Excellent food with impeccable service. We were never rushed. A wonderful dining experience.
After months securing a reservation, the wait was worth it. The pasta specials of ravioli stuffed with shrimp and artichoke and homemade fettuccini with fresh truffles were fantastic. Both pastas were as light as air and when shaving the truffles, they did not stop until we said basta. Our scallop/artichoke appetizer and main course of sea bass with jumbo shrimp both were in exquisitely light oils/tomatoes sauces. In all, a fabulous dining experience.
Exceeded our expectations. Would definitely dine here again!
Delicious food! Great service! We had lunch before a show! Delightful experience!
I have been to la Masseria dozens of times and each time I go we love it even more
Excellent food and service
Anniversary- great meal but just very noisy so difficult to hear. We were sat by a table of very excited people
Pre-matinee lunch. Delish!
I was taking a friend to lunch for her birthday and then to Theatre. We had such a good time. Our waiter couldn’t have been nicer!
Excellent pasta. The swordfish special was also great. One of my children's favorite dinner ng experiences ever
We had a wonderful time.
Great food and service.
We ate here for my birthday last Sunday. We had a reservation and they took us exactly on time even though they were very crowded. I ordered salmon from the special Restaurant Week menu and my husband ordered the ravioli. Both dishes were excellent. This will be my go to restaurant in the theatre district.
I’ve been there several times and everything is always very very good! However, this last visit was annoying because of the background music. It was loud... boom boom boom...belonged in a dance club. I mentioned it to the staff. They said it’s the music loop. I hope they go soft by next visit.
Had an outstanding dinner after a Sunday matinee! A great theater district find!
Always fabulous!!! La Masseria never disappoints.
When we’re in Manhattan we enjoy dining at LaMasseria. The menu offers fresh and delicious options. The drinks are outstanding as is the wine list. The servers are top notch. And the reception desk treats you like a friend. This is a favorite of ours.
This my 2nd time dining at La Masseria I was here in NYC
last year visiting , we enjoyed it so much we came back again this year ! Food is wonderful we ordered the zucchini
Sticks as an appetizer they were amazing . My friends and I loved all our meals and service is spectacular. My go to Italian restaurant in NYC . Can’t wait to come back next year ..
Food was subpar, service poor, noise level high.
I’ll give them kudos for the average wine list.
I would recommend La Masseria except I would warn about the high prices. My husband and I had lunch before a matinee at $145 before the gratuity! Our waiter, Giuseppe, was outstanding and funny too!
Attentive staff, great authentic Italian food (you won’t find chicken parm here). My favorite spot when I’m in the area.
The food was very good but the service from our waiter was poor. We were greeted warmly upon arrival but went downhill from there. We didn’t get a wine list, when I asked about a particular wine he didn’t explain and just wrote it down; when we asked what the risotto of the day was he realized he hadn’t told us the specials. Once the meal was served he never came back and we had to flag someone down to order another glass of wine. We ordered dessert (sorbet) but when delivered it wasn’t clear it was the flavors ordered. Maybe because it was a table of 2 moms and 2 daughters he didn’t feel the need to give the appropriate level of attention- we have all traveled and expect great service at a restaurant like this.
Great pomodoro !!
It was restaurant week and we were offered 3 main dishes which were tasteless. Very disappointing. Will not return.
Food was very good and there were a lot of choices. They had a price fixed menu for restaurant week although we ordered from the regular menu. The only negative was that our waiter was a stiff. It was as if he didn’t want to be there. The rest of the service staff was excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, just try not to get the same waiter
Food has always been excellent at this restaurant. They never disappoint.
Really attentive staff, fast service and beautiful food. A sure bet
All was good but $20 dollar drinks was too much.
We'd loved everything about La Masseria. The food, the service, and the atmosphere was formally relaxed. In walking distance to the theater district. We agreed we would go back again.
First night in NYC for 3 of our grandchildren. Close to hotel and festive. Great food
A taste of Rome. with a dash of Manhattan in the NY Theatre district!
Delicious food dishes, excellent friendly staff and just the right amount of energy (lively, but not overwhelming). Great for a meal after the theater, open until Midnight c
We will return!
Seven friends meeting up in NYC. We were looking for a central location that would be delicious and cozy. LaMasseria completely for the bill. Something for everyone. We particularly enjoyed the eggplant mozzarella appetizer and the Bolognese. Would definitely return.
Favorite restaurant in Times Square, hands down. One of the best Italian restaurants in the city, period. The food is fantastic, but the service really is a pleasure.
This was my first visit to La Maaseria. It was my last night in NYC and I brought my wife and my mother. The ambience was bright and lively but not overwhelming. We were seated inside just where it bordered on the outside patio seating. It was comfortable. The servers were attentive and friendly. The menu had great selections. It is difficult to not want to create a 3- or 4-course meal because each course on the menu and the daily specials seem superb. The salads are large and can easily be split, especially if one is going to pursue a multi-course meal. I had to try pasta as a second course, and it met my expectations. Their pasta selection is substantial. My entree of thinly pounded grilled chicken was served with a side of cauliflower/cheese casserole which was creative and excellent. My mother had the pasta Bolognese as her main course, and it was authentic and flavorful. We split a dessert, and when we left, we were quite satisfied with our experience and felt it was a dinner time well spent. I'd go again in an instant.
Every meal is perfection. I never get tired of dining at La Masseria!
Excellent food & service. Only it was very noisy. Restaurant week menu was excellent & tiramisu was outstanding
Great food and service. I will come back
Great meal and great service here. Everything was delicious. Especially recommend the fried seafood appetizer (calamari, scallops, etc.). If you eat early (start 5-5:30) things start out very quiet, but other guests and the noise level will pick up and peak by around 7 PM. Seems to be a very popular place, no doubt because of the great food and service.
Food was excellent!! Can’t wait to go back!!! It is in the theater district... convenient to all the shows!
Homemade pasta and delicious, thoughtfully prepared Italian dishes are what sets La Masseria apart from the rest of the pack.
We loved being seated in the 'loft' area, however the only downside was that it was a little tight between the tables. Because of the close proximity, our server was on top of us literally and figuratively to fill our water glasses and keep our table clean. That was the only negative too.
