Delicious food and fantastic servers. The outdoor patio is wonderful
First time trying this restaurant, I will be back!
We had a most-delightful evening! The ambiance on the patio was perfect, our waiter was fun and very efficient and the food was spectacular! Thank you!
Very nice lunch with friends on the patio. I'd recommend it to anyone.
Another wonderful dinner at La Merise. The pork medallions and steak were perfectly cooked. Get there while the Palisade peaches in brandy and cinnamon in a crepe are on the dessert menu!
I had lunch there with tow friends, it was lovely. Our waiter was timely, informative and friendly. The food was fantastic and so was the outdoor dining area.
Food was so-so this time.
Food selection and food preparation very good to excellent. Prices equitable. Wait staff was wonderful, smiling, gracious. No handicap access. 1 wheelchair person was nicely accommodated by a waiter helped down the 8 + steps from street level to patio and into dining area. Same when leaving.
Nice place, I just didn’t feel like I got my money’s worth. Food was good just a little pricey for what you get.
The food was okay but it was quite salty. That is an unpardonable sin or at least it should be.
Extremely slow food service. Food okay. Poor job w steak (extremely rare/uncooked). Overall an awkward experience.
No ramp for the disabled. Forced friendliness from server. Hostess/Bartender acted like we were intruding, long wait for acknowledgement and for seating. Super long wait for server to acknowledge. Long wait for water and drinks. Very long wait for main course. Food was meh. Onion soup was not browned on top, cheese was very chewy, broth was not flavorful. Other food, omelet and Benedict were nothing special. Hash browns were good. Overall the food was average, service poor and the lack of legally required accommodations for the disabled make this a no-go for us. Not special in any way.
Date night with my girl!! Fabulous food, wine and service. A perfect evening
the food was ok/good, but the service that night was very bad.
It felt like we were tolerated but not really seen as guests who would like to enjoy the French cuisine...
the staff really made it feel bad for us!!
Extremely slow service. The waiter was nice and apologized but the restaurant wasn't even full. Not a good value considering the $400 dollar bill for 3 people. Will go elsewhere next time.
Dining at La Merise is always a wonderful experience from the moment that we arrive and are warmly greeted by one of the owners or staff, then promptly seated and provided water and warm bread without having to ask. The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious, and beverage refills are timely. The kitchen always accommodates my food allergies and preferences, modifying as requested. *
Love the food. Service was interesting to say the least.
I like this nook for an outdoor dinner in the summer or a cozy 1/2 priced bottle of wine on a winter Sunday.
La Merise is always good and such a pleasant place to dine..
The food was fantastic and the wine selection adequate, the list is relatively modest but the prices are reasonable. Our waitress was ok missing on timing for wine with our main dish and letting our water glasses go empty. She was very friendly and overall did a nice job.
Avery nice restaurant but the food and service were off a bit from our last visit. We were a bit disappointed
La Merise is one the places we routinely go to in Denver when escaping the chain restaurant cuisine of Colorado Springs. The food, whether at lunch or dinner, is always wonderful, the service is exceptional, and the atmosphere - well, you feel like you are in a small cafe in Europe. Thanks for making each and every visit a most enjoyable experience!
As usual La Merise does not disappoint. The patio is cool in the summer, the crab salad is perfect and the white is excellent. Service is always good as it was for lunch this time. It's simply lovely to sit with a friend and share a great meal and lively conversation - thank you for taking such good care of us!!!
Great food. Love those big glasses of wine. Staff seemed spread thin. Pace was very slow.
La Merise was wonderful. We went to eat a little earlier this day and had a great dinner before the restaurant got too busy. The chicken croquettes were moist and seasoned well. My husband had the salmon which also was tender and seasoned well. The bread was great. The service was on time and took care of us in real time.
It was special occasion with a very special person, and La Merise made it spectacular. Excellent, unobtrusive table service, magnificent food and remarkable atmosphere exceeded all expectations. It could not have been any better.
La Merise was hopping for a Tuesday night- that speaks to it's consistently very good food and service.
One of my favorite restaurants in my neighborhood especially Sunday nights because bottles of wine are half off! The food is always delicious and the servers and staff seem to never turn over which means they like their job and the restaurant they work. All of the servers are friendly and professional. There’s an outdoor patio that’s down a few steps and has plenary of umbrellas to shade you from the sun.
My favorite dish is the salad nicoise but I mix it up from time to time when I’m tempted by something from the specials menu that night.
Loved it!!! Had never been, can't wait to come back!
We’ve never had a bad meal at La Merise! The patio is fun, lively and has a great atmosphere!
My party of five were all totally shocked and fully disappointed in the food! We were celebrating a friend going on vacation and wanted a quality meal. The pate was very good - I will say that; however, two ordered the sirloin steak and it was small and was dry and tough. I've had better steak at Applebees! And the FRENCH fries - they were not homemade. I've had better fries at McDonalds. Another member of the party ordered the filet mignon, and after one bite said it was the toughest, driest filet he had ever had. He pushed his plate aside. One of us at the potatoes on the plate, which were good. The carrot soup had a wierd taste no one at the table liked.
Also, the waiter came by our table to apoligize that the food was taking so long to come out. One of the party, who ordered Salmon, commented that they must have had to go fishing for the salmon in the Atlantic as it was taking so long. We were there to have a nice visit - so we waited very patiently, having a nice conversation. However, if we had been on a schedule with plans after dinner, it would have been extremely frustrating.
We took the steaks home to feed to our dogs. Needless to say, we will never be back.
Delicious meal accompanied by excellent service
Wonderful outdoor dining experience. The food was prepared perfectly and the pate was delicious. The building that the restaurant is located in is not very charming but the food and wine more than make up for it. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Overall, La Merise is a good value.
I enjoy this little French bistro very much! I love the crab salad, the mussels, the bread, the beef bourginoin and so many other dishes! And there is no skimping on the wine pours, which are huge! I have one tiny little suggestion...please place fresh flowers on the table, and maybe a little candle. The plastic plant has got to go!!!
La Merise has an understated and lovely elegance that we can always count on; great food, fresh oysters and the wonderful bread they serve fresh from the oven is always welcome. I always try to order somewhat light as I did on Saturday night but I was thrilled that my husband ordered a steak with the au 'gratin potatoes so I could share a bite!
Love this place. The food id lovely, the ambiance is charming and if the weather cooperates the outdoor tables are fun.
Had a lovely night at La Merise. We sat outside in the patio. It was a bit warm and sunny at first, but once the sun went down, it was perfect. Service was mostly good. Our waiter was pretty down to business and not too outgoing, but everything was delivered promptly. I had the salmon, which was very good. It was a relaxing, enjoyable night and I would definitely go nack
Delicious food and lovely service!
Outstanding as always!
