Established in 1962, glamorous and timeless La Grenouille offers classic French cuisine in an elegant and intimate setting. Owner Philippe Masson continues the family legacy by creating breathtaking flower arrangements and culinary delights with Chef Jean Christophe Guiony.
A garden of visual and epicurean marvels, La Grenouille serves Lunch and Dinner, Tuesday through Saturday. A spectacular three tiered skylight room with grand fireplace is available for private parties. À la Carte menu for Lunch and Dinner is served at the new “Aviator” bar designed by Philippe Masson. A bar dedicated to St. Exupery who, during the 1940’s, wrote part of the Little Prince upstairs in the Skylight room of La Grenouille.

Wonderful old world experience. As close to being in Paris without the flight .

This is a very special place. The foie gras divine. The Grand Mariner soufflé heavenly. The ambience is a little on the “romantic” side for a business lunch but you can hear each other talk and there is space on the table to open a notebook and take notes.

This place is called the frog so right off the bat I know it's about to be some straight fire. First comes this little plate which I wasn't loving but that's not the important part. The important part was the artichoke carpaccio with quail eggs... When I tell you the artichoke carpaccio had me feeling like I was low temping 90u rosin pressed at 120 degrees I mean this stuff was just the gas. The flavors danced on my tongue like Bardi used to do and kept dancing even after I ate the whole thing. If you want the rosin of French food this be it.

The last of the real French restaurants in Manhattan, ie authentic , not phony nor gimmicky, classical French cuisine. Delicious and at the same time not heavy at all. Hopefully they will not be wiped out by the moronic millenials and their hopeless tastes.

I've been a regular customer of the restaurant for decades. None-the-less, this tasting menu was one of the finest meals that I have ever had there. The owner himself asked my preferences, including what I wanted and excluding what I did not want, so that it all an all-star dinner. The occasion was the birthday of my best friend

What a pleasure to go back to La Grenouille, one of the few places left that emphasize beauty, comfort, and great food. No minimalism here: thank you for that!

A memory each time we visit and it is by far not only our favorite restaurant in NY C but a special place for any occasion. The hand arranged flowers by the owner to the most professional staff who know how to handle any customer’s wishes ..and with not being too intrusive . Can’t say anything but...you can not do better for French cuisine and ambience and service in NYC
