A garden of visual and epicurean marvels, La Grenouille serves Lunch and Dinner, Tuesday through Saturday. A spectacular three tiered skylight room with grand fireplace is available for private parties. À la Carte menu for Lunch and Dinner is served at the new “Aviator” bar designed by Philippe Masson. A bar dedicated to St. Exupery who, during the 1940’s, wrote part of the Little Prince upstairs in the Skylight room of La Grenouille.

The perfect meal and service!!
Food and service were excellent. Decor looking just a little tired. Where New York fine dining is concerned, I tend to compare everything with my gold standard, Le Bernardin. La Grenouille is in the tier of restaurants just below Le Bernardin but still very good and great for a romantic dinner.
This is a very special restaurant, everything is prepared to perfection (even the bread they bring to your table is outstanding) and served beautifully. If feels like you’ve flown to Paris in a different, more gracious, era. The Dover sole with mustard béarnaise is marvelous. Did not try the frogs legs but the pate was outstanding and the soufflés for dessert are a delight. Nothing cutting edge in terms of the menu but that’s not what one goes here for.
A Wonderfull Resturaunt the people, the food, the service, the flowers such a wonderful place to meet
Friends from Germany for lunch.
Thank you all for having the best Resturaunt for us to enjoy
A most wonderful dining experience! Delicious food and stunning decor...the flower arrangements were incredible! Celebrated our five year anniversary and look forward to returning again for many more!
Always an incredible event! Truly a luxury experience with zero comparison. The flowers, food, wine and cocktails were superb but it is the service that stands out. Truly the last of a dying breed of restaurants where you feel the staff is happy to see you and serve you a wonderful dinner.
Unique dining experience just off 5th Avenue, a step back into a by gone era where you will feel you are dining with French Aristocracy. Food and service is top notch, as are the prices.
Amazing experience. The Owner met us at the door and was so incredibly personable. Made us feel so welcome and special. The Captain waited on our table, and was so knowledgeable, attentive, and helpful with suggestions. The food was absolutely spectacular. My friend had the Dover Sole, and stated it was the absolute best she has ever had. I had the fillet, and it was cooked to perfection. The chocolate soufflé was to die for. La Grenouille has established itself as one of the best restaurants in NYC, and we concur wholeheartedly. This restaurant is truly over the top in quality, attentiveness, service, ambience, personality, and everything else that goes along with it. You have to see the flower arrangements that are personally created by the Owner. Exquisite.
$179 pre fixe was way overpriced for what the food is.
The steak and Dover sole are two of their best items but not to the same standard at le Coucou, which isn’t even at this price point. Tasty but fairly average in presentation and flavor. Lobster salad starter also tasty and maybe the one item worth the price. They had “turned off the stove” so neighboring table couldn’t even order the desert they wanted. Until when two people next to our table complained to several waiters and the manager that the experience was subpar. This should be $80 pre fixe max for what it is.
Perfect... excellent service...
Food was amazing..
Must come here if in NYC and want to impress!
This is my favorite restaurant. I have been coming here for 40 years, and it is always beautiful and
elegant and delicious....without fail.
The meal at La Grenouille was exceptional, as was the ambiance and the service.
We had a lovely pre theatre dinner before seeing Come From Away on Broadway. Our dining experience was EXCELLENT! Thank you for the memories and a reason to buy my husband a new sport coat!
Impeccable service, lovely ambience. One of us was disappointed in the tiny size of the frog legs.
Wonderful traditional high end french restaurant
Their Dover Sole was so terrible. Felt like a plastic. Wasn’t edible. I couldn’t eat it but they were nice for not charging for it though
Our 2nd visit. Great place if you want seriously over priced food in a snobby atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and head downtown to La Sirene. It’s not as fancy, but great food and far more like a typical hidden romantic Paris restaurant
I unfortunately can not recommend this restaurant to first-time/out of town visitors as we very much felt that since we were not long standing patrons, our dining experience was not given the same attention as others. Beautiful location and food was delicious. We were there to celebrate our anniversary and fully expected to spare no expense, but it did put a large damper on the evening when we could sit and watch other tables receive way more detailed and prompt service. We had to ask twice for a wine list, never offered cocktail refills while our other glasses sat empty, attempted to place our order only to be stopped mid-sentence by the captain who then went to attend to two other tables first. We are very easy going dining guests, but would truly have preferred a place that gave us the level of respect and interest that maybe a less expensive, all are welcome restaurant would have provided.
