About La Masseria RI
La Masseria Restaurant is inspired from ancient fortified farmhouses that in the Puglia Region of Italy are called “Masseria”. Executive Chef/Co-Owner, Pino Coladonato, grew up on a Farm in Puglia. He was forced to eat whatever was available but soon was tired of bean puree and decided to take matters into his own hands, creating new ways to use the same few ingredients. Now, with limitless ingredients to choose from, fava beans, chickpeas and lentils are still a core element in many of his entrees. Interior Designer Libby Langdon has created a warm, inviting dining atmosphere. Rustic and relaxed, with plenty of old world charm. Oversized iron sconces custom made from antique wrought iron gates punctuate the walls, and artful displays of antique farm tools mixed with various authentic Italian photographs all add to the farmhouse appeal. The wine list encompasses all regions of Italy with few of the best American and the rest of the world.

La Masseria RI Ratings and Reviews
Food was tremendous. Went for the rabbit specifically, and was not let down. Ordered a couple of the special apps; they were amazing. Wish we had room for all of them. Jim was a most welcoming and pleasant bartender, and Justin was the perfect waiter; spot on recommendations, and very attentive without being intrusive. Can't wait to go back.
Went there with a few friends and had a great time.
I had gotten the gazpacho soup for an app, and it was one of the best I have ever eaten
2 of us ordered the Veal Saltimbocca, which was on special. It was very good
1 had ordered the sushi grade tuna and said it was excellent.
The portions are reasonable and the quality of the food and service are excellent.
We will definitely go back
We came for a Sunday dinner. Wine is 25% off the munu price on Sundays. We had 4 different appetizers and 4 different main courses. We shared amount the group and all were excellent. Service was a bit slow as our waited had both inside and outside tables.
We will be back in a few weeks.
The food was delicious. We got the octopus and scuttle fish appetizer and it was cooked perfectly. We also got the mussels, which were fair. A little disappointing
2 of us got the new special, octopus on mahi-mahi, and it was fantastic.
2 others ordered the tuna and said it was cooked perfectly
By far the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to in Rhode Island. All of the pastas are handmade, ricotta cheese mozzarella and burrata are all hand made in the restaurant. I came here with my family for a graduation dinner and had the special egg yolk ravioli and it was the best food I have ever had. I will be coming here often. Definitely get the Italian cheesecake at the end. It is like nothing you have ever tasted. Their pink sauce is to die for as well.
The menu was extensive and had something for everyone in our party. We chose to split 3 appetizers after originally ordering 2--when in doubt, always try more here. All of our entrees were phenomenal. The ravioli was out of this world and we recommend highly. Finally, we split 3 desserts as well. We went on Mother's Day and we ordered many items off the specials menu. Definitely would recommend trying specials. Meals were on the pricier side, but were absolutely worth it.
Very disappointed in the quality of the food.
Clams oreganata which was a special, were tasteless
and in no way did they resemble oreganata.
The tuna special was nothing to go back for at $31.00
Was expecting so much more. Our waiter left before
finishing up with our table so we waited about 20 minutes
for a check from a different waiter who kind of forgot us.
Can't imagine if the were busy at that time how long we would have waited.
Will not be returning for another chance.
This was our first time dining at LaMasseria and certainly won't be our last. From the moment we arrived to when we left, the service was amazing. The staff was personable, polite and extremely professional. Our meals were absolutely delicious. We can't wait to come back. Looking forward to more fabulous food and service!!!!
Waiter Israel was excellent. We were celebrating our anniversary and a friend called the restaurant to give us a gift of drinks and dessert. Israel recognizing it was a special occasion made us very welcome, congratulated us and engaged us in a very special conversation about his own marriage and family. He took the extra time to make the night very special for us. Great food and service as well.
