The dinner menu of “Miami temptations” Was only ok. I would say poor in comparison with the other dishes that we ordered (we really liked the conchitas a la parmesana, the octopus and the salmon)
Fantastic service, the entrees were delectable, I even received a surprise birthday cake! The views are breathtaking! Do your yourselves a favor and give this restaurant a-go, you will not be disappointed!
Fantastic, little noisy but this is my favorite
A steady level of service and food quality that is very rare! The menu offers a range of meat and fish choices . That lets you enjoy the flavors of Peru. Of special note the Sunday Brunch is exceptional and worth a trip to enjoy.
Too loud! And be aware that they charge 9% taxes vs. 7% for most of the restaurants in Miami.
This place is fantastic! I went for my anniversary and it was definitely a perfect choice for me. Great food, great service. The view is beautiful!
The ambiance and the service was good. The special fried rice was delicious. The ceviche was bland and too small to share, the conch dish was really blah - no real flavor, we left most of it. BYW, we love conch. The conchitas a la Parmesana were good. Overall the food was a bit underwhelming. Maybe it was a bad night.
Sadly the problem with La Mar is poor management and organization of the reservations. I specifically indicated that I wanted outside sitting and that this was my niece’s birthday just to hit hey the same “we cannot sit you outside and get a second class inside sitting! My nephew look very young and the manager made the point to be sure he could not consume wine just because he was not carrying a picture ID for not being from the country. He did not have the curtesy to talk to us because he could not be seated where we requested but enough to spoil the mood of the 26 year old man visiting Miami. This is for sure my very last visit to La Mar!
Food and service was very good. The view is beautiful but the music was very loud and annoying. Initially were supposed to sit inside but we could not even hear ourselves speak let alone hear the waitress. We requested to move outside which was just as bad. Definitely not dinner music. It felt like we walked into a dance club and the vibe was like being at a late club bar. We were celebrating our Anniversary and they did not even acknowledge it. We were at 4 different restaurants during our stay there and all of them made our meal extra special because of our Anniversary. Extra drinks, deserts, etc. Our Waiter never mentioned it even after we told him why we were there and we were ready to leave. We asked about the corkage fee because we had a nice bottle of wine back at the room that we wanted to drink but were told that the corkage fee would be $100 and honestly they were indifferent about it. Almost to the point that made us feel like it was not something that they wanted to do. I must add that we tried 6 different dishes including the main course that we split because we wanted to try as much on the menu that we could and it was all delish. All came out on a timely manner and the presentation was awesome.
We would definitely return but only if something is done about the music. When we eat dinner we like to be able to sit back and relax!!!
Service was not what I expected for a Mandarin Oriental.
Quise usar Miami Spice y no aplica los viernes y sábado. Mucha letra chica por parte de La Mar. Una pena.
Great service and delicious food. I definitely recommend and will be back next time we visit Miami!
With a reservation to eat outside, we waited almost an hour, that when we were sitted, the kitchen almost closed.
The food was very tasty, the atmosphere spectacular, but it took a long time to get the dishes to the table
Amazing place to have a great moment.
It was my first time at Miami and it was my best place to eat
Service, food everything was perfect.
I'll recommand you for sure.
Food was good as was service. Desert was sub par. Ambiance is delightful!! Beautiful!
Got a recommendation and I love it , the food the service the vibe and of course the view ❤️
My experience at this restaurant was excellent. The food was great and the service was exceptional. All the servers gave amazing customer service. I was left satisfied.
Excellent food and Svc
You have to be careful with the waitress, mine was i little be rude, the restaurant is awesome
One of the best meals of 2019! Every dish was unique. A great introduction to Peruvian cuisine modernized but based on traditional seasonings and peppers. The wait staff were all very knowledgable and I have a shopping list of ingredients to find locally.
Great place to have Peruvian food. Second time I've been here and again they lived up to the expectations. Great value for money Miami Spice menu.
the best food ever, great service and beautyful place, a little bit loud cause a lot people talking at same room but is normal nothing to do about it.
service was not good.
it is so loud, you can not have a conversation.
food was good.
drinks are over priced (specially pisco ones)
I have been on another locations of this chain, it is a shame that one of the most beautiful ones is not the best in flavor and seasoning.
Wonderful place. All raw appetizers were outstanding (Tiradito and Cebiche) and main course was great too.
High quality of food. Beautiful and creative dishes. Service is very good and personnel prepared and customer oriented. The only thing I would improve is the noise.
Very good food.
The only bad thing was the gave me a reservation at 10:30 and the close at 11:00, I ordered food and a bottle, they were not rushing me, but I felt rush.
The food is amazing, the service was great. Not giving full 5 stars because it's really noisy.
As always, food, drinks, service exceptional. Best Lomo Saltado on earth, and the scallops in Parmesan foam might be the most decadent dish in Miami.
One of the best view if you are sitting outside. Food & Drinks are good.
Everything was fantastic…the ceviche, the main courses… Service was excellent as well.
The place is really nice, the ambience is good, the view at night must be amazing. I went for lunch. The food was okay, there are plenty other Peruvians with amazing food. This place has the view but the taste is average. Wouldn’t go back.
This is a very versatile application restaurant that could very well be a dinner date or business meeting, as well as a family lunch. The service is fantastic and the wine list is well curated for the menu. Highly recommended. The causas, cebiche sampler and pulpo among others are to-die-for.
The bar and cocktail choices are exciting. All with a Peruvian twist. But not overwhelming for those that like me are not big fans of pisco sour.
The only drawback is the music and loudness. It was too loud. Sound barriers on the ceiling would be great. It would make a world of difference. Sadly, it was so loud that we kind-off swallowed our meal out of the restaurant. It reminded me of how loud ceviche 105 is.
If the music aspect is corrected. This please would be perfect.
This is an expensive, gourmet restaurant inside a 5-Star hotel, where you are supposed to be able to talk with friends. Music is NOT for this kind of restaurant. It’s TOO LOUD, more for a club. Very disappointed on the noise level. It would be according with the fine people who is used to go to fine restaurants.
The food pretty good even do portions are very small, overall this place its really tasty, but i was very disappointed on the pizco sour, this is a tradicional beverage and was not impressed the bartender had the mix in the blender pre made and was to sweet ive tried much better places in miami !
Cuisine was outstanding with a traditional Peruvian flavor coupled with the appropriate portion of food. Seatings was nice, private and quiet. Service was first class and price was reasonable with a Miami spice option.