It has to be one of the top restaurants in the city, and we paid top dollar for that privilege.
Amazing place! The restaurant is beautiful and the staff is first rate!
One of the best French Restaurants in NYC. La Grenouille exudes excellence in food, service and ambiance. What more do you want in a wonderful restaurant. I highly recommend La Grenouille which happens one of my favorite go to restaurants.
The place looks beautiful as always. Service was excellent but the food was not as good as usual. Appel tart was delicious as always
La Grenouille is my favorite NY Restaurant. I love the food, which is always outstanding and impecable. I love the ambiance. It’s covered by beautiful bouquets of peonies and roses. Service is great also.
The food was spectacularly wonderful, and the room and the waiter service were fine, but the captain was not good. He grimaced disdainfully when we asked to have a few more moments before deciding on our menu, he gave a shortened description of the special we wanted when we asked him to repeat the ingredients, he did not watch the table, so I had to signal repeatedly to get my water glass filled again.
Fantastic florals, service and food - who could ask for anything more! Lunch at La Grenouille is a treat for all of the senses. From the moment you arrive and hear bonjour to the end of your meal you are transported to France. It never disappoints.
Our meal and the service was exceptional! Our waiter was so kind to our 4 year old daughter and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience.
This is where we love to go have lunch! It is consistent, beautiful, delightful.
What an experience to eat here. The food, the service and the ambience here are off the charts good. A bit pricy but worth for it for a great treat.
Excellent food, excellent service. A bit to expensive.
We have celebrated our anniversary there for most of the 62 years we’ve been we’ve never been disappointed.
Tremendous overall value. Iconic service & menu. These special restaurants are disappearing in the US. Enjoy before they all disappear.
Wonderful place. The food was terrific with old school favorites you don’t see much anywhere and can’t make at home. Gracious service and beautiful decor, including the signature flowers. Perfect for a romantic lunch or dinner.
Figured I had to try this once. Upon arrival we were kidnapped from the door and rushed to a table by the bar. The back of the room was EMPTY and we asked to be seated there. After a Gallic Hurumph!!! we were then led to a table IN THE MIDDLE of the room despite MULTIPLE side and corner tables being empty. We politely requested a side table and were treated as if we asked for a bill from France for saving them from the Germans in WWII. I realize we are not regulars and under 90 years old but that was ridiculous. Food was just OK, not great. My green beans were cooked to the consistency of baby food. Sole was fishy tasting. Mustard Hollandaise sauce was brought out 10 minutes before fish so it was COLD!!!! Our waiter could not have been more unhappy and disinterested in us. I know he can be nicer because he was totally engaged with the next table who were obviously regulars. $25 bottle of wine marked up to $105. I am sticking with Le Bernadin from now on. Moral of the story: You DO NOT have to try this once.
Excellent and welcoming customer service. Delicious appetisers and entrées. Beautiful and lovely decor. Would highly recommend and visit again.
Magical and delicious. Everything is extraordinary. The flowers, food, service are the top.
We’re in our 80’s and since our college years, it’s been our favorite restaurant to celebrate when we come to NYC!
Food was amazing and the service was impeccable probably the most beautiful restaurant I’ve ever been in. I place this restaurant as my top 3 restaurants I have been to in NYC.
We hadn’t been to La Grenouille in many years and wanted to try again based on its continued great reputation and truly outstanding French gourmet menu. On the plus side, outstanding service and as always, this beautiful and elegant restaurant is further enhanced by magnificent floral arrangements. On the minus side, however, side by side banquettes are just too tight to sit comfortably, and between my wife and myself, we had 4 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 desserts. With the exception of a fabulous roast chicken worthy of 3 Michelin stars and arguably the best I’ve ever had, everything else was only in the “good” category———- thus our overall disappointment in the dining experience.
Appreciate the impeccable service.
Honored a request for a specific table.
Meant much- was our anniversary
Perfect for brunch, beautiful setting, delicious food, reasonable price and excellent service. And the coffee was excellent. Highly recommend!
