Food was delicious and such good quality
I could taste the wonderful olive oil that they use and the artichokes were fresh and perfectly cooked
My fiancé and I were in NY for a few days and were looking for some good Italian food close to our hotel. We had strolled by this place several times and it was crowded so we decided to make a reservation and give it a try. The food very good our server was very attentive. The room is busy but not so busy that it affects your experience. At first they put us at a table close to a few folks who were talking very loud, like VERY loud. The manager saw our faces and immediately asked us if we wanted another table. Even though they were busy we got another table. I’m from the NE, so I understand being elbow to elbow however these folks were bordering on obnoxious. Excellent move by the manager. We had seen reviews where folks thought they were rushed through their meal, we were not. They do turn over tables quickly and move you along by removing plates when you’re finished, but I prefer that. We didn’t plan to sit for hours. We both had the fettuccine with marinara, it was on point. Bread was fresh, drinks were perfect. Server visited us just frequently enough. Plenty of food. I would dine here again, no matter where I sit. Great authentic Italian food !!!
LaMasseria never disappoints. Attentive staff, food is fresh and delivered hot from the kitchen. The consistency of this restaurant over the years attests to it's attention to detail. This is the reason we keep going back!
Not on the top of my list but might return.
Great for a theater meal
We always go to La Masseria when we’re in the city. Perfect lunch place if you need to make it to a show. They get you out fast, without feeling like you’re being rushed. They have fabulous wines by the glass and the best pasta. Even a dish as simple as spaghetti if great. Also the best cappuccino.
Great food and wonderful people working there. We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant and would return without hesitation. I highly recommend it.
Perfect pasta to sauce ratio in my mind. Had the pasta special it was delicious
It was wonderful throughout. Great waiter....outstanding food....
Everything was amazing and the staff so helpful. We had a mix up of reservation, which was my fault, but they got us a table anyway. I had a vegan pasta dish that was great. Will definitely come back!
Waiter was not attentive. Severs were great but waiter did not come back and check on us until the bill. Food was good. Fun atmosphere.
This was our second time dining at La Masseria and it was just an good as our first visit. Would highly recommend!
Delicious Italian cuisine! Loved the pasta. Beautiful restaurant! Reservations on time and service good! Love their location in Florida also!
The food was AMAZING. I had the penne pasta with bacon and mozzarella cheese in a cream tomato sauce. Everything about this dish was fabulous. I also had the ricotta cheesecake which was phenomenal. Overall I was extremely impressed by the food. The service was also excellent. From the moment we stepped in we felt very welcomed. Would highly recommend
50th birthday dinner in NYC with a friend. Service was amazing and the food was delicious although portion size was huge! Sadly sat at side by the heating which cannot be changed by restaurant so overheated and was really uncomfortable and had to stand outside to try and call down! Such a shame because then I wanted to leave sooner than I would because of temperature. Otherwise great place for dinner!
I live in TN and a friend of mine highly recommended the restaurant, he was spot on service and food. I will defently recommend La Masseria to anybody that wants excellent service and outstanding good.
Good spot for a business lunch, very good service, varied menu choices!
Great restaurant to go to before a show. Nice wine list & the food is delicious. This was our second visit.
This is 3rd time here when we visit NYC. It is absolutely wonderful- food is delish, service is impeccable, atmosphere is great! We’ll be back!
I was very disappointed in the seafood-it was not fresh at all-red snapper and shrimp.
Did not disappoint! My only place to eat when in NY
We had a great dinner, as usual. We celebrated my wife’s birthday which ended with a serenade by the wait staff. Nice!!
good, solid, wholesome italian food. Place a bit overpriced but it may be because we ordered truffle, which by the way, was just fantastic. Neighborhood iffy, ambiance lackim, food and service outstanding
Great food and lively vibe - service was excellent! A great NYC Italian restaurant close to theaters
Everything outstanding from breadsticks & focaccia to Orata & fried zucchini to dessert. Yum!
As always everything about the restaurant is impeccable! Everything! The service the food and the ambience are truly one of the best in New York
We are from Pittsburgh and come every year at this same time. This is our third time here, and it never disappoints!! Service was amazing, and the food was as well!
Wonderful experience at La Masseria! The food was outstanding and the staff was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended for a true italian dining experience!
Wonderful food. Quaint atmosphere and attentive service
Lovely restaurant with excellent food. Veal was tender and my husband loved the bolognese sauce. Soup of the day, potato zucchini creamy. Will be back.
The best food in the theater district.
Felt like we were rushed to turn over the table. Food is very good. My family is in the food business and we are from The Foggia region and thought we would give it a try. Too quick to try to get me out the door to get my endorsement.
We enjoyed our dinner at La Masseria very much. The food was very good and the service was attentive. I had mentioned that we had theater tickets, and they made sure that we were served our meals promptly so that we did not feel rushed and got out in enough time to walk to the theater. Our only complaint was that the person who was busing our table asked us about four times, before we were even served our entree, if we were done with the bread basket. Were they short on bread baskets?
Always enjoy dining there! In town for a few days and went last minute. Always yummy, service is impeccable.
Food always consistently good; service always consistently ok- no matter when I dine here I always feel as though the servers push the ordering and delivery of food to the
Very nice restaurant and would highly recommend; the food was amazing and the staff was very accommodating !
Always a wonderful place to meet friends. The staff is so genuine and friendly. And the food is always terrific. the Orreciette with Broccoli Rabe and Veal Milanese are standouts. Watch out for the "Happy Birthday" singing waitstaff...they are a complete Broadway chorus rolled into one song!
We had a good meal, though the prices were rather high - even for NYC. The burrata salad special was very good, but the cost for a salad was obscene. We enjoyed our entrees and found them well prepared. The wine selection was good and our waiter very attentive. I’d go back, but probably stay away from specials. Stick with the pasta dishes, which were well prepared.
Amazing service, delicious/authentic Italian food - would highly recommend! The front entrance was a bit hectic with people checking-in/waiting to be seated and the bar is located near the front as well which created some traffic, so best to have a reservation to be sat quickly and avoid the wait!
Great restaurant, ate a nice quiet meal before a show.
Would def go back!
