We didn't have the best "experience " at this restaurant. The host asked if we had a reservation and of course we did, we know that in NYC on a week-end you need reservations. He was a young guy have no idea what his name was but he was rude, and unfriendly, he said our table was not ready. So we walked two steps to the bar and we were ignored, one bartender had his back turned to us the whole time and was counting a cash drawer, the other was stacking wine bottles. No one said "Hello!" Welcome to La Masseria or anything of that nature. The whole staff was rude. Our servers, (we had a total of 4-5) were not friendly either, not sure what the deal was. The food is rather expensive but hey I guess you are in NYC...and that was to be somewhat expected but we did expect also to have more of a friendly experience. The food was excellent so much appreciation, and our compliments to the chef. Think the employees all need a refresher course on how to be friendly to customers. After all if it wasn't for us you would not have a job!
