Great experience and hospitality. The best duck ever.
Thank you so much for the surprise. Very sorry for their delay.
Exquisite and carefully curated cuisine with wine pairing. Excellent service. Knowledgeable and attentive staff. Highly recommended.
My husband and I had such an amazing experience at La Mer. From the view to the food to the service, everything was amazing!
We could spend wonderful time there.
We are sure, we will visit them again.
Maybe at sunset time.
Thank you!
雰囲気は最高で、料理も美味しかったです。料理は見た目も良かったです。ただ、コスパは最強に悪いです。
This was our first dinner as a married couple. The food and service were equally remarkable. All of the staff worked as a team to ensure we had the best dining experience imaginable. The food was on a whole superb level on it's own. Hats off to the chefs! From the first course to the last, each bite was pure food heaven on Earth! We were too full to eat it all, but we savored every flavor experience. We will be back in five years!
時間が早過ぎ6時に予約を入れましたが5:45でないと取れませんでしたが、6時でも他のお客様は一人も居ませんでした‼️
We enjoyed the meal and the waiters was extremely nice.
Wonderful dining experience!!!
Too expensive
Great experience! Kent was wonderful.
I’m sorry about the seat, because our seats was not beside the window.
Omar bisque was a litle too salty.
otherwise good
Waiters are so trained
This was a prix fixe menu offered by visiting Chef Yu Sugimoto from the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. The food and wine pairings were both superb.
Romantic French restaurant located in the five-diamond Halekulani Hotel. Service impeccable. Food was fantastic, wine pairing was well-thought-out.
I almost cancelled our reservation here thinking this restaurant was going to be too fancy and stuffy for our week in Waikiki, but we are so glad we came! The meal was amazing, one of our best meals ever! We had the full chef tasting menu. Each unique course was beautifully presented and combined interesting flavors, colors, textures. (The lobster with chipotle cream sauce was our least favorite, and if I could roll back time I would omit it, which is one of the options for the tasting menus). There was plenty of food—we were both quite full at the end of the meal. Our oceanfront table (which I requested when I made our reservation about two weeks before our visit) was perfect. Great live music from House Without a Key below to our left, and the sunset over the ocean right in front of us. Service was fantastic. The meal was expensive but the whole experience was worth the cost and we now have the memory of a fine, fine experience we will reminisce about for years.
Perfect location!
Beautiful dinner!
It was overwhelming & extremely irritating. It was difficult to “stay in the moment” on a romantic date with staff in every corner staring at you. It was impossible to have an intimate conversation or quietly enjoy the last minutes of the sunset without a staff member rushing over every 2-3 minutes to (slowly & 1 by 1) put ice in the glass, refill water or wine as soon as the glass was half empty, offer bread 100 times, and the list could go on. As far as the food, stay away from the poached lobster dish - the small dudes of chorizo is too strong for a light dish like that. It completely offended the taste buds (and I like chorizo), making me rush for a sip of wine to cleanse the pallet. Sadly, we won’t be returning.
A superior tasting menu experience. Easily worthy of two Michelin Stars if the restaurant had been located in a different, higher profile city. Homard Poche (poached lobster) and Gewurztraminer emulsion were standouts, which would not be out of place in top French restaurants in Europe. Wine pairings traditional but with some twists, like a superb Chenin Blanc from South Africa. Bread selection was top notch as well. To boot, a lovely view, and very attentive and charming staff.
Service and dessert was great! But this is what I call a bring your magnifying glass to dinner place. Because you're gonna need it to see your food. I ate my entree in 2 bites (it was $60). Enough said
Truly one of the best dining experiences that you can imagine. The scenery is spectacular! Our service was impeccable and the food was complex, delicious and beautifully presented. We will remember this night for a lifetime.
With reservation to the fact that I’ve had better quality of food for less! However, Lobster bisque was money!
Wonderful room, quiet - easy to converse - beautiful view. Service was exquisite - a wonderful experience. However the menu is very limited, and VERY pricey for the small quantities served. The food I had (lobster bisque, abalone, cheese plate) were delicious, but very sparse. My spouse had the John Dory fish, which she said was tough. All in all, great service and room, but small amounts of food and very pricey gets this restaurant three stars.
完璧なマリアージュとサービス
This was an outrageously expensive and disappointing meal. Situated in one of the main upscale hotels of Waikiki, the expectation created by the descriptions that I had accessed were high but they really missed the mark. From the simple management of a vodka tonic with the waiter forgetting the tonic to mix and using a glass too small for proper mixing (the bar must have run out of clean glasses...?) to waiting over an hour to serve the main entree, we felt like we were “fill in” diners that they honored us with their service. We only had a three course meal with good appetizers, but my wife’s red snapper was tasty but grainy so to speak (overcooked?) and my abalone was more rubbery with minimal taste than I recall from other times I had eaten it. I have to say the dessert soufflé was very good but by the time we got to it it was anticlimactic and my wife actually feeling queasy from her main course. I expected a large bill but have felt cheated for having to pay so much for such disappointment. In regard to service, we received more attention from our bread and water attendant than our primary waiter. It is a beautiful setting but missed the mark in the most significant way- delivery of an the exceptional meal advertised.
Unforgettable! We partner and I chose to dine at La Mer for an early Valentines celebration. From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty, there was not a single detail overlooked.
Our server Chip took great care of us, making sure we were not in want of anything for a moment. The sommelier (I think his name was Kevin), came out to suggest a different wine than the bottle we originally chose, and we were grateful for the recommendation.
The chef was very gracious in making modifications due to my shellfish allergy and every course was perfection. We loved that he took classic dishes and put his own spin on them, making them unique and memorable. In particular we could not get over how incredible the scallop dish tasted!
The ambiance was elegant and serene, we felt fortunate to be seated at table 25, looking over the ocean while eating an amazing meal. I cannot praise the staff enough, who were all fantastic.
In short, Le Mer is exquisite.
The staff and the ambience were outstanding! The food was wonderful, both in presentation and taste!
The absolute best fine dining venue in Honolulu. Quiet, intimate, pampered, delicious. Cost is very reasonable for value.
サンセットと中庭からのハワイアンミュージック、美味しい料理と大変良かったです。
The food and the shop people were great
Mahalo for yet another wonderful evening and delicious dinner at your beautiful, elegant and peaceful restaurant. See you again next time I am in town. - Wolfgang.
Excellent service and food!!! Definitely lives up to all expectations! The service was great to making reservations, special seating request, and dinner service. Just excellent!! I will definitely be back! Thank you!!
Food is excellent, service is friendly. I will visit again when I visit Hawaii again !
Best Memories in honeymoon
The ambiance, service and view were amazing! I don’t feel, however, that the food was worthy of the high prices. I had other equally exceptional meals at other local, less expensive restaurants.
La Mer is our favorite restaurant in Honolulu.
Food quality and services are always excellent .
Good wine selection especially they have many half bottles to choose from .
Chip was a superb waiter. The table by the window was private enough to allow us to feel like honored guests.
I chose the restaurant as the place where I gave a marriage proposal. It was success and was a memorable one because the food, service and ambience were awesome! Our table was right next the seashore and it was special enough to celebrate our engagement! I really recommend others to use the restaurant as a special place:)
