been here several times since Covid as we want La Merise to succeed in spite of the tough times.
Excellent crepes - good heaters for patio dining
La Merise has done a wonderful job adapting their patio to accommodate eating outside in the fall/winter. We were there for lunch and the heat lamps kept us toasty warm. Food and wine were fantastic, as always. Great service. Look forward to returning soon!
Amazing food and staff!
Best onion soup in Denver, my wife ate off the restaurant week menu and loved it, I had steak frites and finished with banana’s foster!!! Great priced wine and local gem of a spot
excellent food and ambiance at reasonable prices and a broad wine list with good choices
Since moving back to Denver close to 5 years ago, La Merise has been one of our go-to favorites. For us, the added bonus is that exercise comes with dinner as we are within comfortable walking distance but even if we lived miles away, it would easily be worth the drive. It's cozy and comfortable with very fair price-points on food and beverage. In these difficult times for restaurants (and diners), they have maintained their menu and terrific service and you won't find better French Onion Soup anywhere.
We simply love this restaurant, the people and the food... the best Mussels EVER! We dined here in mid-March just before the lockdown, and have been back a few times since late August. And here we are again. We dined at La Merise on Wednesday with the looming Level Red impacting them and so many in our restaurant community. We truly hope and pray that the fine people at La Merise (and so many other establishments) can hold on until this wretched pandemic is behind us. God Speed. And thank you for your excellent food!
We had a very nice lunch at La Merise yesterday. As usual, the food was fresh and delicious, the service was excellent and the ambience made it very easy to have a nice visit.
Restaurant week menu with their typical items, ones we like! Loved the mussels and French onion soup. Entrees and desserts were good, small but fit with the four course meal. We could not have enjoyed it more!
Always good. Many meals there. One of our Denver favorites.
Though I have lived in the area for a while now, LaMerise got skipped. Never again. The hostess was so welcoming, our server John was knowledgeable, personable and even accommodated my dietary restrictions with a smile. (Who dines at a French Bistro and doesn’t eat dairy?!)
The five of us ate a large variety of menu items and may oooh’s and aaah’s were mumbled between bites. AND we still ordered dessert. . I rated this 5 stars, but would give it 6.
Best for French food in Denver.
consistently good food and service. We are regulars.
