Hostesses were a bit unfriendly. Server was ok. Glass for the water had lipstick stain! Food was excellent.
Better than ever. And the best pisco sour outside the Country Club in Lima
Service was subpar for a restaurant of this caliber. It was made worse by the waiter asking if we wanted our change back from our payment despite the bill already being inclusive of 18% gratuity, far more than what he deserved as a result of his poor quality of service.
Espectacular, el mejor sitio donde he ido a comer en Miami.
we were attended by the waiter Rafael, who demonstrated a lot of knowledge, not only of the dishes served, but also of the wines I tasted.
Excellent food and service.
We were celebrating birthday of our friend. He and his wife were in Gaston's restaurant in Peru. They enjoyed it there. Our server was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the m. Foods were great and Peruvian drinks were wonderful. I enjoyed it verymuch.
everything was superb, especially the cerviche Nikkei and the Mole Nikkei. Excellent if very expensive wine list.
La nourriture est bonne, le service également .
Bcp trop de bruit néanmoins
Awesome, everything. As always. Our waiter, the food, the manager and the waitress, Jennifer, were as lovely as it could get.
Amazing place with great view. Service was perfect, food was excellent. I would definitely revisit this place. I loved it.
Food was amazing, service was great, just pricey. $17 drinks, main course was like $55 each
The views are spectacular, but the food and the service were a bad experience. Our waiter only came to our table like two times, and when I asked for the drink menu he told me "sure", but never came back with it so I let it slide. Then he didnt come back, at all... he would always skip our table and be gone for a long time. When we were ready to leave, we waited for over 20 minutes and he never came, so we had to ask another person that worked there to give us the check. You would expect that food would be delicious for the outrageous high price you're paying, but no. The food was terrible, the cebichero I ordered was supposed to be ceviche, jalea and causa. The ceviche literally tasted like fish soaked in water with only three drops of lime juice (very dry), the causa was fair, and the jalea was just fried seafood with no flavor. My fiance ordered chaufa, and it was missing a lot of flavor also. Overall, it was a horrible experience, it was supposed to be a nice romantic dinner but instead we left feeling disappointed. We may only return for the drinks in the outdoor bar area and for the views.
Amazing, different food in a beautiful setting. Was going to visit other restaurants but after my first meal at Mar, ate all the rest of my meals there. Something different each day!
Wonderful food. Excellent taste on the seafood. We were encouraged to share and I’m glad we did; portions are generous. This isn’t a cheap place but the quality and killer service made it very memorable and worthwhile.
Very accommodating and friendly staff. Food was fast scallops were delicious. Portions were large enough. The dishes are good maybe i'm not a fan of peruvian overall. We had a great time dinned inside this time. Last time was outside and that was great as well.
La Mar has a beautiful view with outstanding staff and delicious food! Our waitress was awesome too! We had 5 dishes and each one was flavorful and had their own elegance to it. This restaurant is definitely a must try. And this place is one of my FAVORITE restaurants by far. You will not be disappointed.
Great food, great service and atmosphere was nice. Definitely recommend going here next time you are in Miami
Beautiful view, and amazing food! I will most definitely go back.
Restaurant is very loud, music did not match the restaurant style, service was very slow, portions were small, drinks took extremely long to arrive, not worth returning.
First time here and it was very satisfying. The service is excellent and the food is delicious. Great experience.
Beautiful restaurant in a gorgeous setting with outstanding service!
The place was extremely nice, perfect for a romantic date. The environment was high up. The food was an amazing experience, including the cocktails, but what we love the most it was the service and attention from the waitresses, excellent organization!
Malgré plusieurs demandes (a la réservation et en arrivant au restaurant), aucune attention spéciale pour l’anniversaire...
My husband and I went for our 2 year anniversary and had an amazing experience! The food was delicious, the ambiance and the music was perfect.
Food was delicious and quite different. Service was excellent too. Highly recommend it
Trop cher pour des plats très moyens. Cadre agréable et service appréciable.
Beautiful, incredible view of brickell, food and service was outstanding.
The food was so light, fresh and absolutely delicious. The service we received was astounding. I would recommend La Mar to anyone visiting or living in Miami!
Even tho I had a reservation, I was kept waiting for extensive time. After our party was seated, we waited almost half an hour for the server to arrive and another half an hour for the drink to arrive. Food was quick and good but wish the overall experience was improved by the front of the house staff.
We were looking forward to eating at La Mar during our visit to Miami. We were seriously let down by the food and the service by the waiter was supbar. Although the bussers were great. We were very much looking forward to the ceviche sampler and were shocked to find the fish used in the ceviche to be smelly and not fresh at all. The grilled seafood platter was a good value and tasted good but wasn't extraordinary. The desserts were the best part of the meal. We received a free chocolate raspberry mousse cake as a anniversary gift and ordered the chocolate journey which was delicious but we didn't know what we were eating. We are accustomed to having explanations of our food and we didn't receive any unless we asked which was frustrating. We felt that the money we paid went towards the amazing view and location which is the best we have experienced.
We don't believe that this restaurant is worth the money and don't forget the valet costs $16!!
Not as good as usual. Service was slow, chips were stale and whole fish just too beaded and chili sauce too watery.
Got to pick up theirs game.
We took our daughter and her friend there for dinner. We had never been to a Peruvian restaurant before so the menu was a bit confusing. Our waiter took the time to go over everything with us we had the ceviche sampler. Tostadas and empanadas for starters. They were all delicious. Our entrées did not disappoint either. They were all very flavorful and well portioned. The water and Brickell skyline views are beautiful. We will definitely be back.
LaMar was wonderful. My husband and I were visiting Miami. We sat outside aside the water. The tasting menu was phenomenal. Abraham was our server and he was excellent.
I had the branzino, pan seared. It was excellent. Since I dont eat rice I was able to have a mix of delicious green veggies instead. The service was outstanding.
This restaurant was located at the Mandarin Oriental in Miami. We were in the mood for Peruvian so we figured we would give it a try. The restaurant was not very busy and the service was not very attentive.
This is sometimes normal in restaurants where gratuity is automatically included. They had a limited but decent wine selection by the glass. We ordered a couple of appetizers. I ordered a bottle of flat Panna water. We also ordered 2 main dishes. I also ordered a glass of white wine. The first issue was that my water glass had a smell. Nothing upsets me more than pouring a nice Panna water into a glass and expecting a crisp water and getting a dishwasher residue smell like it was not rinsed properly. They replaced my glass and got it right the second time. The Ceviche and octopus was great as an appetizer. They also give you plantain chips with a nice sauce to dip. Our main dishes are where we ran into an issue. The fried rice dish with vegetables and shrimp was great. The Planchaza dish started off great too. The prawns, scallops, and octopus was great. However, the calamari they used had an amonia smell once you cut into them. It was the most insignificant part of the dish and it had issues. They were all bad and had this smell once you cut into them. We informed the
