Great drinks food and service
Great food, wonderful service
the drinks were poor, the bar didn't have the right accompaniments for my drink, the food was mediocre....with such great reviews, I expected a better experience.
We had eaten earlier at La Hacienda and both times food and service were excellent.
We will definitely return
Excellent Mexican inspired food with a twist. Great drinks and extensive Tequila and Mezcal selection. Staff was courteous and very responsive to mistake from kitchen. Would definitely visit again.
Service was excellent. The entire staff was attentive but not bothersome. Our orders were taken in a timely fashion and our food was served promptly but not in a rush. The food was not up to our expectations. We are long time Arizona residents and have, perhaps, a more traditional view of Mexican cuisine. I will add, however, that the food was of high quality. It was the preparations style we thought too unlike the Mexican style we appreciate. We did like the atmosphere, service and the surroundings and will give the restaurant another try just to be sure of our opinions.
Francesco our waiter was fabulous, very professional but warm and friendly and knew the menu extremely well. The carnitas tacos were so flavorful and a real deal since I took one home for lunch the next day. My husband had the halibut and it was delicious.
Our waiter and service was very good. Great selection of tequila. Guacamole was too salty. Entrees were nothing to write home about. Was expecting much better based on other reviews.
The food is expensive, there is nothing special about it and the server was uninterested and bordered on consdesending
Fabulous food and ambiance and service!!
We had a horrendous waiter who was only redeemed by the fact that the bus boys and women were picking up his slack. When I confronted him, nicely, about his lack of attention and service he was extremely defensive and rude. I expect better out of a 5 star hotel.
Fantastic Mexican food! Great spot for locals, not just hotel guests. Some of the best carnitas and short ribs we have ever had. Chef does a tremendoes job with flavors and is very creative.
We dined at La Hacienda after a day spent at the Phoenix Open. We had reservations and were seated promptly. Our server was friendly and efficient. The food came out quite quickly. This would be my only complaint as we wanted to enjoy our delicious cocktails and expertly prepared guacamole. The chips were perfect as well. We shared a main course (carnitas hacienda)that was perfection on a plate. Wonderfully tender pork and slaw to die for. A must dine spot when in Scottsdale.
Really enjoyed the dinner. Maybe a bit too loud. But I still have it all the stars. But I was on the fence. Between 3-4 stars.
Food was excellent but our server didn’t have the best attitude. He was a little cold to us the whole time. I would recommend the corn guacamole and braised short ribs. They were amazing!
Poor service, the waiter couldn't get the right drinks and then he kept giving them to the wrong people. Food was basically middle of the road, nothing like it was hyped to be. Drinks are pricy and weak. The mole was great, nothing else really stood out and we had four different entree's. Oh well, the spa next door was really nice.
Amazing food and drinks! The service was outstanding and I can say enough about the pear and pomm guac!!
Guacamole sampler is a must.
Such a delicious meal! Our wait staff was excellent as well.
Our experience at La Hacienda at the Scottsdale Princess was fantastic! The food is exceptional, the drinks are wonderful - especially the tequila menu, and wonderful education provided by Katie Schnurr, the Tequila Goddess. Our service with Will was perfect. He is so amiable, knowledgeable and accommodating, and he made our evening special. We were celebrating a milestone birthday for my husband, and he can't wait to go back again!
Long walk from valet to the restaurant. Beautiful courtyard though. The menu was interesting and good. Service was a bit slow though not bad even though it was not packed, but certainly busy. A great place to go for step up southwestern/Mexican food.
Excellent food and service. Among the best Mexican restaurants we have dined at in the US
I could eat the seafood enchiladas every day. They were that good. Also, I would recommend the queso and the guacamole. If you are staying at the Fairmont, no reason to leave. This will be one of your best meals.
Outstanding service with quality food. The menu had traditional Tex Mex style food to authentic mexican. The chef put his own creative flare on each of the dishes making them more unique and flavorful meals that you couldn’t find anywhere else. Great dinner overall. Would definitely go back when I’m in town next!
Food is fabulous!!!!!!
If you go for dinner, ask for Angel to serve you. Was attentive and card about our meal.
Our food and wait staff for very good; the area of the restaurant has an acoustics problem. We have been to La Hacienda and always in other areas of the restaurant. It was disappointing to meet friends and then be unable to hear one another and converse.
Nice authentically decorated Mexican restaurant food is creative notably the guacamole sampler and lobster tacos.
The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess does a fantastic job creating a wonderful family environment for the holidays! That's why we were a bit disappointed about our New Year's Eve dining experience at LaHacienda (at 5:30, party of 7 with 3 young children - so not expecting a big midnight todo). The food was very good but the amount, selection and presentation for the $75 cost per person left us a bit 'blah' - and disappointed.
Their website advertised to spend $75 and receive free admission to their Christmas festival. They refused to honor this. Very disappointing.
