Spaghetti and Meatballs
As always, excellent service, food and value. Las Mela is hands down the most authentic restaurant in Little Italy.
Always the best NYC Little Italy experience. I have been coming here with clients for years.
Food is always great! Service too! Their calamari is always perfect, light and great texture, not chewy or tough. Great inguini white clams, strip steak cooked perfectly medium and tender. Delicious coffee, sugar not needed. Recommend!
The family style food was not good. The best part was the pasta course which was just ok. The meat course was not good at all. Service was slow.
Great on a weekend during warm months when mulberry st is closed to vehicular traffic. Food is wonderful and great value. Service is good and the staff is very nice. Highly recommend
A fantastic, "old world" Italian restaurant experience in the middle of Little Italy! GREAT food and service. Highly recommended.
Good service, good variety of options and solid food. Their calamari is always good and consistent. Tried other spots and either not good and not consistent. Fun place with fun crowd!
My friend declared her eggplant parmesan the best she'd ever had, and the zabaglione was a revelation. My red snapper marechiaro was brilliant and generous. Service was great. Little Italy is nicely recovered from my last visit many years ago. We'll return!
Veal Parm and Pasta Fagioli Soup is the best in Little Italy!!!
Great food. Love their fried calamari (perfectly done) & linguine white clams! Always consistent! Thanks guys!!!
Newly established progressive Mexican fare. With excellently prepared food. We had appetizer, main course and dessert without any sense this was a fledgling establishment. Food was well prepared and presented. The waitstaff was extremely friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend, just be aware they are not taking reservations and it will be a wait for the table. The wait is worth it.
Always enjoy La Mela!
Great location on Mulberry Street, small, not fancy, no fuss, great food and service. Their menu has been reduced considerably (probably because of the pandemic), but the food was incredible as always. Full bar and great desserts, too.
Great staff, very good food! Great local business, our go to for local Italian.
Benny and his staff went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Food was delicious as well. Highly recommend and I will be back.
The staff was super nice, very accommodative. The food was real good.
I like the food and the restaurant. I will recommended it to my friends this restaurant.
Food and service was amazing.
Every time we visit NYC, we go to La Mela for dinner. The vodka sauce is amazing!
We made rezzies on your site and when we got there , they were CLOSED
La Mela is my favorite restaurant in Little Italy..maybe NYC, I go there as often as I can,
with friends in from out of town, first stop, but most importantly with my best friends and family on my Birthday EVERY YEAR!....A place I cherish.
La Mela is an incredible spot for delicious, not pretentious, food served family style. Even with Covid, they have retained the amazing service and quality. Extremely accommodating and my favorite place for over 20 years. Flew in from Nashville on a Sunday night and they crushed it!
Always amazing. Never a let down. They are like family and served us even earlier than our reservation because we overestimated our arrival.
I love La Mela and have been visiting since 1994. This was my first trip back to The Great City / President Trump birthplace since October 2019, and spent a few dollars at my favorite eatery, with a good friend who enjoys visiting city with me.
Food always great. Hoping and praying for better days for NYC.
La Mela is the best Italian food in the city!!! Great prices for an amazing portion of food, and the service is 10/10- great people.
Wonderful food, amazing service. The outdoor dining was clean, but not the fanciest on the street – didn't bother me, but is worth noting for others. Very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating staff.
Wonderful food, great service and lots of leftovers!
Great Service. Get out and keep these businesses around.
If your looking for authentic Italian this is the place for you. My personal recommendation is the chicken piccata. You can cut through the chicken with your fork it’s so tender!!
La Mela never disappoints. Loved being outside on such a great evening for dinner.
My friend and I had a wonderful experience at La Mela. We go each year for the San Gennaro festival and since it’s cancelled this year, we still had to continue the tradition. The service and food was, as always wonderful. We had the family style meals with the 3 dish option. Just a great time supporting the local community.
Would absolutely recommend to eat there! I wish I lived closer! Everyone enjoyed their food and there was enough to take home! I will definitely be back!
Absolutely splendid! Their outdoor seating section is adorable, the staff is very friendly, and you get a great meal. Definitely recommend!
The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly and helpful with the surprise birthday dinner I planned with my friends. They were very understanding when we arrived late and they took great care of us.
La Mela was a good experience. The food was really good. The desserts not so much. We tried the Tiramisu and cheese cake but both were bad. Tiramisu was super sweet and the cheese cake tasted like freezer burn and was very hard. Because it was outdoor dining and it was very hot out that day, I believe this contributed to 2 bugs getting into my glass of wine twice. Our waiter changed the glass of wine so that was great! Other than that, it was a good time. I would eat here again. Just won't get dessert here : )
Lovely pandemic outdoor dining experience.
Great food and great service. Outdoor dining abides by social distancing, they don’t pack you in like other places.
I just love this place. Have gone here for 20 years every time I’m in Manhattan. They never fail on the good food and the excellent service!
I would have tipped more than 20%, but I understand why they make it “tourism friendly” by adding the tip to the bill.
La Mela is rated 4.8 stars by 1183 OpenTable diners.
