Service was terrible. Saw our waiter maybe once other than when he took our order. They were not very conversational and often ignored us when we try to ask for help.
Waiter said to us "The service is pretty bad here". Server attended to other tables around us and only came over when beckoned. Food was overpriced for simple Italian meals. Fish of the day was undercooked
Service was amazing, food and presentation was incredible. Definitely would recommend to anybody craving an Italian dish in the area. Will be going back next time I am in the city!
Food was delish- but what really impressed us was the staff. Outstanding.
This is my third repeat visit to La Masseria since outdoor dining opened. The food is consistently delicious and the service is knowledgeable and friendly.
La Masseria is superb. Normally can't easily get a reservation but with Broadway closed we were lucky enough to get in to a prime spot last minute! Always fantastic service, delicious food. The external seating looks great!
Me and my boyfriend wasn’t really impressed with their service. I got the eggplant cake, tasted ok but it would fill you up like you had an unhealthy food. Tomato in Insalata Caprese was not good at all. My boyfriend ordered Scialateilli Alla Sciliana but he couldn’t even eat it because the fettuccini was so think and poor quality. I had the Orata del Mediterranaeo but the fish crusted in a very unhealthy way and the texture of fish was so poor . They should improve all the items I mentioned in their menu or they will lose their customers
Always terrific...food and service outstanding
Good food, good service. I will recommend
Great Restaurant. Excellent Selection. Love that they marked the Vegetarian items. Cute outdoor vibe. Awesome and friendly staff. Food and drinks were both wonderful!
Team was amazing, wonderful night out😍
I had the most amazing dining experience at La Masseria. When I arrived, the host greeted me by name and made me feel so welcome. They have a lovely selection of outdoor tables, removed from the sidewalk. I started with the misticanza salad, which was generous in size and delicious. I then had the cavatelli with shrimp, which was amazing. And I finished with the apple crostina with ice cream, which was out of this world. The service was outstanding. One of the finest Italian eateries in NYC.
The best food, the best service! Quality Italian food with perfect ambiance! And the best wait staff! Thanks for a great night! Love your outside patio!
The meals are always consistently delicious! Highly recommend!
Enjoyed my experience at La Masseria. Waiters were friendly and attentive. I had pasta and my date had fish and we both loved our food. Looking forward to when they can reopen for indoor dining. Will definitely come back again.
We enjoyed a lovely meal on the patio of La Masseria! The food delicious as always. The service top notch!
Their set up on the 'patio' is quite nice.
It is a quiet street due to Broadway being closed at the moment so you do not have people passing by close to your table etc.
The patio is also 'deep' so you have plenty of room to enjoy your meal unlike so many other places where they must set up on a crowded sidewalk or in the street with lots of noise and people.
I highly recommend!
The food, service and ambience were outstanding!
The food was all very good, BUT the sautéed broccoli and garlic was outstanding . . . possibly the best I've ever had at a restaurant. My dining partner started rolling his eyes because I was apparently enthusing to the excess. For the broccoli alone I would recommend La Masseria.
I've always loved La Masseria, it is our go-to for pre/post theater dining. Even though there is no theater right now, it is still on the top of my list. While I do miss the bar, it was nice to be back and enjoy the food and lovely service. Always a favorite and they are doing a great job serving al fresco!
Great outdoor service in very nice setting with cover over most of the tables.
Food was really good, but the service was attentive and we felt very welcome.
I have been to La Masseria before, in normal times for pre-theater dinner. In past, we were always rushed and didn't truly appreciate it. Now, enjoying a leisurely outdoor dinner in a safely spaced, peaceful outdoor spot, we realized that the food is excellent. The pasta con vongole and the branzino were cooked to perfection. The salad was fresh with the right amount of dressing. The service was attentive and friendly. A lovely wine list. What a treat! I would recommend taking advantage of this "quiet" time in NYC to visit La Masseria and enjoy all that it has to offer.
Food very good...service was spotty. Couldn’t find waiters
We popped in for a quick lunch and were very pleasantly surprised. We ended up ordering an appetizer, champagne and pasta. We lingered and visited. It was fantastic! Delicious food and great ambiance. We will definitely go back.
We ate here last year on our Spring Break trip and it was amazing! This year, however, was beyond disappointing. The gnocchi was truffle based instead of tomato based which gave it a bitter taste and the caprese salad was also changed...not for the better. My husband’s pasta was dry. Too many good restaurants in NYC to go here again.
Food was very authentic Italian. Wait staff knowledgeable and helpful. The fact that they spoke Italian as well made me feel back at home in Italy.
Creative menu, excellent food and dedicated service conveniently located near theatre district
We had a wonderful dinner with terrific service. We were late due to our show running longer than expected, and it was no problem. Have been here before and will return!
Daughter’s birthday....wonderful lunch and they were very, very good about the many food allergies she has. Can’t wait to go back.
It was good, but a little bit pricey for what you get.
this place is fantastic. Great service, professional but unobtrusive. The food was beyond wonderful. The salad was perfectly dresses with fresh ingredients. The pasta was lighter than air and so delicious this may be my new fave place. Alas the desserts looked wonderful but we had theatre tickets and could not try any. I will be back tho' for all these reasons.
Great authentic southern Italian food....great service!!!
Good restaurant but overpriced and that pasta overcooked
The service and food were great, especially the homemade pasta and daily specials.
Excelent for a romantic dinner, this is a superv italian alternative in NYC
Great restaurant ..... Not my first time dining at there. I love it.
Always a terrific experience. Great food and attentive service. If you can, go between 7:30 and 9:30 while everyone else is at the theater. It turns into a quiet neighborhood gem
Extremely efficient service. As per our request, both the salad and main course plates were divided between 2 of us in the kitchen- more than enough food (and very tasty). A little noisy, but a good experience overall.
I highly recommend this fabulous restaurant! We went pre-theatre and absolutely loved everything about our dining experience.
The buratta appetizer was sufficient to share between 4 people & we also had the carpaccio. The rib eye steaks were done to perfection and the vegetarian in our group had the prawns. Also amazing.
P.S. I also recommend the play we saw which was right across the street - Diana. David Bryan (Bon Jovi key board player and song writer for the musical Diana, wAs at the table next yo us with his family and friends for the opening night of previews)
The food was amazing. Wait staff was well versed and extremely accommodating in explaining the specials. Our experience was outstanding. We were served lunch and not rushed out. We had plenty of time to make our 2:00 play perform Highly recommend this lovely place and will be back soon
