Food was delicious
Excellent service from start to finish. Loved the food!
Absolute perfection! Felt great to dine pre-theatre again. Service was paced well, with our waiter keeping in mind that we had a show to catch at 8pm. Food was incredible, wine list impressive. What a joy to have dinner and a show happen again!
The food was good. The service was excellent. The grilled branzino was perfectly prepared. The salads and pastas were very good, as was the grilled octopus. The carpaccio was fresh and tasty. The fritto misto was just average because the shrimp was overcooked and the calamari not as cripsy as they should have been. The side dish of broccoli rabe was delicious, but a little overpriced at $15.50.
Delicious food and lovely service. Glad to be back on Broadway and in NYC to dine!
Sat outside always good the chicken parm was excellent
Very good food, nice atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming and attentive.
The food was very good and their presentations were lovely.
They cater to the theater district and perhaps become less attentive to customers because they might not see them again. They might rethink this approach.
We were not told the restaurant begins serving at 5:00pm. We had 4:30 reservations and assumed we would be able to have our meal begin. Many uncomfortable moments for that half hour wait where we were seated, but ignored.
Perhaps we will give this restaurant another try now that we know their rules.
Enjoyed our meal and wine very much. Service was very good as well. Will come back
Fabulous wines, delicious appetizers and superb entrees! The seafood misto del mare had shrimp, calamari and scallops…very light and crispy, with no oily taste. The penne mazzeria was incredibly rich, with creamy sauce and bacon. Our annual theatre trip to NYC means another sumptuous cuisine at Mazzeria!
La Masseria is always a pleasurable experience from A-Z. One of our Theatre District go to spots!
Overall experience was okay-food was tasty. When asked about outdoor dining, the manager attempted to explain a weird booking process-beyond simply using open table to secure reservation. Come across a little rude-And I am local to the area. However, our sever was the best and made up for it. He was pleasant and very funny.
Una terrible decepción, se anuncian muchos platillos con Mozarella y Búfalo y NO hay nada de lo anunciado, cuando pedí me sirvieron un pedazo de queso Panela!!!
My friend and I had a wonderful dinner last night at La Masseria. The waiter recommended a wine that we loved and we were very happy with our meals as well. We had an after dinner drink at the bar and had a very nice conversation with the bartender. We have both eaten here before and it never disappoints!
Food, service, wine were all outstanding. Wine was a little pricey, but every was excellent. Will go back.
Love this place!! Great decor and super quick if going before a show. They also have the best espresso martini
Tasteless salad, dry pasta, inattentive service. Convenient location.
Excellent food and very attentive service. Vax check for indoor dining provides nice add’l safety measure against COVID. Tables with diners more than adequately distanced too.
It's like they never missed a beat. We were very happy to come back to this restaurant after a long shut down. The food was great. The service superb. All in all, a wonderful night.
I’m from LA. I’ve been going to this restaurant every time that I travel to NYC over seven years. The food continues to be outstanding but the service wasn’t good on this trip. We felt pressure to get out quickly, and the waiter wasn’t very attentive. And with Covid, the paper menus were very dirty. We were there on 9/12/21. It was a sad day for us given our past experiences.
The classic Italian food was excellent. Well cooked, flavored and seasoned. Really enjoyed the meal.
Solid option for midtown, especially before a show. A bit pricier though.
We were looking for a nice place for dinner before a show and La Masseria did not disappoint! The meatballs were delicious and screamed "home made" and the Ravioli was nice and light but so good I practically licked the plate clean. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff attentive.
Get the tiramisu! Best I've ever had!!
Really enjoyed our experience at LA Messaria! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had tickets to a show next door and they were so helpful in getting us served in time to make our show.
Outstanding meal and one of my favorite Italian restaurants in New York!!
La Masseria was a terrific find in the Times Square area! We let the staff know that we were headed to an 8:00pm show and they paced the dinner nicely and left plenty of time to get to the theatre. Nice, quiet setting; excellent and professional service staff; and absolutely outstanding food and drink from a kitchen and bar that clearly knows what they are doing. We began with some well-recommended cocktails and wine selections from a reasonably priced drink menu and wine list. The service staff was able to describe dishes in detail and make recommendations from both the specials and regular menu; and all the recommendations were excellent. We shared a simple frisee salad with crisped bacon and freshly grated aged parmesan that was among the best we've had in awhile. Pastas seem to be routinely well done, with a deft hand at balancing flavors and sauces. The Risotto special with lump crab and tomatoes was very well done, as was the anglanotti filled with veal and cheese. Flavors were beautifully balanced in a light reduction sauce. In looking around the room, all of the dishes coming out looked very nice and folks seemed to be enjoying them. Only slight downside (while remembering we were in Times Square) was the price of some of the salads and appetizers running into the mid-$20 range. That said, we would pay it again for this level of quality and will plan a return visit next time we are in the city.
Great stop when seeing a nearby show. Food was delicious , drinks wonderful and Ronald our server excellent.
Superb cuisine and attentive informed staff. Best fettuccine with mushrooms and truffles we have EVER eaten. We will return.
Added this to our list of places to eat for our NYC trips.
The next time I'm in New tork I will be eating at La Masseria! The food and service were excellent!!
Absolutely delightful, outstanding restaurant, would highly recommend!
The service was outstanding. The food (both had pasta) was very good - but not outrageously good. The server and kitchen were very accommodating with the appetizer and salad - splitting the serving in two so we could share.
Excellent pre Broadway dining ( Bruce) . Definitely a wonderful experience and we will return next time in the city.
Love this spot!
This is our restaurant of choice before a Broadway show, but we’d come here just for the dining alone, too
We love going to this restaurant!!! Food is always delicious…wine selection excellent and service is impeccable!
We visited La Masseria prior to going to a Broadway show. The food was delicious and the service was great. The ambiance was cozy and welcoming. It is helpful to also have outdoor dining. We will definitely visit again.
I was very surprised by the quality. I don’t expect much from restaurants in and around Times Square. But, this came recommended from front of house staff further uptown. Will return.
As usual excellent food, excellent service and great ambiance. Arrived really early before a Bruce concert and was seated promptly and requested a leisurely pace for dinner. Perfect pace from our waiter Ronald who did an excellent job. Will always head to La Masseria when going to the city.
My boyfriend and I had an AMAZING experience here. Impeccable service with delicious food. We requested the specials for the evening and were not disappointed. When we are in New York we will definitely try there again.
