La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversize iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The 250-bottle wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.

Food is consistently good here, but it is pricey. Some of it seems reasonable for what you get, but some seems over inflated. Our waiter seemed distracted and disinterested. That was a bit of a disappointment, as he told us generalities about the specials and both the soup and entree were not exactly what I expected. Both were good - just not what I would have been looking for. Risotto was plentiful - too much - would have preferred less at a cheaper price. Burrata app special was outstanding as was my friend’s salmon dish. Overall a good experience, I would just ask more questions next time. Enjoyed my experience at the West Palm Beach location more than this visit.

We have eaten here several times when we cone into NY for plays. The food has always met or exceeded expectations. The staff is attentive and when they know you have to leave by a certain time they have always had us out on time. You should leave at least 1 1/2 hours for the meal. We like the small restaurant atmosphere.

I was very pleased and will definitely return. The food was delicious and the staff very nice. It is more a place for a special occasion than a quick bite before or after theatre.

Don't be seated upstairs. I don't know if it was because we arrived at an off time but the restaurant should not use the seating in the mezzanine. The table was cramped, the space dingy and depressing, and the noise from the air handlers was deafening. I have eaten at this restaurant many time but now will think twice before revisiting.
