We had a wonderful dinner and returned another 2 times because it’s such a special neighborhood bistro. Everyone Beas wonderful, the chef is amazing. We can’t wait to return when we are in the area.
Recommend installing gaslight or something outside as restaurant looks closed during daytime hours.
What a delightful surprise this hidden gem was! It took me a few minutes to find the restaurant (lower level on the corner of Clayton and 3rd) but wa so happy when I did. The lunch Crepes were amazingly yummy! And Alex, our server, was very nice and helpful and accommodated our having to rush. Unfortunately we started out, in a hurry so we couldn't enjoy everything slowly and had to be fast so we're now going back soon to enjoy a more leisurely and DELICIOUS lunch!
We visit Denver twice a year to as family.
Trio always includes at least one ( usually more) trips to La Merise. We love everything about it: charming cozy great food and service. Consistently excellent on all counts.
Nice ambiance but food was just mediocre. Steak and burger were both overcooked. Service was great tho.
Perfect spot for a quiet dinner to have a conversation with your dinner companion.
Was quite pleased until I pointed out that there was a $15.00 price difference between the in restaurant menu wine list and the on-line price. $125.00 vs $110.00. I was willing to accept the price even though most restaurants would probably adjust to website pricing.
It was the owner’s or manager’s attitude that really turned this situation. “Your dining in the restaurant not at the website”
Had we not received this attitude we would have ordered a second bottle and would have returned in the future.
Service was spot on, timing measured between courses. Food was delicious. We started with the foie gras with a spray of lettuce and toasted rounds of bread. My husband and I had the steak frites — we both agreed next time we order medium rare. Our son had the beef bourguignon served over mash potatoes. He enjoyed it immensely. Beef was tender, just as it should be. He finished off his meal with a Nutella crepe with vanilla ice cream. No complaints at all. My husband and I shared a creme brûlée which was smooth and light. The sugar crust was toasted to a light golden crisp.
I have been here multiple times and always have a good experience.
We always have amazing food and service there. We all had the sole and it was great. Our server is professional and efficient. I like everything about it!
Lovely lunch. Authentic food with great service. Winner.
Good food, good service, good ambience, quiet Sunday evening; hard to beat.
A hidden gem in North Cherry Creek, the food is excellent and the service is great!
Staff was great, helpful, food and drinks were delicious and a good value for the $$
Excellent food, quiet enough to have a conversation without raising your voice. Pleasant.
Lovely, comfortable but elegant atmosphere, great service and high quality food. The wine pour is very generous!
I have been there twice in the last month, loved everything, except the parking!
Comfy French bistro in Cherry Creek. Food was tasty and reasonably priced. Affordable house wines by the glass as well as other glasses and bottles. Service was pleasant but perfunctory.
The food was delicious & the server very nice. This is a small restaurant so a noisy party of 4 can disrupt others, which it did this time. We still love this restaurant!!
I love the food at La Merise and eat eat quite frequently. The food was still wonderful and is very reasonably priced but it took about 40 minutes for the waiter to take our order, which was too long on a week night. Once we ordered the food arrived fairly quickly but that long wait to order was s frustrating.
Great brunch menu. Came for a birthday celebration. Very accommodating
Overall La Merise is French done well. I have the Lamb Chops, done perfect, with an excellent butter sauce. My wife had classic Beef Bourguinon, well done, with a rich sauce. Bacon Lardons are a nice touch. The only downside is the loudness of the restaurant, just have to deal with it, as it a smaller restaurant. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, a very solid French restaurant for Denver.
Meat was very fatty.
Excellent, service and food again. My wife and I always go here for her birthday with the same wonderful results each time.
My sole was so mushy and over cooked
The restaurant is very pretty inside, lively atmosphere without being real loud.
Love this place! Great food and owners
La Merise is our restaurant of choice for birthdays, anniversaries, and just about any other excuse. The wine list is exceptional, especially pertaining to Rhone, Burgundy, and Bordeaux. Prices are very reasonable.
La Merise is my go to brunch spot. I brought a friend along who has never brunched at La Merise, and she regrets never having been before today, as she loved it! Thanks again, La Merise, for a lovely Sunday dining experience with friends!
La Merise was an exquisite dining experience. We felt like we walked right into a restaurant off of the streets of France. The food was amazing! We will be back!
Food was average for a French restaurant. Service was average.
It was lovely, great food 😊
Fun venue slightly off rush hour for lunch so nice and peaceful. Meals were overall quite good. The only downside was the potato leek soup was very bland. Lunch was filling so we skipped dessert.
Awesome desserts ! Excellent food! I recommend Eggs Benedict Crêpe, Bananas Foster and Napoleon cake- all delicious! I did not like the trout dish very much. We will come back !
Being gluten free, I found only a few items on the menu for me. In many french restaurants I have enjoyed galettes with buckwheat. That would be a wonderful addition to your menu.
So I would have given a full five stars all around - my fisherman’s stew was wonderful but my husband said the beef bourguignon was good but not great. The wine list was outstanding. Service was excellent. I would go again.
I had enjoyed a wonderful meal there 3 years ago and have been wanting to get back there ever since! Glad I did as it did not disappoint. Wonderful food, great service. Hope to get back soon!!
Great food and atmosphere!
Our favorite place in Cherry Creek, always consistent and friendly
