Staff was very attentive and professional. Beautiful setting. Excellent cuisine. Was there solo for my last meal in vacation and I felt privileged to be there.
It's too far to be good Peruvian food, the ceviche taste was normal, I was hoping something incredible, I don't want to offend but was almost the worst ceviche that I tested.
I love the view of the place and the food.
The server was really good.
What I didn't like was that I make a reservation and they gave me the table after 1 hour.
Delicous food! Highly recommended
An incredible culinary experience to be shared amongst couples or friends. True Peruvian gastronomy with a twist!
Great experience but server could have been better. At one point after my wife asked about if cheese was pasteurized, the guy told me that “those pregnant chicks” asked about that all the time. Guy never read through the lines that wife was pregnant and this was a baby moon dinner.
Best ceviche in Miami. Best pisco sour in Miami. Everything perfectly perfect.
What an amazing experience! We went for my husband's birthday dinner and were absolutely delighted. It was cool enough to sit outside (the noise level inside was too lively for us) and enjoyed the Miami skyline and Biscayne Bay view -- there are so few restaurants in Miami that offer this. Since we are not super familiar with Peruvian cuisine we opted for the chef's tasting menu which did not disappoint and was well-worth the $85 per person. The food was spectacular. The service was also top-rate. One nice touch -- they were out of the wine we had ordered so the sommelier offered us a bottle that was twice the cost at the same price as our original order -- an repeated that wonderful gesture with the second bottle (there were four of us). This restaurant deserves a Michelin star!
My wife and I enjoyed La Mar. The food was very good and the view/location was great; we sat on the patio overlooking the Miami river. Our service was very good also. I recommend the restaurant for those interested in having good Peruvian-based foods; food quality was fresh and menu had a great range of options. Separately, the restaurant is in the Mandarin hotel. After dinner, we sat in the hotel bar area and listened to a great trio (trumpet, guitar, and drums). It was a great date-night out in Miami!
My wife and I ordered the chef’s choice menu and loved it. The food was delicious and abundant. The pisco sours are to die for. The service was perfect: courteous, discreet and allowing us to savor all dishes without hurrying us. I completely recommend this restaurant on all levels.
Previous concert dinner love the food and the fusion
Expensive but worth it! That sort of view, service, and food is worth the money and is honestly a fair price point for the experience.
It was a very nice place good ambiance food was pretty good, I wouldn’t say amazing but would def come back
Gaston Acurio è un genio !!!
We tried it in Miami spice but fixed meal was not what you would expect for a place like that, I think should not try to make money with a $23 meal... they are trying to win new costumers, would not come back. Besides, did not like to be charged 18% gratuity and also tip...
Appetizers were fantastic and fresh . Lacking diversity and interesting choices in main courses + were not outstanding.
Amazing food. Great view. Will definitely return
Everything was excellent
Stunning view of the downtown skyline as the light fades, pure magic. Interesting food. Everyone loved what they ardered.
I had been wanting to visit this restaurant that has Gaston Acurio's signature cuisine. Nevertheless, I was disappointed with the quality of the food for the price paid. I enjoyed the meal but it lacked flavor. I have had better Peruvian food other places. Overall, for the price we spent for a meal for two it was not worth it.
I been to this restaurant three years ago first coming to miami I remember the food was so good that I had to come back I ordered the same thing as I did three years ago and this time it was not as delightful as last time it’s had a gas oven taste to Which was not enjoyable beside that had a amazing experience
Omg excellent service and the food was amazing..i cant ask for more.
Muy bueno. La comida exquisita, lo único que no me gusto fue que nos tomamos dos copas de vino en la barra esperando la mesa afuera y en la cuenta nos impusieron el 18% de propina.
Food was as good as you can expect from a La Mar restaurant. Portions however did not follow the trend.
Service could use A LOT of improvement. Our server was never around. There were times when we did not have any wine on our glasses. We had to ask them to bring the remaining dishes. Very much unlike the regular experience at other La Mar restaurants. Disappointing
Our experience was amazing.
Beautiful view, Good food and good service.
Came for spice extremely excited to finally try La Mar. the spice menu was pretty limited (2 options for app and entree and 1 dessert). I’ll start off and say the service was trash, don’t know if our waiter was having a rough day but he walked passed us a few times without asking how our meal was...found out that tip was included at the end and I’m always iffy about this. It’s the norm in most restaurants in brickell and the beach, sometimes I find that servers still work for there tip and other times (like this) the waiters just pass on giving great service. Honestly the lady bringing us water and the young man who was bringing our dishes out were both much more enjoyable, attentive, and pleasant than Ryan our waiter!
As far as food we ordered the caritellero ceviche (had no spice in it at all, which was the only reason we ordered it, had to ask for rocoto) even with that it was just okay
There were some stars of the spice menu, the lo mein was probably the best lo mein I’ve ever had and the first appetizer with what seemed like fried squid ink dumplings? In a delicious and refreshing green sauce was incredible.
The rest was eh, the dessert was definitely nothing to rave about. The chocolate lava cake was far too dark and rich to truly be enjoyed.
Honestly left disappointed especially since I had been dying to try this place for years
The view was obviously gorgeous
Beautiful restaurant, amazing view, excellent service and the food is exquisite
I strongly recommend the restaurant, food , service and the whole environment is perfect
Excellent location with an amazing view of the skyline. The table took a good 30 min to be ready which made us wait a little, but no big deal overall, also considering it is in high demand. One small minus would be trying to get the bartenders attention for a while, but we got our drinks quickly after ordering.
They gave us a great table right by the shore
The ceviche and tataki were good, but the pork belly sauce didnt really please my pallet (though perfectly cooked).
They made it memorable by arranging a little cake & candle for our anniversary, therefore overall we left very happy.
We look forward to come back to try something new. Will definitely recommend the place to friends and colleagues
Well done to the whole team!
Amazing peruvian fare in Miami. Very high end quality and service without the high price. Loved it and looking forward to trying Gaston's restaurant in Peru.
Por favor prueben el pulpo al olivo y el arroz acevichado...es lo máximo!!!
Excellent food!!! Totally works the price!!!
The food was incredible, as always. However, my date and I were very disappointed that the outdoor seating was not available. No explanation was provided. When we asked, our server simply said it was closed. This is the primary reason I visit this beautiful restaurant, for the spectacular views of the city while enjoying a delicious meal and a glass of wine.
The indoor seating was pleasant but, extremely poor views of the city, as most of the windows were obstructed. I will call ahead next time to ask if the outdoor seating is available. I took this for granted and disappointed my date after showing her the spectacular views from photographs of the restaurant’s beautiful outdoor seating area from the web site.
Amazing food and service.
We booked it using the Miami Spice link, and even call to confirm the reservation. However, once we got there, they told us that Miami Spice was not available that night. Even though prior to the dinner I called, to make sure it would be the Miami Spice rates, they never said anything that for that night I could not use Miami Spice. I ended up spending over $200, instead of what was promised by the program. Service was not as expected for the price at all. Very disappointed with the experience.
Overrated restaurant Not good at all
Food was very good just one plate was too salty
