Too loud to have a conversation. Food was just marginal. At 7:45 they were already out of all the non-pasta dishes. Disappointing.
The meal was excellent as was the service. Only question is why a dish whose main ingredient is pasta costs so much. Prices just seem a bit high. But still recommend La Medusa because the food is beautifully prepared and presented.
the place was charming and the food was good not great.
We had reservations sat down at 730, waiter did not a knowledge us for 30 mins? He was just standing around doing everything but come over , restaurant was not full at all? The bus boy was filling our water to kill the time, I ask him to inform the waiter we were ready for service, another 10 minutes go by, with zero apologies took our wine order another 20 minutes goes by! All this time I can see him just standing there? Decides to bring us wine glasses but no wine! Another 10 goes by he brings the wine. Took our order, food came out slowly, never checked back, except for the bus boy! We had to ask him again to ask that waiter to come over! Ordered another bottle, 20 minutes later he shows up with wine? My friend complained to deaf ears they claimed there was no manager? Over all the worst service! Never going back. Tip him 0! I tipped the bus boy!!!
Cool spot for a date or special occasion. Food, ambiance and service make it for a fun evening that is always unique from the typical Italian restaurant. The wine selection is reasonable in price and choice with high end and moderate wines available for all budgets. La Medusa does a good job every time.
Lovey food. Excellent service. Will be back.
Awesome food. Best service (we love you Donna)! A neighborhood gem.
Unfortunately the meals were just OK, we had to return one to the kitchen. We were really hoping to have a good experience considering that we received recommendations for this place
We have been here several time. The food is always excellent and consistent. The service is superb.
We were unfortunately the only patrons for our entire visit. Service was maybe overly attentive for this reason which made it hard to sustain an intimate date feeling. Food was just ok.
Been here so many times. Always have a reservation, don’t take any chances, everyone knows about this place. Food quality continues to amaze us, whether menu standards or seasonal new favorites. Wait staff have always treated us so well, nice balance of friendliness and service. We just keep waiting for them to bring back the olive oil cake for dessert...it’s incredible.
Perfectly chilled gin martini started the fabulous evening. Then we had scrumptious cheese filled croquette with delicious marinara and Parton grilled peppers. Oh so flavorful! The black cod in brodo was amazing as was my husband’s pasta with clams. Service was excellent.
A great neighborhood restaurant. The food has always been great and is consistent every visit. The service is also very good. I highly recommend La Medusa.
Food and service were both good. The take away feeling was that the price for what we got was not a good value. A little overpriced for what we received in a modest cafe setting
Oh! Great board...and it's always nice to be able to take a step or two right into the kitchen. Everyone is happy to engage...
Always love coming to La Medusa on Wednesday night during the summer for its 3-course market meal. Everything about it is perfect.
La Medusa is the best restaurant in the South End. It is a destination for many and a beloved local spot for many more.
One of our favorite places in Seattle. Incredible pasta, service and ambiance.
Pretty good food but very noisy and a somewhat limited menu
We have loved this place since it first opened. Homemade pastas, complex flavors, good wine list, great meals. Where else can you find bagna cauda, orancini, baccala, and crazy water soup. Lobby for reprise of braised short ribs and tuscan rib-eye.
As always, everything was perfect.
Overpriced, but the food was good. Menus would be nice rather than reading the chalk board. Staff were courteous and helpful.
Great service. Marinara sauce is excellent
The only reason that I didn’t give it straight 5’s across the board is that the dessert was disappointing. But the apps and entry were incredible.
Exceptional in every respect. Always consistent from the kitchen to the wait staff at the very highest level.
Extremely hot inside the restaurant, pasta was undercooked. Don’t try!
We love your restaurant and have had many successful meals there in the past. However on Thursday night, the salads we received were badly over salted. And the pesto was really bland and totally unexceptional. A disappointing experience at a restaurant we think is generally quite wonderful.
Great neighborhood gem that offers great Italian food! The food is consistently delicious along with great service. You should expect that dinner will take time - the kitchen spaces courses and doesn’t always serve all plates at the same time amongst different diner orders at the same table.
Love this restaurant & everyone who works there!
Awesome date spot in the heart of Columbia City. The food and service were excellent.
would absolutely recommend : great food, great wine, great service
Good service and good food. It was a bit warm inside, and we were sweating. Other than that, it was a nice dining experience.
Small restaurant with delicious food and a nice ambiance. Highly recommend!
I’ve easily dined at this restaurant over 50 times and was a frequent guest for several years. Had a bad dining experience 7 months ago so I stopped going. This past Thursday I decided I’d give it another try. I tried the Pork Belly, the dish was too fatty, had no flavor, and was beyond underwhelming.
An interesting Sicilian twist on Italian food. Consistent great food and service. Elevated Italian home cooking.
This was our second time to La Medusa and both times we have been impressed with the menu, the quality of the food and excellent seasonal preparations. The squid ink spaghetti and clams had just the right amount of saffron and spice, and the burrata and beets were delicious. Only suggestion is for the wait staff to be a little more attentive.
Have never had a bad meal at La Medusa. Tried the Market Day fixed price menu for a change and it was divine. Fresh, unique flavors, lots to eat and original and inspiring plating. I love this place. Feel so grateful to have La Medusa near by.
Great ambiance, food and service! It’s like eating in Europe - they provide a great experience and don’t rush you!
This wonderful neighborhood gem never disappoints. Local, delicious and always fresh - Meredith and her team make everyone feel like regulars (and we are!). The Squid Ink Puntanesca is one of my very favorite dishes - and their salads are out of this world.
It took over an hour to get our dinner after ordering.
La Medusa is right in the heart of Columbia City. Leave time to find parking. It is a small intimate place with an interesting menu focusing on house made pasta.
