La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversize iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The 250-bottle wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.

Officious maitre d’, but otherwise very nice people. Excellent waiter. Had made the reservation a month - 6 weeks before the date, so was frustrated by terrible table in front of the door (frigid NYC evening outside, and every time the door opened) and directly in the line of traffic — everyone in the restaurant would push by the table. Politely requested another table and maitre d’ said OK, 10 minutes. About 5 minutes later he said well, it could be half an hour. Very rude, very full of attitude, who needs this from a B-level restaurant?
After very unpleasant start to the meal, we had a terrific waiter and very tasty meals. Would recommend going sometime when they aren’t busy.

Food is consistently good here, but it is pricey. Some of it seems reasonable for what you get, but some seems over inflated. Our waiter seemed distracted and disinterested. That was a bit of a disappointment, as he told us generalities about the specials and both the soup and entree were not exactly what I expected. Both were good - just not what I would have been looking for. Risotto was plentiful - too much - would have preferred less at a cheaper price. Burrata app special was outstanding as was my friend’s salmon dish. Overall a good experience, I would just ask more questions next time. Enjoyed my experience at the West Palm Beach location more than this visit.

Great Italian food and the dessert were incredible. It was the best cheesecake we ever had. It was delicious. Perfect meal before or after a show.

We have eaten here several times when we cone into NY for plays. The food has always met or exceeded expectations. The staff is attentive and when they know you have to leave by a certain time they have always had us out on time. You should leave at least 1 1/2 hours for the meal. We like the small restaurant atmosphere.
