I went there to celebrate my friend’s birthday. The menu was extensive but the server did a good job of recommending dishes. The food was prepared quickly and according to our specifications. The ambiance was nice and the drinks were also made well. Overall, it was a good experience and I would return.

What a welcome surprise to see soft shell crabs back on the menu. Understanding this is a seasonal fare, it was wonderful to have. Raw bar was outstanding as usual, Bluepoint oysters and shrimp cocktail always satisfies. Concluding with crème brûlée and espresso made a perfect evening.

Excellent, attentive service. Nice ambiance, as always. Main courses a disappointment. Salmon was good quality, but a bit over cooked. Sauce was analogous to chicken broth; not an ounce of seasoning. “Bland” is being charitable. Chicken, sausage and peppers were mediocre. Dry chicken, average quality sausage. Again, bland sauce raised its mediocre head. Basically, all the positives of La Griglia are offset by the bland, spice-less sauces, which are common in the Midwest and in East Coast diners, but rarely found in East Coast Italian restaurants where the average entree is $35. Will pass going forward. Brick Oven and Ferraro’s in Westfield may not have the atmosphere or professional level of service, but the food is better, and that’s where I would recommend going if food is most important.

La Griglia is always excellent - great food, courteous service. We were upstairs in the smaller dining room which was nice, as it is quieter. My pasta started and soft shells were excellent, as was my wife's crab cake and short ribs. I always feel like I could order almost anything on the menu here. Nice little touches like terrific bread, tasty olives, and a choice of butter or olive oil. Desserts could use a little sprucing up. Another nice feature is excellent wines by the glass.

One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Our server Jaime was incredibly knowledgeable and was so engaging. The food was delicious and not your typical meals you would get anywhere. It was cooked perfectly, generous portions and the flavor was unreal. We really enjoyed ourselves. Can't wait to go back.
