The service was wonderful and the food was outstanding. We went before a show and the staff got us in and out promptly.
We come to La Masseria often when we visit New York. We enjoy the food--both variety and high quality-- and the ambience. However, this last time, it was really over-crowded. The staff was overworked and less attentive and the manouevering around tables to get to our own table was cumbersome. The conversation noise was also a real distraction. Like the restaurant a lot but disappointed in the experience this time.
What a treasure we found the other night! I wasn't expecting to have such a great experience. The service was delightful. The pasta was the best I've had this side of the Vatican.
Thanks for a wonderful experience.
Love the farmhouse ambiance. The waiter was charming and efficient. The entree was the best veal scallopine i ever ate. Just great all around.
The best Italian in Times Square area for sure. Excellent food, excellent wine, excellent service.
Be sure to make a res as they book up quick!
I love the food and the ambiance is great. The waiters and staff are fantastic. I always keep coming back.
Amazing Italian food!
Going to the theatre afterwards
Amazing food and service!
Went here with my son, for his 18th birthday. Everything was excellent: food, service, ambiance, except for one thing: when I booked our dinner, there was an option to add a comment or 'special request' so I did mention my son's birthday and ask if we can have a candle with the desert. It never came... I can't say it ruined the night since my boy is 18, but I did expect La Masseria to do something special for us.
Only negative that I had was that the Host was a bit rude, we showed up by accident 30 minutes early and he seemed almost upset with us. The bar was full and he said, small bar you should be able to find something close, there is no room as you can see.
La Masseris never disappoints. The food, service and atmosphere are fantastic. Our go to restaurant whenever we go to NYC to see a play
Very pleasant lunch with friends. Food was good.
We went after the theater since it seemed to be one of the few restaurants in the area where we could get reservations on Open Table for a late dinner. We were very pleasantly surprised. Food was delicious with very good variety of choices. Staff was friendly and provided excellent service. Our waiter, Guiseppi, made it a memorable experience. He was terrific.
Good, service, atmosphere all excellent! Highly recommend aye would go again. I’ll
Ambiance was great and quantities where generous. My pasta was all clumped together. No way I could spin it. Maybe not enough oil? A few of the mussels in my seafood pasta dish tasted slightly funky although most of the seafood seemed ok. My friends fish was heavy and over seasoned.
High-end Italian. Food very good, albeit pricy. Home-made pasta was excellent.
Would recommend. Pasta, seafood, Sunday gravy, and Tiramisu were outstanding. My guest thoroughly enjoyed the gnocci. My cocktail (Old Fashioned) was also very well crafted. The rigatoni was to die for. Very nice and prompt server.
The food was very good. The service was good, although the waiter seemed a bit non-plussed about issuing separate checks. (I was on an expense account; my wife was not.) Overall, a good dining experience.
Staff most pleasant and accommodating!
Service, staff, food was amazing… Great experience for my 60th birthday
We were so pleased with everything we experienced at Masseria. Four ladies who like to share and there was no problem. We had a delightful prosecco while we chose our meal, a special salad of burratta. It was plated for us , so lovely and it was really delish. We loved the fresh basil and the burratta was truly wonderful. We had grilled veggies and a special fresh fettuccini with porcini mushrooms and shrimp that we split for our entre and again superb. We love sharing especially before a show so we had just the right amount of food.
The service was impeccable. We really loved the ambiance. We will be back again.
New Year’s Eve
Pour le 31 décembre un repas merveilleux et vraiment très bon dommage que nous n’avions pu su lors de la réservation qu’il y avait un dj après le 1er service nous aurions pris le second pour voir l’ambiance :D mais sinon on a adoré 🥰
Extremely well located. We were a step away from 7th Avenue for New Years Eve. Excellent food, service was over the average. Very good price for New Years Eve. I will definitely come back.
Comida deliciosa , ambiente y decoración buena . Me encantó .
We arrived early for our reservation and decided to eat at the bar. Great decision as the bartender was very friendly, helpful with the menu and wine selection as well as her service. Food was some of the best Italian we have eaten and we are from Boston and are Italian.
We were a party of four, having dinner after a Broadway show. La Masseria was delightful. The restaurant was warm and inviting, and the food was delicious. We each started with a salad, and then shared pasta entrees to save room for dessert. A great idea because their desserts are amazing. La Masseria is a great find and I will definitely be back.
We were disappointed in La Masseria. We arrived on time for a 4 p.m. dinner reservation after a show, and the restaurant was not crowded. We were seated at a nice table almost immediately, but that's when things started deteriorating. Someone dropped off a bread basket at 4:05 p.m. And then we waited. We signaled to one of the waitstaff that we'd like to order, he indicated that he heard us, and then...nothing. Probably four or five waitstaff were polishing wine glasses and silverware, but no one came over. We signaled again, he came over and apologized that it was taking so long, and then at 4:17 p.m., a waiter took our drink orders. When he returned, we decided that we had better order dinner, so we placed that order at about 4:25 p.m. Entrees arrived in about 10 minutes, which made us wonder about how much had been previously prepared and just sitting around. For entrees that averaged around $35 each, it was not a dining experience we'd like to have again.
I felt like I was in Italy. Great ambiance. The restaurant tables were not on top of each other and being a party of two we were seated at a 4 person table. What a delight sitting at a larger table! The wine was delicious as was the gnocchi . Will definitely go back.
Excellent food. Great service.
We come here every other Christmas Eve and it is always amazing. My daughter who is 6 like to order the “Home Made Pasta“ and she eats it all. The food is always mind blowing with such amazing flavor and consistency. The staff are always working hard, smiling, and always keeping us happy. The atmosphere is delightful feels really nice and cozy.
If you haven’t already tried this place it should be a must on your list.
Excellent!! We celebrated our wedding anniversary and everything was absolutely perfect!!
Very prepared Italian
Good wines and bar service
Efficient and very friendly wait staff
Good location in Theater District
We love this place. Waiter was perfect and funny. Great Christmas week meal. Would go there again and again.
Great upscale dining experience from antipasto to dessert.
Will dine here again in the future.
After we attended a play close by, we came straight to this fantastic restaurant. Great service, outstanding food and beautifully decorated for Christmas! Will tell everyone how great this place is.
Celebrated Christmas with our son and his girlfriend. Great service, excellent suggestions on selections, terrific food.
Highly recommended restaurant by friends, us 3 couples made reservations and where no disappointed. Wine and service 5 star as well as our dejection of veal / Ravioli and mussels.
Tables very close. Food and service was great.
