Had a great meal, I love oysters so I thought I would try them Mexican style. Broiled and covered in a cheese and sauce. I didn't hate them but the raw oysters were better. The food is authentic Mexican or trex mex if you prefer. The street had great energy so I recommend sitting outside. A little ways from the river walk but a limebike
It was very busy with large parties, but our waiter was still attentive. We were visiting for my hubby's birthday which we indicated on the copen table app, but they didn't acknowledge it. By the end of dinner we were ready to go home and we were full so we didn't mention his birthday.
Touristy spot but fun. Food was as expected. Service was friendly
had a great time!! food was great and loved the mariachi band
We had a really good time here our waiter was fantastic and the food was delicious.
Fantastic Food. My husbands favorite place to go in San Antonio, my first visit
Wonderful food and service. I got steak fajitas and my wife got short ribs. Fantastic.
Drinks are the best!
The service was outstanding! Enjoyed every bit of it
Beautiful setting, gives you a nice TexMex setting. Wonderful for my mother's 47th birthday!
The staff was very friendly and our waiter was Awesome.
Way too loud! Too loud! Very loud! Demasiado Recio!
Food was very good the enchiladas Tres colores were delicious. The mariachi music was also very enjoyable. On the down side, the young lady who served us seemed a bit annoyed at our questions and not very attentive and the prices are quite inflated in my opinion. One can get the same quality food in SA for about half the price.
Rice was dry. My daughter had her 21st birthday and was not able to have her 1st drink with family..... NOT HAPPY!!!!
Took a group here for a fun business dinner and it worked perfectly. Everyone had a great time. The margaritas were a big hit and the food was delicious. The service was attentive, but not in a way that interfered with the flow of our conversation. I enjoyed it so much, I went back alone a few days later, just to savor my meal.
Always feel rushed by wait staff. Hurry and order. Hurry and drink. Hurry and eat. Hurry and pay.
Annoying. We always enjoy eating here, but this time not so much. May or may not go back.
Great happy hour!
The atmosphere was good but the food was mediocre. The tortilla chips, salsa, chicken enchiladas, and beef fajitas were below average.
the real down side was that we went for the $1 oyster special on Sunday at 1100am (the ONLY reason we'd go there).... they refused to serve us alcohol unless we bought entree's and the oysters did not count. TBAC states that an appetizer is sufficient. Needless to say, after a discussion with the manager, we ordered entrees we didn't even eat. We wont be returning due to the upcharge.
We absolutely love LaMargarita. We have been going a few times a year for 30 years. We have never been disappointed.
Thanks. The food was good, the mango margarita was outstanding. Service was good. Great for celebrating a special occasion.
Great service and delicious food....we brought out of town visitors and they loved the mercado location. The mariachis were wonderful (but song prices have escalated)!
There were five of us, three being from out of town. Everyone loved their meal!
Service and food ok. Drinks were good. Ambience and street scene made the place fun.
Awesome service from Victor! Good night for bday celebration
We were in town for my nephews graduation from basic training. My son has life threatening allergies and they went above & beyond to make sure his food was safe! Great atmosphere & service! Food was good! Would definitely recommend!
Great atmosphere. Food was delicious! Service was A+
Quite a busy Saturday afternoon but La Margarita had everything organized and our table was ready on time. We were a large party of 13. Service was spot-on, margaritas were perfect, fajitas were good and the overall atmosphere was fun. We weren't rushed and were able to sit and enjoy ourselves after eating. Our server was able to make recommendations, was very prompt and remembered everything the first time asked. We had several small children in our party and he was very accommodating to their needs. A great place and a great time had by all!
Loved the area, cultural and colorful!
Arrived 30 minutes prior to closing on a Monday the staff was friendly and helpful. The service was very good. Our food arrive and was good, not piping hot or as fresh as we were used to and a bit different from the cuisine of Oklahoma Mexican restaurants. The con queso no so tasty, my chicken fajitas not so tender. Staff was nice and accommodating. Food is good. A bit pricey dinner average price $15 for tamales, tacos, quesadillas that’s pricey!
The food was delicious and the service was amazing! I had a great birthday dinner. Will be returning!
Restaurant is fun, lively and has Mariachis available. Drinks are good and fast and food is delicious.
Excellent manager great service. All very kind. People sing asking to much money
Ordered two drinks a beer&a mixed drink. That took about 15mins to get,our food was good service was ok.
Great Mexican food and colorful decoration by the Historic Market Square. Highly recommended.
Staff was great and the food was amazing
Hector the waiter made the experience memorable. Good food and the Don Margaritas were great.
I have been here before and loved it, I wanted to show my from from out of town this vibrant restaurant that I remember. When seated it took a 12 minutes for the waitress to even greet us, we were never given silver wear until we had to ask for it AFTER our food arrived, our waitress only checked on us to ask if things were okay (just to say she did not actually mean it ), never offered to refresh our beverages we had to ask (it got to a point that we had to ask for thing expecting them to be done in 10-12 minutes) we were without beverages for a while multiple times, when skeptical about one item on the menu the waitress fabricated the portion of the appetizer, when receiveed we were a little confused and she responded by “yeah that’s what I said” when it in fact was not. It was the little things that added up to a lot. There were items on my plate I asked to specifically not be there because of allergies, but I was unwilling to wait another 30 minutes for my food. After she forgot our orders the first time. Probably won’t return again ):
My favorite restaurant when I visit San Antonio for the past 35 years.
